One of the biggest & most surprising discoveries of Split: amazing food and service. Try EVERYTHING if you can. Or ask the waiter (who speakers several languages and has the best attitude) and trust his recommendations. It is strange to find a place with such good food as well as dessert. They usually have great main dishes and Gail with the dessert. Not Barakokula. Congrats to the chef!! Update: we went back (irresistible!) and tried the burger, the gnocchi and the burrata. All really good!! 10/10! But the main prize 🏆 goes to the ice cream. Wow! Thanks Julio for that treat.

What a gem! We stumbled upon this place by accident walking around old town and were extremely happy to see a new plant based place in Split! The food is amazing, we had tacos and sushi for mains. Sushi had a very unique taste, we’ve never tried anything like this. For appetizers we took a soup and the Texas caviar salad, which were also great. The service and atmosphere are on point, we’ll definitely be back again to try the desserts, they sound delightful 😊

Went here several times and the food was great. Especially the „fish“ dish was 10/10. The tofu tasted amazing, just like fish and incorporated the local classic Swiss chard with potatoes. One of the most creative and tastiest vegan dishes I’ve ever had. Same goes for the Burrata. Also the waiters are very kind. P.S.: Please keep those two dishes on the menu next year! :)

Lovely 100% vegan restaurant!! Most delicious food I've had in Split so far! And the first time in my 7 years of veganism I've had a good "cheese" board😍 Pros: Really really tasty food, Plenty of different options, and the staff are super friendly!🌞 Cons: The waiting time was quite long and they forgot to give us a menu card when we were seated... Their virgin mojito tastes like mouthwash, do not reccomend that one🙃 They say they change their menu cards quite frequently, so "it doesn't get boring" so don't expect to find the same things on the menu, that's on the Google reviews✌️ Overall great experience, would recommend!

This place is amazing: I would give 6 stars if I could. All vegan / plant based options in the center of Split. Very nicely presented and super tasty. We have been there 3 times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we're never disappointed.

One of the handful places that offer vegan options in Split. Highly recommend the Sexy Tofu and Ave Ceaser. Went there 2 nights in a row as it was close to all the sights within the old city. The vibe can be attributed to a couple of cocktail bars right opposite this place. Visit for lunch if you want to eat in peace (minus the music)

I highly recommend the Yin Yang Sweet Potato. The gnocchi with truffles and mushrooms was a bit bland, would have loved some more sauce on it. The burger was a bit dry as well. The waiter was friendly but kept forgetting some items or to bring menus or to come ask what we wanted to order. The place itself would also need some ventilators to stir the still air around or at least blow the constant cigarette smoke away from the tables.

I was dragged here by my two vegan friends. I had my doubts but was very surprised. The tofu was very tasty, I had a bite of the burger, very good. The risotto I was told could have been better but I liked it. The starters were tasty but I could have done without them. Overall a very good vegan experience. The service was friendly. The passage where the restaurant is located could be hard to find. We missed it the first time. Outside seating was enjoyable.

We came across the restaurant by chance but so happy we did. The food was amazing, especially the sushi and grilled tofu dish. Very tasty and filling. I would definitely recommend to anyone no matter of dietary requirements.

Went here with my son who is vegan and struggling to find something tasty he can eat in Split. Food here was great and I enjoyed the burger immensely. My son also asked for olive oil and bread which they don't explicitly sell and they made him some up by drizzling oil over their homemade seed bread and heating it. It was lovely. All around good experience.

Excelent vegan restaurant with really friendly staff. Definitely recomend this place. I had burger and tomato soup, both foods were delicious. My wife had vegan ceasar salad and mama Mia buratta. She is little bit picky but at this place she ate whole portion almost with plate as well.

Beautiful restaurant off the main street from the old town. Food was nice, both the truffle Gnocchi and burger were flavourful and fresh, but we both agreed that they lacked "something". It hadn't quite hit the spot, but it was still okay. Waiters were great and nice ambiance!

Nice place and pleasant food. We step for a romantic dinner and sit outside. Was funny to share space and music with bar next to it but in the end it finished great because we could join them for a rakija shot. We were interested only in vegan options which were good but not so special I was expecting. I took Tofu glazed with pure from sweet potato and it was bland and I just wished for any fresh or pickled vegetable or more taste. So I took hot sauce which helped a little bit still i was a little bit disappointed. My boyfriend took sweet potatoes with a lot of things on the top and it looked very nice and was pretty good. He had the same wish for more taste than sweet potato. I'm still amazed that in a country where there is so great, tasty and full of colour vegetables and fruits, most of places do not serve it. Small salad or salsa as an appetiser or adding would be great!

Really enjoyed our dinner at Barabokula! A lovely vegan spot in the centre of Split old town, full of character and serving delicious plant-based food. We've found it relatively hard to get good vegan food in Croatia, so this meal was amazing. Can highly recommend the Sexy Tofu in particular!

Went to this restaurant for an evening meal with friends who were vegetarian and was surprised and delighted about the quality of food served. We shared the tapas starters between us and had the Sexy Tofu and Burger and they were both delicious!! The waiters were also very lovely and patient with us, the atmosphere was very lovely with small tea candle lights. So if you're looking for Vegetarian options for food in Split I would definitely recommend.

Nettes kleines Restaurant.

Everything on the menu is plant based and they offer more than your typical vegan place that has usually salads and burgers. They make 4 different types of vegan cheese and it is truly delicious. Tomato chutney, crackers and dates filled with creamy vegan cheese come as well in the Tapas 42 starter dish. We also had the Sexy Tofu and it was very delicious. It comes with sweet potatoe puree and some greens. Their home-made lemonades were also super tasty and the staff was so friendly and helpful. It is truly a great place to visit if you like to try delicious plant-based food.

Perfection of taste. A surprise for a non-vegan person. Sexy tofu definitely recommended, as well as burata and the beetroot tartare, also very special. Every highest recommendation. 🌱

Great vegan joint. As per the waiters quote - the only bad part is the bill. Overpriced for what it is, a vegan main should sit around the $12-$15 euro mark. After all, a sweet potato and Quiona is rather cheap. Service was 10/10, lovely smiley man.

Recommend going at least once. Vegan options. You can tell thought and care good into their service and food. Enjoyed my meal over all. Taste and texture was great. Would have liked more crackers on the starter. A little on the pricy side.

Lovely! As someone who haven’t eaten fish in 25+ years it was a fun experience and so fresh (did the “fish tacos”)! Great filling food as well as cocktails + wine. Stumbled across trying to find a hidden gem for lunch, happy I did!

Amazing place if you had enough meat or fish or if you're vegetarian of course 😉 Small place, nice waiter and delicious food. Tofu is prepared in various ways and has a good bite. The tempeh and burger were also very tasty and every meal was satisfying. Usually they don't make smoothies in the evening, but we were glad they made an exception for us ☺️ The only remark I'd make is that they can put less salt on the (sweet potato) fries, but otherwise nothing to complain. All dishes were great, definitely recommendable!

This vegan restaurant is in a fantastic location in central Split. The vegan fish tacos were good but the truffle pasta was just ok. The flavor was kind of one dimensional. Maybe i had it on an off day. Still, i definitely recommend trying Barakokula. It's a good option.

A must visit for delicious plant based/vegan food in hvar! Extremely friendly service and obviously very passionate about the food that they serve. Definitely recommend the mushroom, truffle parmesan macaroni, up there with one of the best things I've ever eaten! Also great value for money, this quality of food should be way more expensive! 10/10

The burger was tasty but too tiny, while the accompanying fries were average. The 'what the health' dish was filling but not really 'special'. The chocolate dessert was outstanding. Bill was a bit too pricy (but Split is expensive). Service was nice and cordial. The menu could be more varied and exciting.

Wow what a find! Had the most delicious meal. No phish Tacos, Creme Brulee and a super yummy white wine. I only wish I'd had room for more! The staff were also exceptionally lovely. Thanks guys and compliments to the chef! 👍

Staff was friendly and nice location in a curtilage so even when stitting outside you are secluded from the busy pedestrian alleys. Food was good but not extraordinary.
