Disappointing Experience at Six Senses Fiji – Not What You Expect from a Luxury Resort We stayed at Six Senses Fiji shortly after its re-opening in March 2025 and, unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations—especially for a resort in this price and brand category. Despite some genuinely kind and attentive staff members, the overall condition of the villas was unacceptable. We moved three times during our stay due to poor maintenance and unresolved issues, including: A private pool that was dangerously underfilled, which could have seriously injured our child had we not caught him in time. Even more alarming: 6 cm screws and construction debris were left inside the pool after it was refilled (see attached photo). Dirty mattress, unusable sofa bed, and shower heads covered in grime and corrosion, despite the resort just reopening from renovations. Broken plumbing, weak air conditioning, and a general feeling that the villas were not guest-ready. We raised these issues immediately and repeatedly, but the resort’s management seemed more focused on explaining themselves than actually resolving the problems. No meaningful follow-up was made by the GM beyond a brief conversation. We expected Six Senses-level quality, but what we found was a resort not ready to host guests. Sadly, no one from corporate has responded to our formal feedback either. I truly hope Six Senses takes guest safety and standards more seriously moving forward.
