We leveraged Chalema Tanzania Safaris & Keith as a guide for our Christmas holidays safari. It was very well organized, Joel took time to tailer-made our safari and was very reactive. We loved the beautiful colors of Lake Natron, the Maasai culture at the Giraffe Eco Lodge, and the waterfall trail. Our nights at Tanzania Bush Camp in Serengeti we’re amazing, straight in the bush, we saw 20 lions passing by after our dinner!! It’s a must go, with so many animals + the great migration of wildebeest. Our guide, Keith, was very professional, patient & resilient. He drove us around for 5 days, sometimes 10 hours in a row. We saw the Big Five thanks to him and countless cats! We were almost bored of seeing lions at the end of our safari…! I would warmly recommend Chalema Tanzania Safaris & our French speaking guide Keith whom help us live this extraordinary African experience!

This was an absolutely amazing tour. I have been to Tanzania and to a few of these parks before but coming here a second time was better than the first. Most people I see they travel in groups or with their loved one but I came solo and I couldn’t have felt more safe and taken care of through the entire journey. My guides name was Shaban and he was excellent. He was very knowledgeable on everything, he was very patient with me, helped tailor the entire experience specific to me, and was just an overall amazing person. He was also someone I felt very comfortable with and had no problems sitting down and just talking about general life with him. On numerous occasions, I ate multiple meals with him and was able to have conversations with him not related to the tour. In short I’d recommend Shaban to anybody going on this tour.

Faire les trois parcs sur 4 jours est assez intense et la route pour aller au Serengeti est assez longue mais nous ne nous sommes pas lassé des passages parcourus. A noter enfin que des différents devis reçus avec des agences locales, Chalema était le plus intéressant.

We did a 8-day safari with CHALEMA in February 2023 and were entirely satisfied with everything: Joël immediately got in touch through whatsapp (also calling us in Switzerland) and listened to our ideas, at one point giving sound advice for improvement so that we ended up with a perfectly fitting itinerary for us that took into consideration the seasonal migration in the south of Serengeti (Ndutu) – this proved to be the ideal place for the most amazing sightings of wildlife! We were picked up at the airport by Praygod, our guide, who - although young (25 yrs) - spotted so many animals and knew exactly how to guide us to the best places. He was a great source of information for our thousand questions about life in Tanzania and a very helpful and friendly young man. We particularly enjoyed the local curries for lunch (instead of the lunch boxes with all the trash they produce) and Praygod even arranged a local Ugali dish for us. Our jeeps battery was quite weak at one point and the agency arranged for a quick replacement, sending one from Arusha to our location in very little time. We can fully recommend Chalema.

Me and my wife did the safari together for our honeymoon in July. We did the tour with Shabani, which was a kind, patient and amazing driver. We had a 6 days safari all included with Aruna, our guide and companion during the trip. We have visited the northern part of Tanzania, slept in tents and drove many km to see the big 5. We were so lucky to have Aruna as our guide, as he was patient, welcoming and always ready to go above and beyond for us to get to see our favorite animals which were sometimes hidden far in the savanah. We felt safe and taken care of along the trip. The agency shared some important information about the clothing to wear, the budget for tips and many other facts about the country.
