Great hotel, rooms very nice, food very good, plus good view of the Magdalena river. The only bad thing about place I saw was that my wife’s phone was stolen briefly from the breakfast room. We complained to employees up front to look at the security footage. They were slow to respond to this. Only reason she got phone back was guy who had it decided to return it. Poor reception to a bad situation on the front desk employees part. Other than that it’s a nice hotel.

Very disappointed we came to do our check in the front desk Maria told us she will not do our check in unless I provide her with my 2 kids pasaporte I explain to her my documents were in my luggage and she didn’t care I told her I don’t feel comfortable opening my luggage in the lobby and she don’t care. I told her I will cancel my reservation she also said it was fine. We end up opening all our luggage in the lobby and when we finally got to the room the A/C was off and the room extremely hot. No Customer service at all. Not a good place for family’s with kids.

The hotel is located close to Buenavista Malls, Mall Plaza, Plaza del Parque (good area for shopping and restaurants) and next to Pricesmart. The premises were clean and well decorated. Comfortable beds and great pillows. They have really good WiFi. The infinity pool has a great view and the breakfast buffet was really good. However, staff wasn’t very friendly. Front desk, has to improve; the staff doesn't smile.

I must start by saying, that few words can describe how I feel about the team at this hotel. While running near the hotel on a very hot day, a dog started following me and clearly needed water. I popped in to ask the hotel staff for a small dish and water - and shared that it was for a local dog. They immediately gave me what I asked for. Barranquilla is a city and Colombia a country, where dogs are not always treated with empathy; but I found this simple act of kindness by the staff, and a willingness to care for their community (even the dogs who are on hard times) a genuine expression of their character and humanity, a reflection of how they care for the city they are a part of. One of the greatest things that businesses can do is to be a part of the community - and the community in turn should ensure their success. Holiday Inn Express took that approach today, and I think it was brilliant. It’s an easy decision where I’ll stay when I am back!

We stayed there for a couple of nights, and everything was excellent. Clean, great service, and the food is really good. Recommended if visiting Barranquilla.

This is an American style fusion with Colombian tradition. Facilities will appeal to most. The staff is very courteous and friendly, but most aren't very good English speakers even at the front desk. The restaurant is US priced, but carries mostly Colombian dishes. This is a reasonably priced hotel by US standards.l, bridging the gap between 4 star international hotels and local b&b style temporary residences.

Ridiculously bad service. I was there for a week and they kept insisting they couldn’t move me to a quieter room due to being “fully booked” even though tens of people checked in almost every day. Rooms are clean and well kept but they are very warm at times and insanely humid. Clothes smelled musty after a few days. Front desk seems uninterested in creating pleasant experiences. Nice pool. Amazing breakfast. Just a management style that doesn’t pay attention to the human side of the equation.

Overall a nice hotel. Only negative thing to say is that they have an additional fee that they charge when you arrive. Kind of a hidden fee that they should make move known to people looking to book. But outside of that, clean hotel, hot water, good breakfast, kind staff and a great view.

So far, it has been an excellent service. The pool at the 18th floor is spectacular, I know it will be better at night.
