The only government millinery school in Maharashtra. Established in 1961. The main aim to provide good candidate for National Defense academy (NDA). Initially school was outside of the city but now it come inside. From Bus station of Satara you can take Rickshaw for the school. ( 20 Rs.). Distance is 2km.

The best school I have ever found ! And the 7 years completed in it were the best ! Sainik school gives you friends for life ,care tacking teachers , best environment and the most important thing it teaches you the way of life .How to deal with each and every problem of life !! How to overcome every stress you meet with !!!!and what to say much it gives you everything that is needed for your all round personality development !! At last I would say whatever am today it's because of this school !!!

One of the outstanding school of India. It's the first sainik school of India. And i am proud that i part of it. I am cadet in this school. I love my school andyiu will also love if you can enter. But it's not possible easily😅. After all it's is best ✌️👍😎

Great place with an illustrious line-up of alumni to boast. If you prefer your kid stay away from home then probably this school is a good idea. CBSE board affiliation and medium of instruction is English, they emphasize on a lot of physical activities so your kid will naturally be one of the fittest kids around, though the point of sending your loved one away is highly debatable.

It's my school and I am truly proud of it, it has a great campus including everything that needs for making a tough and responsible soldier. The campus is spread across 125 acres of land which includes boys hostels, playgrounds, school building, swimming pool, a big library, medical room and hospital canteen and a lot more. The school gives a lot importance to discipline and physical activities. This school offers a pre NDA training facilities to get selected in Indian army forces.

Sainik School Satara is the first of it's kind in India. Constructed on the land donated by the then Defence Minister, late Yeshwantrao Chavan.
