So we had done a booking through Zomato GOLD. We reached at 8pm. They made us wait 10min to give us a table. After ordering they took 30min to get us the drinks and appetizers. there were 3 people serving 10 or 12 tables. Food portions are super small. 100 to 150gms servings at the most. Maybe they did this coz it was a discounted booking through Zomato but I'm not sure. Food taste very average. the street vendor would make.more delicious food. And food is expensive compared to the other 5 stars and portions served. We ordered Margarita which was not upto the mark for a 5star. It was bitter. Service was very very bad. Also not at all value for money. there was a section reserved for a birthday party. it was very noisy. not a fine dine experience at all. Don't go to this place. Go if u want to spoil your evening. Or if You want to entertain your enemies there.

Beautiful ambience with an actual waterfall inside the restaurant. Had lunch here which had a real authentic Thai taste reminding me of my visit to Thailand. Went there for a Thai tourism cooking event and will definitely be visiting this place again with family. Recommended for sure.

Visiting this place after the pandemic and to summarise my experience in a sentence ..... " A perfect way to flush your money down the drain" To start with the table reservation system was a complete sham. We came here to celebrate an anniversary but they did not book the table or have any clue of the confirmation. The restaurant was only intent on trying to throw it's 20k chef table down our throats. When we arrived there half the items on the menu that make them unique in Pune could not be served. So they were unable to serve Edemame dim sums, no Bao (soft bun) based dishes were available either and half the dessert menu was unavailable. The service was terribly slow. The fabled ambience of the restaurant was marred by the strong stentch of chlorine. Despite our disappointment, we ordered two dishes and those were the true disappointment. They have mayonese flavouring on the Sushi (yikes) and the dimsums we got were terrible. Ban Tao has seen a hard fall from grace and is a perfect waste of time and money. It's a restaurant that has not recovered from the pandemic and these experiences will further drag it into ruins. (Edit in response to the management review): Unlikely that I will ever be back to that lousy hotel There are far better options in Pune. This hotel has honestly gone to the dust. Not enough staff, trash service and terrible food!!

We had an amazing experience at Bantao last night. The ambience was mesmerizing. The delicacies served were authentic delicious and very presentable. The staff was prompt and courteous. The Chef was very approachable and open for feedback and suggestions. We would certainly be going back.

Had been there last week with Family and a guest staying on hotel itself, Chose this restaurant as all family member wanted to have Thai/chainies food, Looking at the +4 rating on google chose 'Baan Tao' however experience was completely opposite. Service was awful, very lukewarm response, food was average, it was just ok (nothing exiting out it). Definitely this restaurant can not come even in top 20 Asian restaurants in pune. While doing payment their 1st they did not accept American expresses card, I gave my ICICI credit card, then card machine was NOT working, they were insisting on doing payment via Gpay, went to reception and made the payment after calling restaurant manager. The only good part was ambiance however if service and food is not good, ambiance can not do much help. Giving 1 star for ambiance and parking facility.

One of the finest Asian restaurant in pune. Amazing service, delicious food and great staff. I went there for dinner with my wife on her birthday. And they made it memorable with their gesture and service. The coordinator Ms Ananya helped us a lot and made our day memorable. We had so many Asian dishes and out of all, Sushi was the best. Dumplings and Khao Suey was delicious too. Overall it was our best experience and we would visit soon. 2nd visit : Went for the Brunch buffet. And again not disappointed. They have so many options in main course and desserts. It was a worth going. Prawn Sushi was delicious and chicken Sushi was ok. Service was good . Not to mention Sangaria tasted awesome however not too alcoholic.

I celebrated my Birthday here. Subhro and Kimjaneng provided prompt service and highly cooperative in giving us best visible space adjacent to fountain. Awesome ambience , I had awesome time. Highly recommended.

Private party organised by a friend. Very bad service. Starters were not being rotated. Lights were switched off to indicate that we should leave. And the staff very unwilling to service after requesting 5-6 times. Not worth paying the high costs and getting such service. They clearly do not care. We attended the New Years party also here (not learning from our earlier experience) and hoped that things turned out better. But similar experience. False information about Baan Tao space priced higher being exclusive. There was more variety of food and liquor in other restaurants. Buffet was closed at 12:15. Can you imagine after countdown on dance floor you come back to realise there is no food. The management should have informed of this earlier. There was such a scramble for food. More food got wasted in just collecting what one could. And lights were switched off again - I don’t know what is it with this hotel that it chooses to rudely tell people to leave by switching off lights. I am 100% sure that I am not going back there. Better places and at better prices are available. Why give patronage to an inhospitable hotel!

I am giving one star due to below reason. 1) Food was good but taking time to serve the food. 2) Sometimes they were forgetting to take the order so we have to remind to bring the order. 3) They have given the wrong bill also and that too we have to remind why we have charged too much. 4) This is the most important thing that i am vegetarian and it was my wife birthday and they have provided be egg cake which was not tolerable at all so that i have to complain also to consumer court how they can serve the egg cake to vegetarian. I have visited on 4 October 2022. If bill is required that i can attach also so hyaat should take a serious actions.

Exclusive is the name for Baan Tao.. wonderfully quiet when you wanna enjoy the conversation n the food n not the overbearing music.. seriously good Italian food n you will happily get stuff not on the menu, all made to perfection.. nice collection of wines to pair up.. missed tiramisu but the sorbet made up for it..

Just got back from a family dinner at Baan Tao. Place looks it's part however they took forever to get our drinks and starters, which weren't even great. Though they didn't argue when we shared our feedback n tried their best to fix our drinks. Mains were decent. It was an expensive dinner for subpar service and ordinary food.

The place is very beautiful. I went there for a wedding so I didn't order any food as it was a buffet system. Food was good but needed a little more spices.

A very nice place for a Sunday brunch if you like Asian cuisine! The live grill and wok was really good! We also enjoyed khausuey , dimsums ,sushi and fresh salads - the papaya salad and the mango beans salad were absolutely flavourful.. The ambiance of the place is also very beautiful and would surely recommend outdoor seating!The staff is very courteous

Salads : Raw Mango Som Tam - It was the noodles with mixture of shredded raw mango which gave the perfect flavour. What a lovely place,transported me to a different place. Amazing decor, water bodies, green plants , colorful umbrellas. The food is awesome, quick service, well compiled menu. The staff is helpful, cordial. Over all loved the experience. Would highly recommend,now I know why this one begs the times awards all the time 😊

I celebrated my birthday here and it was an amazing experience. Snehal served well and was really sweet. They gave us complimentary birthday cake and the food was really delicious especially their special soup!

The place is not upto the mark for a 5 star hotel restaurant. The ambience is fine although the food quality is not good. When we said we didn’t like a dish they gave us complimentary pastries which weren’t fresh at all. Not expected this at all from a restaurant operating at a reputed hotel.

Extremely rude and unapologetic staff. We could have spelt the name of the manager but don’t wish to get there. Inspite of asking a reservation extending a little later than their operating hours and confirming the same over the phone they complained about the kitchen staff being on break and staying unable to serve. The food quality also deteriorating of late.

Baan tao is one of the best places in Pune to eat sizzlers 💯😋😋. The ambiance is old school and cozy with a variety of sizzlers (mostly consists of NON-VEG portions) and a limited veg options to choose from. The sizzlers are amazing and 1 sizzler,1 person is more than enough or rather we should consider 2 people in 1 sizzler for the best 😂😂. The staff is very co-operative and the the cord is well managed by them. Just try to reach there before the dinner time to avoid waiting. Overall the experience was good and had an amazing sizzler to enjoy with

Very very bad food.. Disastrous evening..had to wait for more than an hour only for starter!!the food was served in a haphazard way... The side dishes came much later n infact we had to cancel some meals.. N the food was nowhere close to Thai food... It is sad that a reputed hotel like this can get away with such poor food quality n charge a bomb.. I suggest anyone thinking of going to ban Tao to avoid it.. Look for an alternative...

We ordered a take away. It was totally disappointing to say the least. 1.there were 3 grape sized dim sums in one portion 2.The steamed fish had so much chilly that no body could eat it 3.The jasmine rice had no fragrance.. They had used some sticky rice. The prawns, stir fried chicken and red curry had no taste or Thai flavour.. I wouldn't eat there or order from there ever again

Went here for dinner on Sunday, and it was not as crowded. Social distancing between tables was maintained by ensuring sufficient distance between tables, and the staff was wearing masks at all times. To make a reservation, you need to call the mobile number listed as the Fishbowl on Zomato/Google, which is the restaurant on the same floor as Baan Tao. Food is a mix of South East Asian popular items, mostly Thai and inspired. Portions were good, though the Tom Yum lacked the characteristic taste. The food is quite mild - so if you like the hot flavours of this region, I recommend sticking to Malaka Spice. The chef came and asked if we wanted anything else, which was nice. The ambience is a little dark for my liking, but nice for a date. Overall, I will likely visit again.
