I stopped by the New Hudson Inn on the way to Detroit, and I wasn’t disappointed. The building is quite old, and that was part of my reason for stopping here, but my lunch was very good. It was basically a better version of a Big Mac, and it really hit the spot; the fries were also good. It’s a nice unpretentious place that seems to serve a pretty friendly crowd. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in the area.

This was our first time in and I must say I was left a little disappointed. Our server admitted that she was very new in fact it was her second day. She tried hard I give her that! The kitchen was running slow and by the time the food got to the table, it was warm but not hot. We place an order for an onion ring appetizer, and it came with three rings in it. We intended to share that across the table and there were only three of us so it would have been good if the server had mentioned that there were only three in the order. A tip for the future. I ordered the double bypass Burger cooked medium and I didn't see in the description that it was served on Texas toast. The slices of bread were thicker than the meat Patty which was cooked medium-well to well. Didn't seem like they flavored the beef before they cooked it so it was overcooked kind of boring beef. With the staffing challenges all restaurants face, I will give them another try because there's potential and there were lots of people there so I'm sure it's worthy of another try.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Don't know what took me so long to stop there. I'll be back.

Back in the late 1960’s-1980’s, My father & his friends used to stop in almost every Thursday after work for a beer and burger. After years & years of driving by, now we finally stopped in to eat. The servers were friendly. The other patrons were friendly too. The burger & fries was delicious! Burger stacked high, & it stayed together while you ate it. The music inside & the band in the outdoor area was great! We will be back soon!

What a great local hangout!!!! Spent the Lions game here & despite the crowd, noise, the wait staff was courteous & attentive. The kitchen pumped out food quickly. Just a fun place to gather.

Waitress had a great personality but we had a table of 6 and all of our orders had something wrong with them. But the drinks and donuts were great. Seemed very overpriced.

What a terrific find. Excellent burgers and their fries are so unique. Really enjoyed this old bar. Must be doing something right to have lasted since 1831. Will definitely be back

Great local hang out. Some may say its just bar food but the burgers are the best around. The place can get pretty busy at times but we’ve been there dozens of times and never had a problem with service. The staff hustles!!

Clearly a beloved spot for the surrounding area. The place was bouncing on Saturday night with a live band. Food was surprisingly good. Beverage selection is limited but what they do have is very well priced. Our server was extremely patient with us as newbies and gave great service. The parking lot is basically a dirt lot adjacent to the Inn. Do you really need anything more?

Top notch place. Definitely a good destination after a day out rolling around. Clean, friendly staff. All around enjoyable.

The best burger bar in the area, probably the state. Excellent portions and very good quality. It is a bit of a dive bar atmosphere but roll with it. It is a fun place to hang out. they also have outdoor seating most if not all of the year.

Great drinks, excellent fries and amazing service! Emily our server was the greatest person that waited on us, she is my new "best friend." She was the best ever, I will come back and sit at one of her tables even if she's not busy, to help her out professionally! She provided great attentive service and was very friendly and sweet, stopping to chat a couple of times when she had a minute or two. (She of course kept up on the other tables perfectly it seems!)

Great little bar. Food I ordered was so-so (could've just been the burger I ordered). Service was very good, and the atmosphere was very cozy.
