    I will start with the good things about the hotel... - The pool and terrace are pretty cool and there is a nice view of Barranquilla - The staff was generally friendly - Hotel rooms weren't too bad (beds were alright and more or less clean) - The restaurant food quality was VERY good (the head chef deserves more recognition) That said, there are a lot of things this hotel can do to provide better service because based on my stay it's definitely not a 5 star experience as of now. Here are my suggestions: 1. Stop inconveniencing your guests The main thing that turned me off and will prevent me from staying at the Movich again is how willing and comfortable the staff and management are with inconveniencing their guests. In my opinion, the obligation of the hotel should be to make their guests feel as welcome and appreciated as possible. Multiple times I was asked to leave cash tips, asked to leave the terrace/pool for private events, asked to pay extra to use the amenities that I had already paid for by being a guest of the hotel. To me, this is the biggest sign that management really does not care about their guests. 2. Hire more staff I was never able to get more fresh towels the entire weekend as there appeared to be a shortage. Long wait times for check-in and check-out, dirty tables in the restaurant, the servers have to attend to too many people (not their faults). There were empty beer bottles on my floor all day from a party the night before. Lots of stuff that needs to be addressed here. The overall experience was not terrible, but there are much better options like the Four Points Sheraton for roughly the same price. I honestly think that with a few adjustments this hotel could be quite nice actually. But it will definitely require more attention to hiring and a slight culture shift from management to get there.

    Not my first time here at this hotel but I keep getting rooms with issues, this time was a strong humidity issue inside, and the water from the shower running through the whole bath very uncomfortable specially when I planned my vacation for a premier suite and they tried to replace it with a downgraded smaller room to the rate I paid. Service is the best but this is normal everywhere in colombia. This was my 4th time here but my last one. Apologies at the end of the stay are not enough for the uncomfortable stay.

    ONE STAR HOTEL. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Rude front desk, especially OMAR. Cold room.service, no one responds to issues. Staff harasses you throughout your stay. This is the worse hotel experience in my 30+ years of corporate travel. DO NOT STAY HERE.

    Loved this place. Absolutely friendly and professional staff, from the front desk to the waitstaff to housekeeping. Enjoyed the food and the cocktails. Cons: rooms and hallway was very damp and humid and musty. Had to keep the air conditioning running cold just to keep the musty smell to a minimum. Rooms could use a more thorough cleaning in between guests.

    Hotel is full of mold and very smelly. In the Lobby and hotel bar were hookers everywhere. Don’t go here unless you want to get hooked up and get a breeze of mold smell

    DO NOT STAY HERE. In my stay the receptionist gave my key to two different guest. the first time I got off my bed so fast I ended up hurting my self. I did let them know immediately but no answer from manger till I went to the front desk to ask for maanger. I was then told they could compensate with a dinner🤦‍♀️. The second time my key was given out they never called me to apologize. They just look at me and try to ignore me. The bathroom smells like urine. I asked to use bleach but nothing. The halls smell like fungus. Also let them know they did not care. The bathroom has holes on the walls and all around water damage. The only good part about hotel was the staff at the restaurant.. THEY ARE AMAZING

    This hotel has dropped significantly from the last time I was here. The rooms smell musty and have mold due to very poor ventilation. And the service, absolutely awful. At check in the attendant threatened to charge me because my passport stamp wasn't checked for "tourist". Then he said I wasn't entitled to use the pool or gym, then backed off. And then when I got a beer at the pool, they refused to let me charge it to my room and the attendant literally followed me to my room to make sure I paid. Almost everything was awful. Not going to return anytime soon.

    Hi! I was at this hotel two yrs ago and I totally forgot to write a review but like my husband says, you never forget how people treat you. The photos can mislead you, we were assigned a room where it was so much humidity! I could not rest well. We asked front desk to relocate us and I remember how the receptionist spoke so nice and stated "oh no! we will give you one of our better rooms". Well, full of lies, the room was horrible, worst than the first one, so humid, damp room than even our clothes got so wet! We request maintenance to come and they put a small humidifier that did noting! We were so tired and ready to return to our home that we did not bother to ask again :(. Breakfast was ok, service by the restaurant was really good. If the staff and management think they can get away with these things they need to learn that they are not only loosing customers but future potential customers too! I do not recommend the hotel, I remember they had an event that weekend and had artists there so probably they gave the good rooms to them (if they have them). I also remember seeing many nurses around and I found out that many people go get plastic surgeries stays at this hotel. Well, go at your own risk, I am a native from this city but was left with a negative taste of this place

    My stay at this hotel was not pleasant. When you walk in the hotel there’s a lot of people in front doesn’t look like a Hotel entrance. Rooms and hallways smell like humidity and very chalky feels disgusting. Breakfast was good. wouldn't stay here again.

    Located in the Riomar area of BAQ. This was my third favorite area after Alto Prada and Buena Vista. It's the in-between area of the two but there's not much to do around the immediate hotel like the other two areas. You're close walking distance to the 2 biggest malls, Buena Vista and Viva. Mall rats rejoice! The hotel nice was very nice with that new car smell. Rooms were well equipped and there's a nice pool area with bar, massage small and small gym. The lobby is big and a good place to mingle with other travelers. OVERALL: 4.3 Rooms: 4.5 Amenties: 4.2 Service: 4.5 Location: 3.9 Breakfast: 4.2

    One of the most horrific hotel experiences we have ever had. The hotel didn't even deserve a star for the service. As a foreign guest you have the feeling that you are not welcome! The hospitality is absolutely bad. The rooms are fine. The breakfast buffet doesn't deserve a star! At lunch we had to wait over 60 minutes for the meal after placing the order. If. you don’t tip, we’ve even pointed it out to you via a Google translator. Horror!!! The staff is completely uncoordinated and haphazard. we cannot understand how other guests could give 4 or more stars. We will never again set foot in hotels of this group. Terrible!!!!

    Wonderful checkpoint in the corner of a busy street. High visibility all over, and great indoors style. Has a business complex within it, with a faulty elevator that will probably scare you!

    The hotel looks good, but the service is poor, the gym is awful , no water, no towels , the equipment is old, torn and damaged. The hotel is renewing carpets in the middle of the day, so you have to breathe carpet glue while you are in the lobby. Reception desk can take up to 20 minutes to answer calls.

    I've been here at the hotel for about 7 days now. I'll be here for another 7 and looking forward. While in the lobby at about 3am, catching up in my journal, Eric from the restaurant staff, approached me and handed me a coffee for nopurpose. Just pure kindness. That's the kind of place this is. THANK YOU ERIC!

    Decent place. Great design. I order direct from their website they offer different type of rooms with fancy name but not fancy room. In my opinion is a regular room or master suites. Anything between you pay more and not getting much more. Great customer service

    Hotel is close to a shopping center, restaurants and more all walking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food is good especially breakfast. The pool is a must. The hotel rooms are dark colors and the one thing I noticed is the air conditioner was shut off for an hour or 2 early morning everyday because I would wake up hot. My windows were so dirty I couldn't see out of the window at the view.

    Good and not so goodGood was the buffet and the willingness to fulfill special orders . Laundry service was amazing and quick …Room was basically clean but had no towels . The few issues we had were corrected fairly quickly …. Tv not working , shower leaking and no towels … Towels seem to be a commodity at this hotel that’s hard to come by , even poolside …..Our room keys were a MAJOR issue every other day to everyday sometimes … We were inconvenienced by having to re-key them and then had trouble getting into the elevator because of this … We were asked over and over again not to put them near our phone or other credit cards ..We never did … I travel over 50K miles a year on business …. I know this procedure ….
