While traveling from Pune, we took a lunch break at Solapur. Looking at the overall locality, I was afraid of getting a decent place to eat. On Google, I found Hotel Kamal as the best rated pure veg restaurant in Solapur, so we selected this one. It is located in the prominent place, Panjarapol (पांजरापोळ) chowk. Still, locating it was a bit difficult as the name plate was very old. There is a rickshaw stand in front of it's door and a NO PARKING board as well. But the security guard told us to park our car there itself. They have private parking available, only for the guests staying in the Lodge. Yes, it is a lodge and they have this small restaurant on the first floor, that can accommodate roughly 25-30 people. The ambience is not much to talk about, it is slightly old. We ordered Veg Makhanwala and Chapati. As Pithla-Bhakri (पिठलं-भाकरी) is famous dish in Solapur we ordered that as well. Pithla is called Tawa Besan (तवा बेसन) here. They also serve Jain food. The taste was surprisingly good. Especially the the Tawa Besan is a must try. It looks red and spicy but it is really not that spicy. The Bhakri is also of right size and thickness. One can eat two Bhakri. Overall we liked everything we ordered. The staff was courteous and helpful. The bill was almost half of what we would pay in Pune. Card payment facility was not available. A common toilet (Indian styled) for the lodge is available. It was not very clean, but serves the purpose. This hotel should be your oasis in the desert.

I would surely be confident that this would be worst of all restaurants in Solapur. First it's very expensive, most unhygienic and very rude behaviour. I found a insect in chutney. When informed the waiter was offended and started rudely. Whole family had to waste our food.

Very Near From Central Bus Stand Of Solapur. Average food and taste. Do not go with high expectations. Good Place for travelers to have quick meal.

Most unhealthy and unhygienic food being served here. Street foods are 0fer than the food served here . I found a small cockroach in knd had food plopto dosa, where ally watery. My e had food allerg ter having here. Please never take any aged peope as this would impact more.

Though being in main center at solapur. Next to center busstand. Serves the food at a very very slow rate. Went for lunch and had to wait more than 1 hour 30 min to get starter. and when asked about main course waiter says it was mistakenly servered to other people and had to prepare again. Which he though not to inform.And it amazed me when I saw urad dal tadka on Gobi 65. Left the hotel without eating food after waiting for 2 hours for food. Best recommended don't not visit this place.

Worst hotel i have ever visited, the waiter dosent come to u, u have to beg behind him for 30min to take order, after that 1 main course, gobi came in next 1 hour and that to burnt, n main course? That never came, because my whole family got so furstrated that we left the place, and hotel dint even care about it. N they charge extra. I and my dad we ordered Punjabi thali and it was great in taste every bite was dilcious and yes these was the restaurant that did understand the values and also the persons taste we are from Mumbai but these was much better what we eat there. Must visit and try eating hir. I was in Solapur for just one day or els I would have tried other items as well from the menu. Lovely staff, I was exausted from driving or els I might have clicked picture of the food. Keep the same taste guys.

Had ordered masala papad and veg maratha. but both were only having heavy Mirchi powder used as masala. After we got masala papad we had conveyed our thoughts on dish to management and asked to not use to much Mirchi powder. But same result.

Food is ok. But don't try starters here we tried Manchuria it is very hard and dried I wasn't able to finish it. But their roti and curries are fine.

Cheapest hotel near Shivaji chowk area... little bit tasty...we had like veg Maratha here... suggestion -they should have improve about good care survice and servent costumes

If you are looking for South Indian food then it's not good, only evening north Indian and Punjabi thali is good.
