Booked this hotel primarily for the spa. Checked in at noon, just to find out the spa wasn't available for our rooms until 6pm. The "hot tub" wasn't hot, and only 6 people in the area allowed (often people sitting by the tub, not in it - supposed to be 15 min limit, but no clocks and no enforcement). The water features in the pool came on randomly, or not at all. The only great thing about the spa was Ellie at the desk. Very friendly and helpful. Getting to the spa late lead to a late dinner. Went to the hotel restraurant and was told we needed to go on our phones to make a reservation, even though there were plenty of open tables, just to find out none were available.

Genting Hotel is located within a complex of stores and restaurants that is entertaining in and of itself. It's located on a lake that you can walk around for exercise. Close to Birmingham Center, it also can be a launching point for historical points of interest to the north and east in particular. We expected the hotel to be a bit noisy and were pleasantly surprised that it was incredibly quiet and peaceful in our room. The bed was extremely comfortable, with non-feathered pillows and comforter (love those, as we are allergic to down). Everything was modern and spotless. Breakfast is served on a lovely rooftop terrace managed by an highly professional staff. Not only was there a huge buffet of hot and cold items, but also you could order off of a menu. All the staff are to be commended - they spend all the time they need to in order to ensure your comfort, from reception (thank you, Lily!) to servicing the room to dining. We felt right at home thanks to the staff. This was an excellent experience for us (two days and nights) and we would seek out this hotel if we were anywhere nearby again. Highly recommend.

Great hotel and very friendly staff.. I booked hoping to use the pool and fitness facilities, however due to standing on my feet all day at the furniture show it was back to the room and ordered room service.. would highly recommend..

Well done The Genting. I stayed with work this week and would definitely stay again for work or family. The team are just smiley and helpful, it gives a nice positive vibe about the place. Denise (I believe the manager on breakfast) was super helpful in finding a quiet space for an early morning meeting. Rooms much bigger than the average, very clean, modern and stuff just worked really, location excellent, lots to do, parking easy plus bigger than average spaces! Well done

Beautiful hotel! One of my favourite hotels to visit the staff are lovely and it has lots of fun things to do in the main resorts world as well as luxury amenities such as spa treatment, which I enjoy! The building is also very pretty to look at which is a bonus on the architecture. Lots of places to eat. The room service is good and the sky by the water restaurant and bar is a great place to eat too. Rooms are big, nice and spacious The only problem is you may have a limited view with certain rooms. Very luxurious hotel with a beautiful design. Reasonably quiet as well. Found the air conditioning to be a little weak on how cold it gets the room but that's just a minor nitpick. Overall one of my favourite hotels to stay at

I got checked in by Amelia, she was very pleasant and helped with an questions I had. The room was nicely presented, bathroom was lovely. I paid extra for the signature package and the hotel made the room look lovely! The room comes with your basic iron, ironing board etc. Spa was really nice, wasn't to busy so could try all facilities. We paid extra for breakfast, It was okay it wasn't the best, due to the staff being very busy with guests from the hotel it was like you was waiting around for staff to ask what drink you wanted or food etc. Beds were comfortable and rooms are very quiet. For £160 a night, the room didn't come with bathrobes or slippers. For the price of the hotel and how higher the hotel is from your average 'premier inn' etc I would of thought these would come included with all rooms but doesn't with the signature rooms. Bathrobes are £15 per person!! I would of thought due to having a spa the bathrobes would of came with?? Also. didn't have a pleasant view from the room, we had the back of the hotel so could see a overgrown roof and the traffic on the right hand side. Breakfast wasn't the best. was waiting around for some time for someone to ask what hot drinks we wanted, coffee was very weak and unenjoyable. Juices kept going down very quickly so more waiting for someone to refill.

Amazing the staff are very nice they went above and beyond to make her stay comfortable I wanted to hug them. The spa was amazing loved it want more I recommend going to the Jacuzzi and trying out the sauna best part of the spa. Also the sky bar was lovely the dinner was very Michelin style and the cocktails were exotic.

I had the best stay and birthday at Genting hotel, the hospitality we received was outstanding by the whole team. Everyone was very welcoming, super attentive and tended to all our needs especially Millie and saffron at all times! They made my birthday very memorable, which was highly appreciated by us and I most definitely will be returning on more than one occasion. Ami & Hawa

In summary, I would say Genting Hotel wants to be a luxury destination but it really is not. Their customer service needs a lot of work. Staff are very friendly and apologetic but that does not make up for not dealing with issues that are raised. Just spent a really disappointing weekend at Genting. We went in a large group to celebrate a birthday, first issue - we upgraded to the Genting Suite ahead of arrival but upon arrival were told the room was not available. The reception manager (Lily) apologised and assured us she would look into it and get back to us - she didn't. When we followed it up, she had left for the evening. The rooms are basic. We went for the superior room, but apart from the mini bar and use of the robes the room is identical to the Signature Double, so hardly worth the extra money. There were not enough spa treatment slots available for the group, this was compounded by one of the therapists being sick (these things happen which is totally understandable but still disappointing). The spa is generally ok, no complaints - not the best or worst I have been to. We booked The Sky Bar, for our group dinner/birthday celebrations on Saturday night. They could only accommodate our group at 9pm, when we arrived we were hurried along as the kitchen was closing at 10pm. The starters were all fine, mixed reviews on how much people enjoyed them but generally no problems. The mains followed very quickly - this was were the issues were revealed. The plates had definitely been sitting for some time. Those who had the sea bass were served soggy noodle mush. The salmon was burnt to within an inch of it's life - chef claimed it was a glaze :( Rice was dry and rubbery. Chargrilled chicken was just charred. We complained to the manager at the time, she was very apologetic but then disappeared - a different manager came over and said the first lady had left (are you noticing a theme?). We found this incredibly unprofessional as we had to explain again all of the issues. The second manager was apologetic and agreed that some of the dishes should never have left the kitchen. We managed to resolve the issues by removing the dishes from the bill, however this really ruined the atmosphere for the birthday celebrations. I will not be returning to Genting Hotel.

It was ok. The room was a bit over priced but nice enough. Starting to look a bit tired and was small. Nice that you had the option of a bath or shower. Coffee making facility rather then sachets. Didn’t get a chance to use the gym/pool but the misses did and says it was good. Few restaurants to choose from and have drinks. Obviously got the casino as well.

Rooms are always clean and well presented and there are so many different options to choose from. Never had a bad experience when checking in or throughout our stays. Parking is chargeable, however if you choose a Superior room, underground parking is available as part of your stay. Only had Breakfast once as part of the package. Plenty of tables and servers and the food was excellent. Shame they do not reward their returning customers with discounts on future stays.

High price and I’d expect high quality. Fairly disappointing in the view and the room, bad smell, window does not open and poor air conditioning. I could not wait to leave! I was so embarrassed for what I paid for. Luckily the restaurants there are good. Recommend Vietnam street kitchen. Arrived for check in and tried to book spa facility’s, just kept saying fully booked in the end gave up!

We frequently stay here. We absolutely love the facilities that resorts world provide and the luxury of the rooms. We usually book a superior room and enjoy the lake view. It's very pricey but definitely worth it if you want to treat yourself.

This is a lovely, modern, and clean hotel. It has lots of bars, restaurants, and casisno on the site. The Sky Bar was amazing with great food and drinks selection and a buzzing atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again

I got to experience the Genting Hotel as a birthday gift. My room was nice, I did notice that some of the information printed in the room was different from shown on TV. For example the access time of Spa. I had breakfast at the Sky bar, it was buffet style however at the table you could order. The buffet was the usual pastries, cereal, fruit, and hot and cold drinks. The other part had scrambled eggs, sausage, tomatoes, hash browns, etc. I don't eat pork. I fixed myself a plate of fruit and waited to order from the menu bc I like my eggs scrambled hard. When the waitress came to my table, I asked for scrambled eggs hard, she told me there were scrambled eggs at the buffet, I said I know, but I like my hard. She repeated her statement. I also ordered vegan sausage and oatmeal with/ oat milk. I never got the eggs, I guess she was adamant that I needed to get them from the buffet, however, the table menu states eggs any way you want, poached, fried, or scrambled. Not sure why my request was such a task. I didn't follow up because she wasn't going to put it in. The oatmeal was yummy and the fruits were delicious. The hotel spa was nice overall however, both available showers to use before entering had lots of hair on each shower floor. I'm not sure if they are checked/cleaned throughout the day, but it was off-putting. The 3rd shower was in use. Not sure what time the outdoor hot tub is uncovered, but when I went about 7:30/8 am it wasn't. The night before I wasn't ready to brave the cold air to get in but had worked up the courage to do it that morning, but couldn't. I spent quite a bit of time in the Sauna and Salt room. The temperature of the pool was perfect. There is a complimentary juice bar (hot and cold drinks) in addition to items you must purchase. One of my favs was the view from the spa and the heated tables even though all of them were that warm. The staff at reception were very nice. The staff inside the Resorts World were nice also. It's located near the train (about a 10min walk) and would come again to try the relaxation room, and hot tub, and visit the casino and other attractions within the building.

This team have restored my belief in great hospitality, Pre-arrival had read the booking notes and when I called answered the phone (unlike 2 other 5* chains I stayed at in recently) and could answer my questions. At check in were quick, efficient and gave me the information I needed. During the stay, when I wanted to extend they were super helpful and when I checked out and rebooked the great service continued. Hotel was immaculately clean throughout. Even when I missed breakfast (totally my fault) the restaurant staff fixed me a takeaway coffee and croissant. Massive thanks to the reception, cleaning and restaurant teams 23-26th November you turned a rotten week into an absolute gem.

Really lovely hotel, the rooms are big and spacious, nice big bath towels and some nice toiletries! We had the option of having a walk in shower or bath with shower which was nice to have the option. Rooms come with a coffee machine and a selection of coffees and teas. Access to the spa is certain times depending what room you choose which we wasn't aware of! So check this before booking your room! Also our room didn't come with Robes which I think would be a nice touch if you get free spa access. I believe you can purchase Robes for £15 at the spa but I think this is a bit pricey! They do supply you towels in the spa though. All in all for the price and location I would say I was highly satisfied with my stay.

Stayed 4 nights for Confuzzled - easy 10 minute walk to the Hilton around the lake. Room was great – spacious, nice bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. Lifts were a bit slow during my stay (one wasn't working and the ground floor buttons seemed to be a bit dodgy). Plenty of lunch and dinner options at the Resorts World complex but be aware breakfast options are limited at the weekend with most places only opening from 10am. The rooftop restaurant serves food early but the breakfast buffet was quite average. Hotel reception staff were very pleasant and we arranged bag drop off and collection no problem on the last day.

Had an amazing stay at Genting. Was checked in by Kurtis who was so friendly and helpful. He was very welcoming and made us look forward to our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful and a bonus is having resorts world nearby. We went shopping during the day and then went bowling with the kids in the evening. Everything was lovely and I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Had such a lovely experience!! I proposed to my girlfriend and Lauren at reception helped massively with planning it all as she was so polite and was very generous with making our stay and our special night very beautiful! The staff was all lovely! They made us feel very special, will definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend that people stay, thanks again Lauren and the team at Genting hotel, wish you all well :)

Just checked in. Staying here for a few days. Very poor customer service and communication with check-in. They had got my room wrong and checked me in to a dirty room. No offer of any apologies, when I got put in to a new room!!! Stayed here lots of times before and never no problems. Just very disappointed 😥 They not helpful and very unprofessional.

The hotel room was large and tastfully decorated. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable! My husband never manages to sleep in hotels and we only just managed to get up for breakfast! The hotel itself is very quiet and staff were fabulous. Reception staff on check in were friendly and smiling and every single member of staff who talked to us were helpful and kind. Even a guy cleaning rooms came out to help me when he could tell I was lost! We throughly enjoyed the spa and Rhea personally helped me out (above and beyond!). Great hotel and fabulous spa Definitely we will come again

The hotel was absolutely beautiful! There was a fast and easy check-in and the staff at reception were ever so kind and helpful! The rooms are on a high floor and we had a lovely view over looking the lake. The only issue is the window from the outside was extremely dirty, but I can’t complain as storm Dudley/Eunice was taking place. The room is super spacious and ever so clean! The bathroom was super clean as well with a really large walk in shower. There was a good range of drinks in the mini bar as well as snacks. My favourite thing about the hotel is that there was a special lift that went straight to the spa for hotel guests only, which was the perfect touch. As I didn’t feel too comfortable walking in the main centre in my robe. But overall I had the best stay here by far! I will definitely come back!

Every staff member was superb and made our stay just that little bit more special! It was my Dads 70th and the restaurant we booked for our meal gave him a special birthday desert. The rooms were a good size, really well designed and we had water in our mini bar, a kettle for tea with biscuits and many tea options and also an instant espresso machine. My espresso machine didn’t with at first but when I informed them I new one was brought up immediately and many apologies were made. The hotels own restaurant was wonderful again the staff were fabulous and the food was delicious. All the areas of the hotel were incredibly clean and the room service staff did a great job too. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing stay at the Genting Hotel for my partners birthday. Can’t really fault it, the service received by hotel staff was impeccable. The room was clean, modern and presented to a high standard. The bathroom was mint, super clean and the shower was amazing. The bed was so comfy. The facilities at the hotel and surrounding Resorts World were extensive, there’s so much to do. I’d highly recommend the Santai Spa to any guest stay at the Genting Hotel. I would like to say a special thank you to Ellie, her customer service was above and beyond, she really made us feel welcome. Sky by the Water is beautiful. Service was a little slow considering how quiet it was but nevertheless food and cocktails were lovely.

I'm wheelchair user and we had an accessible doubleroom. It was comfortable and very clean and the bathroom was perfect for my special needs! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the receptionists were only pretentiously friendly, but that was no problem because we only saw them at the check in and check out. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will come back!

Best hotel stay I've had for a long time. Spent a night on the Genting Suite which was spacious, comfortable and most importantly quiet. Particularly enjoyed the large bath and shower. Good views and direct lift to the spa also a bonus. Have to mention the staff who were professional, polite and go beyond what you'd expect to help. Only slight gripes were the main lifts were a bit busy (it was an event night), the breakfast buffet was cold (you can order a la carte) and had minor issues getting on and out of the VIP parking. Would recommend and stay again for a concert.

Booked the superior room, very clean and comfortable. The spa was amazing, hot and cold drinks included, again very clean. The receptionists are very welcoming and even gave us advice on where to go for the evening. Had a lovely birthday weekend.

Superb customer service by the front office staff. Particularly Jess who was extremely helpful and reassuring and totally made our stay at the hotel a wonderful experience. She listened and is very solution focused which was refreshing. I had a marvellous birthday weekend and will return. Santai Spa customer service is also remarkable - Rhea (apologies if misspelled) you made my visit extra special (I had an invigorating leg and foot massage) as it was my birthday today. Thank you. Keep up the fabulous work 👏 👏

Stayed at the hotel and had a wonderful time. Rooms are huge and top notch. Staff were absolutely fantastic, and there are 8-9 restaurants a few minutes away in the Resorts complex and the Arena is across the road. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you want luxury at a great price and will stay if I go to the Arena.

High price and I’d expect high quality. Fairly disappointing in the view and food. Luckily the restaurants there are good. Recommend Vietnam street kitchen. Please be aware it is very far from the NEC and the terminals. Expect 15mins walk to NEC and more for the airport. No shuttle bus.

Beautiful hotel, very welcoming smell upon reception, staff was very friendly and helpful. Quiet rooms, very spacious. The Spa was a very nice touch for the customers, relaxation rooms, sauna and salt room, besides a swim in the pool to then step outside on a 5th floor open top veranda with a hottub. Very happy with our stay and would very much like to return one day.

We booked a 2 night stay short break away. The hotel room we had was upgraded to a superior room due to a booking mistake with spa treatments. The room was spacious clean modern and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is within resort world Co. Plex so you have access to the Genting casino, ciniworld and a number of restaurants shops and bars all inside the complex, oh and bowling. The sky bar and restaurant and secret garden bar both on the top floor are lovely although service was a little slow on the night we ate and drank cocktails but it was still good. The hotel spa has a fitness centre, swimming pool, sauna and steam room (not great as not a lot of steam) which was all as it should be. All in all we had a great time and would recommend

Great stay at the Genting. I was lucky enough to pick a night where the hotel and indeed the whole shopping complex was very quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Liked the big bath sheets, so much nicer than having to wrap 2 separate towels around yourself like at some hotels. Bed very comfortable and shower water pressure good. Alcoholic drinks were fairly priced and the breakfast was very good. I had a massage in the morning which was very good also. Only negative is that the TV was only standard freeview TV channels no option to buy a movie or log in to my Netflix.

This hotel used to be one of my favourite places to stay we have celebrated many event such as birthdays by staying there and have gone to just relax for the night. However after my most recent experience I would never stay there again. Upon arrival at the hotel we asked how the spa worked, knowing it was subject to availability and reception informed us that we should just go down at 6. However when we went to the spa 6, we were told there was already a waiting list as people had been ring though earlier, as the spa had asked reception to tell the guest to ring through. After comping to reception about this we were let into the spa but the experience was ruined. We were checked into a room with an adjoining door which was not sound proof, meaning we could hear the people next door at 12am, 2am and 7am as well as the questionable tv choices. When we reported this to reception they rang the room which just restored in us having to listen to their phone ring while we waited for them to finish. I have written to the genting hotel to complain however they just thanked me for the feedback and stated way this was perfectly justifiable.

Wish I had stayed here for crufts! Booked the hotel as it’s across from the arena my daughter and I were watching a concert at. I’d previously stayed at Moxy for crufts and paid a lot more for far less! It’s a beautiful hotel, great views from the sky bar. Breakfast was spot on, you had a menu or Buffett style of pretty much anything you wanted. The room was on the 3rd floor facing the lake. Bed was comfy and thankfully peaceful. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and helpful, everyone said hello as you passed. I stay at a lot of hotels across the county and the world, this one’s standard is high for a 4 star, I was pleasantly surprised. Booked vip underground parking - £15, worth every penny. Our room was a standard double and twice the size as a room at the moxy, we had paid double the cost for at crufts. Everything was perfect and will definitely return here every time we have an event at the nec. Faultless stay!

The customer service was terrible, very rude stuff. The spa use time was very limited despite us staying at the hotel. You have to pay for dressing gown. Any requests took forever to be attended to. it's very far from the city centre. I would only recommend this for couples and maybe family if you don’t plan ok doing things outside or partying, it’s located in a mall that has so many restaurants and cinema etc which would be good for kids.

Booked a room here on short notice for a Fri-Sat stay. I can confirm that my experience at this hotel completely exceeded my expectations and believe me that is rare! The superior room was a delight with a fully stocked mini bar and comfortable bed. The spa access completely justifies the price of the room - honestly it is the icing on the cake. Overall the staff are polite and welcoming and there’s just so much to do in the area that one night may not be enough! Highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely be looking to stay here again!
