We stayed in Hotel during carnival on FEB 2018. The hotel seems OK according reviews online but we had a very bad experience. Someone (from hotel staff because room was protected by room card) rob our room and steal cash from hidden pocket in our luggage. Also they copied our debit card and made some purchases online. We contacted the Hotel (we were in different town when we find out) several times and no reply at all. I highly didn't recommend this hotel. Stay away and look for other accommodation.

Not soo good hotel for a few reasons: location; very bad street, nothing close by and dangerous, rooms are so simple, internet doesn't reach entire room, bathroom has no hot water and no shampoo or shower gel. Breakfast option is terrible. Only good thing is coffee. There is nice swimming pool and staff is really nice and helpfull.

Nice simple room! Comfortable bed and good hot water in the morning! Breakfast was delicious! But best of all was the service, the staff was super helpful and friendly!

Like the other reviews say, this is not the best location. The first room i was given smelled like mildew and the tv only had basic cable in spanish. I asked to change rooms because of the smell and they obliged. The second room smelled fine and had a better TV with netflix and youtube.

Good and safe location

Nice big hotel with lots of small street shops and markets around the hotel that the locals shop at. Big breakfast. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, air condition, pool, restaurant and car parking. Staff are friendly. But it’s not a place you should walk around a night.

So the hotel staff were very lovely as were the cleaners. My bad review is for the restaurant. We ate the pasta for a few days just trying to eat basic foods. The first day we were sick and we thought we had ate something bad previously. On our 4th day I ordered the pasta and the bread was covered in black mould. I have now had black mould symptoms for 6 days and it just won’t stop. I alerted the restaurant staff and they didn’t even apologise, they said nothing. At one point during our stay there was a dead rat on the floor outside the restaurant that the staff walked right past. This was the most expensive place we have stayed at for our 5 month trip in central and South America. The sickness has not gone away. The breakfast is very very unfortunate, it made me Ill just to look at. Two types of fruit, scrambled eggs and yams 4 ways. I still think about it and cringe. Always check your food even if it’s toasted and you’re really hungry.

Nice rooms, excellent service, the location is not very good (many homeless people and streets are horrible, however you can find informal commerce at very cheap prices) but you can easily get to touristic locations from the place, public transportation is also good. Unfortunately, some of our belongings were stolen ironically not outside the hotel but in the hotel room. We called the front desk but neither the manager nor the receptionist did nothing to help us. They could’ve checked security cameras or inquire with the cleaning personnel but they just did nothing.
