Having worked in the hospital from 2009-2017, I can bodly say it's one of the best places you can work. I started from the post room, all the way to the waste department and eventually to the portering service. It was all an exceptional experience for me. I dream of my sojourn in the place every now and then. I can refer to Churchill as the best place to work.

Been under the care of the Churchill since I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. My care pathway has been fantastic. All the staff that I have had any dealings with, questions for and need of help have given their time and compassion. I was serving overseas with the Army when diagnosed and was offered the option to transfer to another trust in the North of England as it was closer to my home base in 2020. I had no hesitation in remaining with the Churchill.

My husband is now 2 years on from the start of his treatment for prostate cancer, in the middle of the pandemic. He is well, thanks to the superb care he received, from the nurses to the consultants, at a time when social distancing was in place and things were so much harder. We both cannot thank the Churchill Hospital enough, for everything.

Daughter, 16, has parosmia. A condition whereby the person’s sense of smell is altered. This was a long term effect of Covid19. She has not eaten meat for 6 months. She is not a vegetarian nor vegan and is losing weight. We have been waiting for our GP referral for 3 months. This hospital do not care for children. This hospital clearly need to update their file system.

Went for gallbladder surgery today. It was very busy as they try to catch up on the backlog. Everything was well organised and all the staff were kind and caring. Thank you to you all, we are so lucky to have this amazing service.

had a telephone pre procedure call 10 days before appointment, was informed a home negative covid test is no longer required , due to the tests no longer being free to non nhs staff. so on the day of the procedure I attended may appointment with no test. I was refused my appointment on the grounds of not supplying a negative test. I had taken to day off work, had to take a taxi to and from the appointment costing Β£60 as they say no driving after. but I'm not surprised I have been waiting over 2 years for treatment, they are very unorganized.

I went to the Sexual Health Clinic for my IUD fitting and the team was amazing. Dr Caroline was great and went through everything with me since it was my very first time having it done. The was an unexpected situation and the fitting had to be postponed to another day and I could find an appointment for 2 days later and Dr Kennedy and Dr Caroline were just amazing together with the nurse that I unfortunately forgot the name. It took an hour for them to see me, what made me very anxious, but the support during and fate the procedure was done, was just great. Thanks for the Sexual Health team.

My brother told he was fit to fly..2 weeks into making memories in Singapore and he has a seizure. Singapore hospital found the tumour was pressing on his brain, and had pushed it by 1cm. Singapore hospital requested hospital records by email...no contact.. 3 days later still no contact , when I finally had to chase them from England as no one doing anything..they told me consultant was on holiday and his secretary sick...I asked if they were joking.. I was told by a member of out of hours...he's not gonna die he's in hospital!!! Then another quote ..Well he got there alright...he did because he trusted a consultant..Singapore hospital disgusted at the service ...and me...upset about the remarks made to me..bad bad ...luckily his insurance covered medical repatriation in a medic air plane...he's not home yet.. but thanks Churchill for your help..not!.

This is the worst hospital I’ve ever seen till today, my dad had an appointment at 10:50 in this hospital on today’s date that is 28/09/2023 we waited more than an hour so i asked at reception, told me that she will have a look ok we still waited, it was nearly 1 pm afternoon, and still nobody called us I was so angry at that moment coz I have more things to do and it was too late, so we left the hospital without the check up & we left around 12:40 there is a reason for doing this well I see & I feel that it’s a 100 % careless. So now I have a question for this genius people. 1. So if there was no doctor in the hospital why did you genius people call us for appointment ? 2. They knew there was no doctor in the hospital so, why didn’t they inform at the beginning, why did they make us wait so long, for what reason ? And I really need an explanation. Really need.

Absolutley dreadful Arrived 10 mins early for appointment was seen late as presumed which is normal but then told to wait a further 1hr 30 mins Which was actually 2 and a half hours Lights were turned off while we were still waiting in the building reception staff left the building before we were seen? Unprofessional simply lost for words And these are the people who want a 90% pay rise? ... hmm...

  • 3/5 Yanko 1 year ago on Google
NHS now is just trying to spare money, with long COVID , they cancelled 2 times the appointment and attend me after 1 year, Now NHS if you suffer a lot of pain , before was paracetamol, now they say to do mindfulness. They will be attending you if they see blood or are you almost dead. Have the last technology but can't do a good diagnosis because only use this technology as a last option. That is NHS after Brexit.

I had a kidney transplant here about five weeks ago. I cannot fault the hospital, it is clean, pleasant hospital, the food is good (especially the puddings). The staff are great, one nurse for every two beds (very different to my last transplant in Manchester). I was out in five days (compaired to eighteen at Manchester). My wound is tiny compaired to my first transplant, the surgeons did a great job and my recovery has been swift. I count myself lucky I had my transplant here (it's not my transplant centre) but a lucky quirke of fate.

My wife is currently recovering from a kidney transplant. Thankfully the surgery team and ICU team have been amazing. However, the level of care on the transplant ward is of a very poor quality. How can you not notice over a 8 hour period that the kidney drains aren’t doing anything as the medical team haven’t unclamped the tubes ? And then blame the patient for not noticing ? the list goes on from hearing staff swearing and complaining about each other β€” come on you should be doing way better than this.
