Even tho’ the restaurant is really good. I ordered the shrimp tacos and it was a bad decision. It’s an appetizer, I was told it was an entrance… and it have a bad presentation, Like they just throw things there … also they put it in a huge plate that the tacos disappear. Cherry lemonade was good.

Absolutely horrible experience. Staying at a hotel nearby asked the concierge for a recommendation of the best restaurant in the city and they named Varadero. It was a horrible rainy night and we could not get a taxi. I walked two blocks to the restaurant with an umbrella; however, by the time we arrived l definitely looked like a wet dog. That being said before we evening said good evening the host asked us if we had a reservation. I answered that we were told by the hotel we didn't need one. She told us they were fully committed and it was not possible. She was extraordinarily rude. The restaurant was not even close to half full and it was 9:45 on a Friday. They close at 11. I've eaten at many of the best restaurants in the world and and never believed the reviews I've read in the past similar to this. To confirm my suspicions I immediately called the restaurant requesting a reservation for 10:15 and they were happy to accommodate. Disgusting behavior. I would not eat here for free if offered.

I can only review the experience I had at this place. My wife and I really wanted to try this but after waiting for over half an hour without anybody even giving us a menu after asking multiple times for one we finally just got up and left to go to a much friendlier restaurant around the corner. I guess if we were willing to wait an extra unknown amount of time it could've been worth it but we were hungry and had to move on. At least if they would've given us menus and some drinks it wouldn't have been so bad.

FANTASTIC food, good priced, and a really cool speak easy in the back with many scotches and bourbon.

No doubt- this is the best Cuban restaurant in Colombia. The food was espectacular. We asked the waiter to bring their best plates and not tell us what was coming, everything was a great a delicious surprise. Would go back anytime, hope they open in the US too.

I find my self coming back every time. Menu is Cuban-Fusion. Very good food. Excellent quality, and great atmosphere. It gets very full on weekends as they have a very good live Cuban band that performs there. So need to reserve first.

They were really good. The food was excellent and fresh! A little pricey compared to Barranquilla prices but not bad when you consider the quality of the food. I ordered the seafood platter. After signing credit card slip I realized they had over charged by 130,000 pesos - for two main dishes we did not have. After the wine incident I can’t help wonder if this is a usual scam to cheat their foreign customers. Compliant handled well and with a smile but I can’t help wonder if this place deliberately steals from its customers.

Varadero it's a very nice option for a fusion Caribbean experience. The staff was very friendly and offer a really good service. The food was delicious, very well served and the taste was just beyond my expectations. I would totally recommend this place to have a lovely night in Barranquilla and enjoy local flavors, music and ambience.
