The management didn't seem to care that we had bedbugs. When I mentioned them, they didn't even offer to pay for my things to be cleaned. That aside, the room was fine. The window in the bathroom doesn't close so be sure to close the door to get your AC to work. They are just a short walk from restaurants and have a cute hotel. It's old but I kind of liked that. The bed itself was a little uncomfortable, but maybe they'll change the mattress out (probably not).

Good hotel with great service. It is a a 3 star but food was good. Came here for an event and it was okay. They have a couple of nice Arabic salons that are great for theme parties.

The rooms are very comfortable and pretty. The hotel it has a historical architecture. The pool and outdoor bar are really nice. Good value for the money. The food in my case have an issue with a meat.

Service persons at front desk and restaurant excellent. However, when I checked in on Dec 8 I explained I would be on extended stay for possibly 6 to 8 weeks due to unknown completion date of our apartment remodel. We agreed upon a price of 184,000 COP nightly. On Fri evening, 10 Jan, my wife was told by front desk that we would have to pay 325,000COP nightly starting Mon 13 Jan. Sat AM I asked about this to the front desk and was told that the new rate would be effective Wed 15 Jan. We made plans to move to our unfinished apartment on 15 Jan. Even though we would not have furniture or use of the kitchen by then. On Mon 13 Jan we were told the new rate would now be effective on Tue 14 Jan. After much pleading they relented and told us Wed 15 Jan if we promised to vacate on Wed morning. I have never felt so unwelcomed in my 70 yrs which includes a 25 yr military career and 20 yrs in private enterprise traveling throughout the world. I can only attribute this treatment to the fact we made one complaint about the maid staff stealing money from our room. The maid did however explain that on the three occasions she took money she thought they were tips and offered to repay the money.

Due to a family emergency(grandmother passed away)my sister and I flew last minute to Colombia along with our one-year-old niece. Although we have family living in Barranquilla we decided to stay at the Hotel Majestic in order to be more comfortable during our stay.We had several family members fly from New York and stay at the hotel as well. They were very accommodating in placing us all on the same floor. On September 13, my sister and I arrived at Majestic Hotel past midnight and the front desk clerk was more than helpful and accommodating and explaining their discount for visitors with proper IDs. From the minute we stepped in we knew we had made the right decision. Thank you Hotel Majestic for a great stay on a last minute trip! Pros. -Great and affordable rate (5 nights for about $230 dollars) -Convenient area. ( El Portal Del Prado) 5 minute walk -Great staff and customer service (Extremely helpful in helping us bring up and down our niece's stroller and shopping bags throughout our stay) -Free breakfast every morning until 10am ( great egg omelette, typical arepita) -Great maintenance staff ( our bathroom lightbulb burned out on our 2nd day and maintenance took care of it immediately) -Excellent housekeeping ( Room was cleaned and tidy everyday after stepping out past noon) -Transportation nearby (24 hours taxi dispatcher on the very corner) (Buses available to Puerto Colombia and many others about three blocks away) -Air Conditioner is pretty good. (Loved it!) - LED Television. (Variety of channels) -Free Wifi Cons -No Microwave. -Pool. (Needs more maintenance, a bit moldy in some areas) - No elevator. (Although it's a 2 floor hotel)

The constant horns from cars outside and bad internet ruined much of the stay. They get one extra star because i got upgraded free of charge👌

Rooms average but the french architecture of the restaurant and arab common areas are very beautiful. This place is declared architectural heritage of barranquilla.

Antiquated room for me and my son, with no refrigerator or microwave or amenities like shampoo or even cups to rinse after brushing teeth. But the room was huge, with two sleeping areas and a dining area. The AC worked great and the hotel itself was gorgeous, with tiled floors and sitting areas throughout. And very inexpensive!
