I finally got to try the famous Colombian mote de queso (cheese soup, but mostly made with yams). Absolutely delicious. I can't wait to try the other soups like guandul (a hearty soup made with beans). Highly recommended.

Busy. Popular. Vendors outside sell almost perfect avocados, which you can take inside to accompany your meal. "Fall off the bone" tender meats. The soups are are not served ridiculously hot, because the place is not air conditioned. So in the daytime, prepare yourself for significant ambient temperatures despite the multitude of fans. They will provide you with a metal mini bucket of ice for your large prechilled drinks to combat the heat. The meat proportion in very high and the provisions are cooked thoroughly but "al dente" with the exception of the cassava, which is cooked to disintegrating in the soups. GREAT PRICES. More table staff required for busy periods. Patrons are very tolerant of the crowding and convivial about it. I will redo there anytime.
