I
support
small
businesses
so
I
don't
enjoy
highlighting
this.
I
agree
that
the
service
is
friendly
and
competitively
priced
but
another
problem
has
just
come
to
light.
My
£300
Georgio
Armani
watch
last
had
it's
battery
changed
at
the
Gem
Box,
due
to
battery
now
being
exhausted
I
decided
to
change
it
myself.
I
found
one
of
the
four
crosshead
screws
securing
the
back
was
stripped.
The
O
ring
providing
the
50m
depth
waterproofing
was
just
screwed
up
inside,
not
sitting
in
its
channel.
There
was
a
lot
of
dirt
inside
the
case
due
to
the
misplaced
seal
.
About
a
year
ago
Gem
box
sized
a
silver
ring
for
me.
It
came
back
with
a
planished
beaten
finish
(it
used
to
be
smooth)
and
the
black
oxidising
that
highlighted
the
design
had
all
gone
with
no
prior
warning
that
this
would
happen.
They
simply
farm
this
work
out
to
the
Jewellery
Qtr
I
would
guess.
And
lastly,
a
couple
of
years
ago
my
wife
brought
her
£350
+
Raymond
Weil
watch
in
for
a
battery,
a
subsequent
change
by
a
watchmaker
revealed
a
broken
contact
and
damaged
movement.
We
should
have
challenged
these
things
at
the
time
but
that's
British
reserve.
I
would
not
use
the
Gem
Box
for
any
watch
or
jewellery
repairs
in
future.
I'm
sorry
Gem
box
but
you
need
to
inspect
this
run
of
the
mill
work
far
more
carefully.
If
you
open
up
a
watch
and
find
damage,
you
must
flag
it
there
and
then
or
be
responsible
for
it.
