While
traveling
from
Pune,
we
took
a
lunch
break
at
Solapur.
Looking
at
the
overall
locality,
I
was
afraid
of
getting
a
decent
place
to
eat.
On
Google,
I
found
Hotel
Kamal
as
the
best
rated
pure
veg
restaurant
in
Solapur,
so
we
selected
this
one.
It
is
located
in
the
prominent
place,
Panjarapol
(पांजरापोळ)
chowk.
Still,
locating
it
was
a
bit
difficult
as
the
name
plate
was
very
old.
There
is
a
rickshaw
stand
in
front
of
it's
door
and
a
NO
PARKING
board
as
well.
But
the
security
guard
told
us
to
park
our
car
there
itself.
They
have
private
parking
available,
only
for
the
guests
staying
in
the
Lodge.
Yes,
it
is
a
lodge
and
they
have
this
small
restaurant
on
the
first
floor,
that
can
accommodate
roughly
25-30
people.
The
ambience
is
not
much
to
talk
about,
it
is
slightly
old.
We
ordered
Veg
Makhanwala
and
Chapati.
As
Pithla-Bhakri
(पिठलं-भाकरी)
is
famous
dish
in
Solapur
we
ordered
that
as
well.
Pithla
is
called
Tawa
Besan
(तवा
बेसन)
here.
They
also
serve
Jain
food.
The
taste
was
surprisingly
good.
Especially
the
the
Tawa
Besan
is
a
must
try.
It
looks
red
and
spicy
but
it
is
really
not
that
spicy.
The
Bhakri
is
also
of
right
size
and
thickness.
One
can
eat
two
Bhakri.
Overall
we
liked
everything
we
ordered.
The
staff
was
courteous
and
helpful.
The
bill
was
almost
half
of
what
we
would
pay
in
Pune.
Card
payment
facility
was
not
available.
A
common
toilet
(Indian
styled)
for
the
lodge
is
available.
It
was
not
very
clean,
but
serves
the
purpose.
This
hotel
should
be
your
oasis
in
the
desert.
