We had the absolute best time doing our Safari with Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris. The safari jeep is very comfortable (LOVED THE PILLOWS!), we got provided with the BEST FOOD (see the other reviews - it’s all true - varied, fresh, extremely tasty meals 3 times a day), soft drinks, water, beer and wine. We got to see the big 5 and many other incredible animals and nature. We were like a big family while our 3 days safari, made new friends and left with a light heart full of great memories that will last for a lifetime. Once in a lifetime safari - Wakanda Forever! 5 of us had the best experience possible for our 4 day safari with Wakanda Tours. From the beginning, Bartho the owner was very responsive over whatsapp, giving us many options to choose from and answering all questions quickly. Obviously with Covid it is difficult to commit to a big trip like this and Bartho totally understood, offering free cancellation should it be needed. The trip itself was phenomenal. Our guide Andrew was an absolute dream. The son of a Serengeti Park ranger his passion for the wildlife and knowledge of all the parks we visited was unbelievable. Thanks to him we completed the big 5 and saw no less than 4 leopards, one from about 3 metres away - truly magical stuff! Everyone's safari will be different in what you see but with a guide like Andrew you have the best chance possible of seeing everything you dreamed of. The food from our chef Dullah was of a crazy high standard for the tools he had available. Cooking from an open fire and bbq he produced breakfast, lunch and dinner to the standard of a resort hotel. Dont hesitate to get in touch with Bartho and he will answer any questions you have. All I can say is you would be crazy not to book with yhese guys!

We chose this safari with Serengeti Wakanda Tours because we were attracted by the positive reviews and, to be honest, also by the competitive price. Our expectations were not disappointed and indeed they were greatly exceeded: these 6 days proved to be the most beautiful and complete travel experience that we could have lived. Our guide, Felix, knew the national parks like the back of his hand. He was as attentive to driving as he was to satisfy our many expectations and curiosities. Prepared and full of attention, he proved to be not only an excellent guide, but also a dear travel companion, always cheerful, ready to joke and share moments of conviviality, always careful to teach us something new about the inhabitants of the Serengeti and other parks. Also excellent was the cuisine of our chef Idris (renamed "stomach engineer"), very young but talented and full of enthusiasm. In 6 days we were able to spot many animals and all five of the Big Five. Felix told us, with his usual modesty, that we were lucky. But we know that without his attention and knowledge of the places and habits of animals all this would not have been possible. We've had an amazing 6 day safari in 4 different national parks with Serengeti Wakanda with Simon as our guide and Ashraf as our cook! Simon is very experienced (10 years!), a good driver and a knowledgeable guide. He surely knows a lot about the animals and where to find them. We liked that he took enough time to observe different animals and took our preferences into account. Ashraf cooked us delicious warm meals 3 times a day (other groups with lunch boxes surely looked at us with envy). 2 nights we slept at a lodge, while other 3 at the campsite in the tents. I found the tents quite large (I could stand in it) and our mattresses quite soft. I liked our adventure very much!

It is hard to find the words to describe how amazing our safari tour was. It all started from the moment we met our guide Simon. Serengeti Wakanda Tours and Safaris did not only provide us a guide, but also a friend! Simon has a wonderful personality and a huge passion for animals! His positive energy and sense of humor made our trip memorable! He placed so much effort in ensuring that we always had the best possible location and view on all animal species. Whenever he would hear over the radio that there is a particular species or a pack of animals at a certain location, he would rush to that place to make sure we don’t miss the opportunity to see it! As a result, we did not only succeed to see all of the big 5, but made amazing photos thanks to Simon! In case an animal was far away, he did his best to make pictures look like it was just in front of us. His knowledge and experience provided so much context and understanding of the national resorts, animal behaviour, and laws of wildlife. He gave the answer to any question we had during our ride. If you are looking for a great safari, you can stop looking because you have just found it with Wakanda. My husband and I took the 6 day camping safari. Everything was perfect. Bartho, the owner, answered all my questions promptly via email and was very easy to work with. There were 5 tourists on our safari (max is 6) and our guide, Andrew, was wonderful to each one of us. He was very knowledgeable about every animal and bird we saw. He would always get us in the perfect location to best see the animals and anticipate what the animals would do so he could position the vehicle. He is a lovely, kind man. We saw so many animals (including the Big 5). I didn't know what the food would be but we had three meals a day prepared by the cook Dula using fresh ingredients. We saw other safari groups having box lunches but we had excellent dishes of food. The freshly baked bread using a camp oven was suberb. Two nights were in a basic lodge and three nights camping. The tents were large enough for 2 people and luggage and we each were issued a nice foam mattress so we slept well. The campgrounds had flush toilets and showers. I wouldn't hesitate to book another safari with them.

I am very happy to have chosen Serengeti Wakanda for my first safari company. After reading multiple reviews and checking other companies, I've settled with them due to Bartho answering all my questions via WhatsApp. Bartho arranged everything for us and he was very professional. Customer focused orientated and this has been seen throughout the safari through his employees. Benji has been our guide and Idris our cook/chef. I'll start by thanking them again here as they went above and beyond to make our safari an excellent experience. These two singlehandedly made our trip full of lifetime memories. Benji went above and took us to area of the park which were not that popular and basically didn't see any other tourists, we had an amazing day that day. Looking back I can't believe we experienced so much in only 5 days. Learned so much about Tanzania, swahili, music and culture. Idris was an excellent cook and we've been spoiled. Always hard at work and making sure we always have amazing breakfast, lunch and dinners. One thing which I wish I knew was to ask specifically for guides and cooks/chefs which are mentioned in reviews. Would definitely go with Benji and Idris again, no second thoughts.

We did a 5 day private safari with Serengeti wakanda and we were very impressed with the service all round. Bashir, our guide, was very knowledgable about all the different species of plants and animals. He was also very experienced which meant he took us on routes that allowed us to see the animals from the best angles including the big 5. He was easy going and made us feel very comfortable. Idris, our chef, cooked delicious fresh meals everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner which stood out from other companies. If you are struggling to choose a company, we highly recommend Serengeti wakanda - they will not leave you disappointed.

Highly recommend booking your tour with Serengeti Wakanda. We had an amazing time on our safari. Bashir was our driver and guide and Machete was our chef. We were able to see a lot of animals including lions, lion cubs, cheetah with her cubs, leopard, buffalo, elephants, zebras, hippos and also lots of other animals and birds. Bashir made sure we always had the best viewing spot and often we were the first ones finding the animals. We even saw lions hunting and the little cubs playing. Machete our chef always made sure we had plenty of delicious food for breakfast lunch and dinner. We visited many awesome picnic sites as well with great scenery to have our breakfast or lunch and also to drink coffee and tea. We felt very well taken care of as they also arranged our transfers from the hotel and back. Communication was excellent! Highly recommend!

My brother and i are 4 weeks backpacking in tanzania and also wanted to make a safari. We made a 6 days group safari with camping. The tends were very big and comfortable. The guide was friendly and absolute competente... and the food was the best i ate in Tanzania so far!! Also the other travelers were amazing. We hand a amazing time. Also enought cold beer and wine during the safari

We loved our 4 Days/ 3 Nights with Serengeti Wakanda Tours! Fredi and Benji were amazing, shared their knowledge and experiences with us and spotted every animal possible! We were able to see the big 5 and many more. Thanks also to Machete for the amazing food! In the end we even received a little gift bag to remember the trip! An absolutely incredible four day tour with Andrew around the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. Andrew did absolutely everything possible to make sure we had the trip of a lifetime seeing so much wildlife, even the Black Rhino! The food was delicious (shout out to Dula!) and everything from airport transfer to accommodation was perfect. Would recommend Wakanda Safari to everyone!

Book it!! No need to look further, because Serengeti Wakanda was absolute perfection. My husband and I cannot recommend this company enough! Our guide Andrew was extremely knowledgeable and knew the Serengeti like the back of his hand--this makes sense since he actually grew up living in the park itself! If you don't have an experienced guide, you may not see as much, especially in the low season when they can't rely on each other as much. The food was spectacular, and we noticed that we were one of the only groups that got home made hot meals every day for lunch (the other groups got cold sandwiches), and a beautiful spread with cutlery and tablecloth. Bartho truly cares about his customers, and we did not feel like just another number. We were in a time crunch to get to the airport--they even drove us completely out of their way, and an extra 2 hours, to drop us off directly. Overall it was one of the best experiences of our lives, and we absolutely plan on coming back!

I’ve not done a safari before but I’ve heard others complain about various other companies. Serengeti Wakanda was an amazing company. The manager (Bartho) was extremely helpful and always responded to my emails in the weeks leading up to the safari within hours. The guide for the tour (Andrew) and the chef (Idrisa) were both incredible people and made the whole experience all the better. Andrew knew his stuff and made sure that we saw the big 5 as closely as possible. The days started early, but he made sure that we were always the first to leave camp to increase the chance of seeing the big 5. This was especially successful on the day we saw the rhino as no other company that day saw one. The food was perfect too. Definitely the company to choose if you’re going on safari in Tanzania.

Look no further, because this is the safari company to book with! We booked the 4-Day Camping Safari and couldn‘t be happier with how the trip went. While booking the trip, Bartho (who is the owner of the company) was extremely nice and helpful with every question we had concerning our safari. The Safari itself was just amazing and even better than we could have ever imagined. Our guide Praise was very informative, fun and overall an amazing driver - because of the rainy season there were a lot of mudholes but he made sure we easily made it through all of them! We were able to see all of the Big Five several times and countless other animals extremely close up, which I am sure wouldn’t have been possible without the broad knowledge that Praise has about the animals and his ability to spot them from very far away. Dullah, our chef, was so talented and consistently cooked great vegetarian options for us. You can tell by the food he cooks that he really loves what he does as well. The camping sites where also chosen very well. We always felt safe while being so connected to nature, and the tents were very nice and comfortable as well. A big thank you to all of the Serengeti Wakanda Team! The trip really was an experience of a lifetime and I hope I will be back very soon.

We had a 5 day camping safari and had an amazing experience. Andrew was our guide, he was incredibly knowledgeable and had an amazing eye for spotting animals. I can not recommend him enough as a guide (he speaks great English and French). Our cook was also amazing Dullah, I am vegetarian and was a bit worried about what I would eat. He made great vegetarian options and I was spoiled for choice. We really enjoyed our trip and would recommend anyone looking to do a safari in Tanzania too use these guys.

I tend to be a bit difficult with service, quality, comfort etc. But Serengeti Wakanda really delivered a fantastic experience throughout the whole process and trip. Our guide Andrew was an excellent driver, incredible at helping us sighting animals from far and will always go the extra mile to make the experience more pleasant. He also knows Serengeti better than anyone else, and brought us to some remote areas where most tour groups will not bring you. The hotels we all very good and the food excellent (sometimes maybe a bit too much 😅). It will remain one of my very best travel experiences and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality personalised safari in Tanzania. Wakanda Forever!

Just had the most amazing trip with Serengeti Wakanda! Bartho was super efficient in the communication over WhatsApp and he’s always quick to reply. We signed up for the private lodge safari tour and the lodges arranged for us were amazing. Food was good too.. almost too much everyday. Andrew, our guide and driver was very knowledgeable and he drives super well. He knows Serengeti inside out and took routes that were not know to many drivers. He’s very good at spotting animals from far too. Kudos to him for the long driving hours everyday.

We did the 6-day group Safari (6 people in one truck) and we traveled as a couple. Everything went very smooth and was well organized and professional. At first we contacted Bartho via email, who is the manager and owner of the company, he sent us a detailed itinerary and the price (which was significantly lower than other companies had to offer). Then we made a small deposit via Revolut and paid the rest at the beginning of the safari in USD in cash directly to Bartho, who came to our hotel. The next day in the morning our guide (Praise) picked us up in a Toyota Land Cruiser (most companies use this exact model) and our adventure started. Everything went very well during the whole trip and Praise showed us many great places where we came extremely close to the fascinating wildlife (yes, we saw the big five). During the Safari there is a cook also on the truck. Our cooks were Idris and Suleyman who both prepared amazing meals everyday in very simple improvised kitchens. All in all we can highly recommend this company and would also recommend to our family and friends. TIPP: If you are also doing the Ngorogoro Crater bring warm clothes, especially if you do the tented Safari. At night time temperatures were around 5°C, the provided sleeping bags were alright but without jackets before and after going to bed we would really have been freezing, since the camp is at around 2300m.

I originally hoped to find an operator after arriving in Arusha, so had booked accommodations and arranged airport transfer through that hotel for our arrival. After a bit more research, I worried that we might miss out booking last minute in high season, so reached out to Bartho at Serengeti Wakanda. All info was clear and prices extremely competitive and his professionalism and timely replies really made me comfortable about booking ahead. To maximise our time in Arusha, I booked the 6-day budget camping safari and a day tour that includes a hike to Materuni waterfall, lunch and coffee tour with the local community and swimming at a hot spring oasis. When we arrived at Arusha Airport, I was disappointed that my hotel’s promised transfer was not there. After being unable to reach the hotel I booked myself, I reached out to Bartho. Within 10 minutes he sent a driver to pick us up and take us to a hotel. I’m extremely grateful for his quick resourcefulness and willingness to help! It saved the start of our trip. It had rained overnight before our waterfall tour. Joseph was our driver and guide for the day and he was an expert driver. We made our way in a 4-wheel drive vehicle with no problems whereas we passed many other tour groups stuck in the mud as the road up the mountain is not paved! Just an example of how prepared the team at Serengeti Wakanda is and they use appropriate vehicles and drivers/guides. Our safari was amazing. Our guide Felix is super knowledgeable about all aspects of the wildlife including the smallest birds, which I was really interested in. He is also a careful driver and respectful of the roads and wildlife so we always felt comfortable and safe. It doesn’t mean he compromises on the exciting bits! We managed to have front row seats to a lioness leading 7 lion cubs across to a small river for their first drink. That was out of this world and so cute! And we saw 4 leopards, 3 servals, lost count of lions, elephants, 2 cheetah brothers and so much more than we expected to see. Finally hats off to Dullah our chef who made the most amazing food and fed us better than kings and queens. He was always watching over us and took care of little details like making sure to close out tent flaps when we were out on safari if it rained. His magic box oven (charcoal powered) was impressive and provided freshly baked bread, pizza, and cakes while in the middle of nowhere! Thank you to the Serengeti Wakanda team!

Wakanda is a 10 out of 10 company. They offer an amazing service, they have a truly qualified team (both safaris and Kilimanjaro) and give you the best experience. I lived in Tanzania for more than 2 months and it was quite difficult to spot a good company above all there are, and Wakanda really sparks from others. They are serious, always guarantee the best service and are flexible. Food at both Kilimanjaro and Serengeti were beyond expectations. Always a hot meal and with a great cook. Thank you for all!
