The guides (John and Baraka) were amazing, they are really good with kids, and they have answer to any question about nature, animals, Tanzania and Tanzanian people. We also had chef (Emanuel) and the food was amazing, really delicious. We travelled with friends, both with two kids and Tanzanian people are really friendly. We really recommend Crater explorer (Emanuel)!!!!!!!

What an incredible trip! We saw all that we had hoped to and more. The trip was well organised and when the Jeep broke down a replacement was quickly sorted. The food courtesy of Emmanuel 'the stomach engineer' was amazing. David and David, our two drivers, were both knowledgeable and gave us some remarkable animal encounters as well as driving safely on tricky roads. A wonderful experience.

Great safari experience! Beautiful location, well organised. The guides were exceptionally friendly and pointed out animals, whilst also giving us a good background to the area. The food was great and made by the chef (stomach engineer) Emmanuel, who was a great addition to our trip. We managed to see all of the big five, alongside staying in fabulous locations with beautiful views, right in the heart of the parks. The only issue we had was on payment - we were asked to pay in cash (without prior warning) and then, when we naturally didn’t have such a large amount of dollars on us, we were made to pay 5% extra for using card, which was a significant sum of money. Aside from that, it was a wonderful trip and we would fully recommend!

Our 4-day safari perfectly organized by Emmanuel and led by the exceptional guide, Tuma, surpassed all expectations. Tuma's knowledge ensured incredible wildlife sightings. Every meal was freshly cooked and very delicious. For me and my girlfriend this first safari was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

We have 3-days safari with Crater Explorer. This was amazing journey. Emanuel met us in the Arusha airport and took us to the nice hotel in the centre of Arusha. In the morning the driver took us from the hotel and we went to Serengeti. The road was really tough but our experienced driver did his best to take us on time. We had some stops for lunch and restrooms so the trip was not very hard. We had two nights in camps: one in Serengeti and one in Ngorongoro. The driver and the chief did their best for keeping us happy, well-fed and well-sleep. In Ngorongoro zebras walked near the tents and in Serengeti - marabu and mongooses! We have seen all the big 5: even the rhino, which is really hard to see! And leopard eating on the tree, lions with their prey, cheetah, elephants and hippos with their babies and so much more. Everything was organised well, the food was delicious and the experience was really breathtaking!

We had a 3 day safari through Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Everything was well organized by Emanuel, we always felt safe and had no worries (Hakuna Matata ;) ) Our driver Loi was the best tour guide, he knows very much about the animals and could answer every question. He makes every wish come true und knows the parks like no one else. We have seen almost every wild animal we had wished for! Crater Explorer Tours are highly recommended!

The 3-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater safari was beyond anything I had expected. Emmanuel (the tour operator) was prompt, responsive, and went above and beyond to help us with our needs. Our guide, Justo, was a great driver and spotter of animals—he knew when to be patient and when to move on. Our cook made us fantastic homemade meals—they were balanced with protein, vegetables & fruits, and carbohydrates. My gut stayed happy the entire trip. The accommodation in Arusha was safe, expedient, and comfortable (we also had a view of Mt Meru). The restaurant served excellent buffet breakfast and the service was impeccable. Last but not least, the experience of visiting wild animals in their natural habitat was breathtaking. Some animals (monkeys and zebras) opted to visit us humans on the campsite ;) The photos speak for themselves. Overall, I give Emmanuel and his team 5 big stars. Highly recommend!

We booked a 3 day safari through crater explorer tours which was brilliant. They picked us up from Arusha airport and transport was included through out the trip between the parks meaning this was worry free. The hotels and lodges were all clean and modern with nice food. We had guides on the trips that were knowledgeable and were lucky to see so much wildlife. Communication from the company has been quick and helpful. I would recommend using this company if you are coming to Tanzania- we had a great experience. August is a good time to come because we were told it is dry season meaning the animals are easier to spot in the undergrowth

We had the best time on our safari trip with Crater Explorers! Emanuel was very helpful in coordinating our trip, and he answered all of our questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. We felt confident that we would have a good experience even before it started. The accommodations were fantastic! We stayed at a lodge and a tented camp, and they both felt luxurious. Emanuel, the chef, prepared amazing food for us and we never went hungry. We always looked forward to his meals! Frank, our tour guide, made the safari so memorable. He knew all the good spots in the park, and his knowledge about the animals and their behaviors and habitats really elevated an already amazing experience. I will never forget how Frank skillfully tracked a leopard so we could see it up close. We would highly recommend Crater Explorers, and if you’re lucky enough to have Frank and Emanuel on the trip, you will be guaranteed a wonderful time.

We booked 5 days 4 nights (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara) with Emanuel and everything went smoothly from booking, meeting at the airport and of course the safari. Our family with 2 sons (13, 10 years old) had a trip of our life. Guides John and Baraka are so knowledgable (both Masais!), friendly with kids and very thoughtful. We saw 44 different animals, including baby lions :) Chef Emanuele cooked us three hot meals a day, from pancakes in the morning, hot lunch and dinner with soup and dessert. The accomodations at Panorama (stoney igloos) and public campsites at Seronera (Serengeti) and Simba (Ngorongoro) were above expectations and added pristine feeling of night in the park. We couldn't recommend Crater tour more!

We chose Emmanuel and Crater Explorer Tours and Safaris for a 3 day safari in Serengeti park and Ngorongoro crater. We came for our honeymoon and we thank Emmanuel from the bottom of our hearts for his perfect organisation. We were taken care of from start to finish (our luggage was lost and Emmanuel brought it back to us within 24 hours) and the group on our safari was really great. We looked for a great option to go on a 3 days safari that covered Serengeti as well as Ngorogoro Crater and found Crater Explorer Tours via safari bookings. I cannot recommend booking this operator enough. Starting with an extremely fast, friendly and reliable communication by Emanuel (organiser) we felt extremely well taken care of in every aspect of the tour. He picked us up at the airport and brought us to our very nice first hotel in Arusha. The next morning we were picked up by our amazing driver/guide (also Emanuel) and our lovely chef (yes, also Emanuel). All the timings went exactly as planned and once we had collected the other members of our little safari group our journey started. We did 2 days in Serengeti and 1 in the Ngorogoro crater. I cannot count how many animals we have seen, but it was definitely all to the knowledge of the best guide, that we found all the right spots and even witnessed a full on lion pride hunting scene! We must have asked a million questions and Emanuel had every answer. We learned so much and we could feel his love and passion for the animals and his job, even after doing it for 16 years! He is also a great driver and we always felt safe. The food our lovely chef prepared for us was delicious on every occasion and more than enough! We had booked a luxury lodge option and both nights our accommodation was incredible, but the camping spots looked like a great and fun option too. All in all I can say this was a once in a lifetime experience and for sure some of the most beautiful days of my life! I would go again in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the team!

We did a 3 day, 2 night safari with Crater Explorer, Tours, and Safaris and LOVED it! Emanuel was super helpful in communicating with us before hand, answering any questions and concerns we had. He met us at the hotel the evening we arrived, and was there the morning of our safari, introducing us to our guide and our cook. Pascal was an awesome guide, full of information on the animals, trees, plants, and more. He made sure we were comfortable and got the best out of our time. Our cook, Emanuel (another Emanuel) was incredible! We had so much delicious food and he spent so much time making sure we were well fed and taken care of. All in all, it was a great experience!

Incredible experience! Emmanuel has been here for us from the beginning until the end. He answered to all of our requests. During the safari, everything was perfect and well organized. We have seen the big five and many others animals. The landscapes are amazing and animals have so much to offers to us. David, the guide really loves his job and he shared everything about animals with us. Moreover, the food is really really good!! the chef cooks very well! Very happy with the overall service from Crater Explorers, Emmanuel was very friendly from the beginning and very obliging to all our requests. We chose the 5-day Safari, were met at the airport and brought to a hotel in Arusha overnight. Emmanuel met us himself to go through everything the next morning before heading off on our safari. Our guide was very friendly, and the journey was very comfortable. We had a small issue with timings on day 3 but that was quickly resolved once we contacted Emmanuel and he more than made up for it. My only recommendation would be to ensure you have a smaller bag to bring with you on your Safari, we had suitcases as we were going elsewhere after Tanzania, and were not aware we needed to bring a smaller bag for the 5 days.

We booked a 5 day/4 night safari after friends recommended the trip to us. From start to finish, Emanuel has been faultless and couldn't do enough for us. We were picked up from the airport and dropped at our hotel in Arusha that night. The next morning, we were collected from the hotel and met up with the rest of the group. The driver was friendly, welcoming and we felt at ease. The safari itself was fabulous and we saw lots of animals which created many memories. The drivers were more than happy to stop for as long as we wanted to see the animals and they also talked on radios to each other to so that we didn't miss any opportunities. We chose to stay in the lodges instead of camping which were all perfect and even better than we had hoped for. At one lodge in the Serengeti, there were elephants roaming around freely all night and were still there in the morning! The meals provided (breakfast, lunch and dinner) were all delicious and the chef cooked a variety of different options. Emanuel also sorted gluten free options for myself which was a bonus and he also let all the lodges and drivers know about it so there was no risk of being unwell. Emanuel was always at the end of the phone whenever we had questions and nothing was too much trouble for him. He even came to our hotel on our final night to check we were happy with the safari experience - a lovely touch which not many companies would bother doing. We wouldn't hesitate to book again with Crater Explorer if we wanted another safari experience.

Hakuna Matata. I would recomend Crater Explorer and Emanuel a hundred times to anyone traveling to Tanzania. First, Emanuel is a Tanzanian Entrepreneur, and I try to travel with local Companies for many reasons. Their knowledge of the ground and the country, their presence upon arrival. And I was amazed by Emanuel’s fast reactivity. He answered as soon as he received my email, and then kept on Answering all my questions and doubts at any time. And always on top of everything. I have enjoyed All what I expected from this trip and much more. And I got to see the big 5, as the driver/guide made his best to show us everything.. The food was excellent, the lodges amazing. This is a lifetime experience everyone should have, and the kindness and amability of Emanuel, and Tanzanian people is unquestionable. We are a groupe of 6 friends Ho dreamed of doing a safari for so long. We choose crater explorer for our first African safari ! We were not at all disappointed but rather very pleased. Emmanuel is a very good host who listened and met everything we asked. He met us at the airport drove us to our hôtel in arusha and spent the hole day with us. He gives very good advices for where to buy things etc. The day after we met our guide david. A very good human being who knows his ways around the parks. He took us to serengeti, Tarangire and ngorongoro. He gave us very good informations along the way and toke good care of us. Frankly we couldn’t ask for a better guide. The food was delicious, we had some home cooked meals even in the wilderness. We stayed at marrera mountain view lodge for our first night than seronera wild life and simba camp. Frankly, the lodges exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend crater explorer for a safari for their hospitality, good price and good humour.
