This is my hubs favorite coffee shop in Kent. We recommend the lavender latte, the triple C (coconut, Carmel, cookie), and orange lavender latte. If you aren’t doing a specialty drink, the coffee is pretty acidic so I wasn’t crazy about my vanilla americano. There are a few food choices such as tofu with noodles, bagels, cookies, cake pops, etc. If I go back I would order a specialty drink.

Love this coffee shop in downtown Kent. Plenty of parking. Not a lot of seating but the coffee is worth getting it to go. Workers are very knowledgeable about the coffee they serve. Def worth the trip!

Amazingly delicious coffee roaster in Kent with a great storefront. They make a traditional cortado at 100% and it's worth every bit of your money. Heads and shoulders above that "other" coffee roaster in town. It's not even close when it comes to quality. Give these people your money.

Cool little coffee shop and roasters. The place is tiny with very limited seating. The parking lot has a nice aroma of coffee probably because they roast in house. The staff is friendly and the service is very speedy. They offer many latte flavors and coffee types. They also sell their roasted coffee beans and plenty of merch. This is a great option for a quality coffee fix!

Best coffee in Kent, hands down! Bent Tree's coffee beans and drinks cannot be beat! They are the only coffee shop in town who makes an Americano with the proper amount of water. They also carry a large selection of organic, fair trade coffee beans. Bent Tree roasts the beans on site and they do tend to use a milder roast than a lot of businesses, so if you like dark roasted coffee just be aware it might not be as dark as you would typically encounter at other roasters.

Hands down the best “Spiced Pumpkin Latte”— not too sweet or too spiced compared to other coffee shops. They have some amazing specialty/seasonal coffees. The service is hit or miss, like others have said. I do enjoy the atmosphere, it is quiet and there is always seating.

Their lavender fog latte is amazing. I usually get them on DoorDash, and never have any issues. Their waffles are so different, and probably the best I’ve ever had. I went i a few times , and the staff is super lovely. I didn’t like their golden milk latte. The tumeric was a bit much, but that’s common with tumeric. It was also my first time trying it. The seasonal rose latte was okay, I wish it had more rose flavor. I wish they had a larger hot beverage size. Seating is very limited. If you order online ask for you hot beverage to be made extra hot that wait it’s not lukewarm/cold by the time it gets to you.

I was really impressed with the staff, and how friendly and helpful they were. I had a lot of questions about what coffee I’d want, and how to grind it. They took care of all of it! Plus, they make a really great latte too. If you’re in Kent, I’d absolutely stop by. This place is great.

My son in law, a sous chef remains impressed with the quality of your products. Thanks. He resides out of state and was thrilled to learn I'd arranged for a receipt of your product! Thank you. It was an immense pleasure to see his response repeatedly.

Some of the best coffee beans I've gotten anywhere, every time I'm in the area I stop by and get more. If you have any interest in specialty coffee, natural process or any kind of funky fermented type of coffee beans you have to check this place out. I've had 5 or 6 different roasts at this point and all of them have been spectacular.

It is always so clean and welcoming here. And the staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Himalayan salt honey latte, but everything I have ever gotten is delicious!

Bent Tree was an experience! I had an Americano, which was delicious, and my friend tried the iced honey nut Cheerios latte along with a peanut butter bagel. We were impressed by how beautiful the bagel was 🤣 Such a cute cafe overall! Can't wait to come back to enjoy the outdoor seating when the weather is nicer!

I live in Columbus but every time I visit northeast Ohio I go to Bent Tree. Their staff is such a pleasure, recently it was really busy and they brewed a fresh pot of light roast drip coffee because they were out. That was super kind of them to do. Their coffee offerings are wonderful, I try something new from their light and medium roasts on pour over every time I visit. They also have wonderful seasonal drinks. Everything is wonderful, go check them out!

Delicious dirty chai tea latte with oat milk. Super cute local coffee/tea spot. I’m happy Scribbles had a long line and I spotted Bent Tree on my drive here, so I ran over and was pleasantly surprised with the place and the drink quality. I will come back on purpose.

Bent Tree is the best coffee I've had. Consistently good, high quality beans. Staff is also top notch. Super friendly and always quick service even when it's slammed at 9:30 on a Saturday morning! I will always come back to bent Tree no matter where I live!

Really good coffee! Highly recommend the seasonal snickerdoodle latte it’s a treat! Blueberry scone was a nice addition as well. Cute atmosphere. Tables to sit at and two are by the window which is nice. Only complaint is the wifi. Went here to be productive, however the connection wasn’t great and I wasn’t able to complete my work. Wifi is secure, but consistently goes in and out. Also takes a long time for things to load. Great grab-n-go option, but recommend going somewhere else if you need to do work.

Once you start drinking good coffee... It is impossible to go back. Always great service. I've been getting my coffee beans here for years. Love it.

I don't write reviews much but I had to. Bent Tree is the best bagged store-bought coffee I've ever had. Incredible flavor! Makes great cold brew, too.

Benttree is my favorite hometown coffee shop. Super friendly staff and amazing drinks!

  • 5/5 Madison W. 1 year ago on Google
Delicious coffee, I buy both their drinks and their grounds regularly, I even ship the grounds out of state over the summer break. They have fantastic pastries like scones and coffee cakes that are always extremely high quality. If you like a sweeter coffee that doesn't just taste like sugar and still has a hint of bitterness, try the Cookies and Cream Iced Latte!

Some of the BEST drip coffee I've ever had!! Would recommend this cute little coffee shop if you are in the Kent area!

New to the area and quite happy to have found this place. Everything I have gotten has been excellent. As a rule, I never order the same thing twice at a new place, but their Brazilian cortado definitely broke that rule!

This place is awesome. They are always extremly friendly and helpful. This time I got the chocolate peacan latte and my wife got the peach oolong tea. They are pet friendly

This place! Of course the coffee is outstanding. But the staff are the icing on the cake. I was lucky to be working nearby for an extended period and got hooked on their Papua New Guinea espresso and their Chemex pour overs (anything from Ethiopia please!). I just made my first cup with the Ethiopia Sidama beans I bought in my aeropress and dang if it isn't the best cup of coffee I've made in a long time. Miss you guys and gals already!

If you want a great coffe this is the place to go the best coffee and customer service in the area. I would highly recommend trying them you won't regret it!

Best coffee roasters in town. Kent is lucky to have someone who cares this much about their beans, roasts them right, and brews them perfectly. If you love coffee, and I don't just mean sugary creamy latte type drinks, though can certainly make those drinks well, this is the place for you.

Love love love this place! I don’t get to visit often as I don’t live in the area, but every time I visit family there, I stop in to order myself and my father a special treat. Their coffee is delicious. It has such great flavor. The employees are all knowledgeable and helpful when making suggestions. Bent tree has a bunch of other items for sale as well such as mugs, sweatshirts, locally made jams, tea infusers etc. it’s just all around a great little shop and it’s so much more rewarding to know that you’re supporting a small local business rather than one of the huge corporations that you see on every other corner across the country. Ps - the orange mocha is absolutely delicious!!!

I visit Kent to see family and love the coffee here. Always get a pound to take and last me till my next visit. Wish it was a bigger place with some sofas to hang out but, it's still a cool place.

O New Ohio / kent residents. Exploring the town to find a fun coffee spot. Decided to try Bent tree today. In a nutshell: - stressful energy - And rude staff - made our order wrong - gave it to someone else - remade wrong again - Burnt the bagel - Latte was 30% foam - no apology at any point - actually seemed bothered at every point Skip the bent tree & go to Scribbles for the win!

Best coffee shop in Kent. This isn’t a knock against the other ones in town, it’s just that bent tree has the best coffee and their beans taste the best. I’d recommend it to anyone in town

I went in with 2 friends just to try a new coffee shop. The man taking our order looked very inpatient with me and my friends. Wasn’t very nice just seem like he wanted us out of the way. The place was packed and was very dirty and just didn’t look organized at all inside. Once we got our coffees we went outside to try and them and they were the worst coffees we have ever had. Also very expensive don’t waste money, last exit or scribbles in downtown are 10 times better than this.

My college friend and I reunited today over this coffee place this morning. I was so impressed by their set up when I arrived. I loved their choices, the staff’s recommendation, and all the merchandise they had to sell. It was the perfect place to be able to reunite and catch up over some coffee. coffee was delicious as well! I probably told my friend over 5 times how much I was in love with their unique Turtle Shell Mug logo :)
