Hands down one of the best walking, garden, and scenery parks in Ohio! Today as I was meditating sitting on a rock; I started to cry. Nature really soothes your soul and helps rid your spirit from all the toxins of life. Now, I’m not saying your gonna need Kleenex- my jacket sleeve worked just fine for me. lol 🦋

Visitor Center is opened Wed to Saturday 10 am to 5 pm; and on Sundays 12pm to 5pm. The visitor center is CLOSED on MONDAYS and TUESDAYS. This is a very lovely place to unwind. Theres plenty of plants and wildlife. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The restrooms are heated with running water and flushing toilets and were remarkably clean.

Gorgeous visitor center. Where are you can sit out on the deck and watch nature and learn about all the different wildlife in the area from the knowledgeable staff. The walking paths are well-maintained, and stamped with different critters. Definitely a fun place to take the kids to learn about nature.

I’ve been coming to this park for over 30 years! It’s a great park with easy paved walking paths but also has a couple more strenuous hilly unpaved trails. The indoor pavilion has cool exhibits for kids and a nice bird watching room, amongst other programs and events. Rock garden in spring - fall is a nice bonus. Highly recommend!

What a gorgeous place to photograph a wedding! From the domes covered in vines, to the bridges over water, pathways lined with trees and beautiful landscaping! We would be glad to come back and photograph weddings here any time!

This is a great place to explore. Herb garden with signs. Great stone paths, and stone work in general! Landscapes, the building, landings, all seem to compliment the scenery and Not take away from it, IMHO. Absolutely stunning, grounds, its like walking into a fairy tale land. Animals come up to you, birds chirp and fly all around you, pristine, untouched, unadulterated views. The park service does hold events and activities at the visitors center from time to time- check their programming. There are great pavilions, gazebos, waterscapes (with fish) for birdwatching, reading, sketching, have a picnic. I could see this as a great location for a stroll out to a predetermined spot for a proposal! Need a natural setting for a photo shoot? This is it. Wildlife and flora abound, but are meticulous placed. We saw finches, a hawk, robins, chipmunks, rabbits, cardinals, chickadee, a gorgeous unidentified orange moth or smaller butterfly? All close to the paths we were walking. The colors were so vivid this fall, can't wait to go back and see all the buds bloom out for spring. Honestly, this is worth the trip no matter where you're driving from in the area (I would go back every season even if I lived more than an hour away)- it's that beautiful and serene. Must-go if you love nature!

Beautiful, peaceful, great wildlife and nature. This walk is one of the flatter trails around. There are a lot of things to see and a little kid had chip monks eating out of his hand. Bring some peanuts, sit calmly and see what happens. When we were kids we used to take school field trips here, was cool to see it grow into what it is today.

A very peaceful nature area just down the road from Summit Mall. Several different types of trails from paved to gravel to dirt through a variety of gardens and woods. Three main trails offer a variety of different loops with changing difficulties. Ample parking as well. Head down the road to the Merchant Tavern afterward for some great food and cocktails.

This place is absolutely stunning! It has walkthrough flower gardens and complete nature center as well! The nature center is a museum / zoo of local wild life in the area. (It has been a few years and i'm unsure if they still have live animals or not) This is the perfect place to stop and visit whether you are a local or traveling abroad and decide to stop in the Cuyahoga Valley. The Cuyahoga National Park system is massive and offers so many sites to see! As a local I can say I still haven't seen every single park myself and frequent often. To my credit this park extends from Akron to Cleveland, which is approximately 33 miles of various attractions to see!

Super nice place to take kids for walks. We come here often and bring our lunch/dinner with us. We enjoy eating at one of the many picnic tables they have, before walking and exploring with my grandkids.

Beautiful place for kids to learn and walk about nature. They have taxidermied animals there. Also, while I was there, a photo galllery was up with all the photos taken atound there by visitors.

A wonderful nature setting. This realm offers plenty. There are three different trails that wind you through gardens and wooded areas. The Fernwood trail has informational plaques describing native trees. Stop and check out Echo and Seneca ponds. There's also a suspension bridge which is quite nice. My favorite time is spring when it's not as hot and the gardens are blooming.

One of my favorite spots!! I’m here at least every other week. Beautiful trails and a nature center with a cute gift shop, kid-friendly educational resources and history, a little bird watching theater(!), and offering various classes. I’ve been to the nature drawing class a couple times and love the instructor. The trails also lead into the sandrun park. Great spot for photos for formal events/senior pics/engagements, etc. There’s also an herb garden that’s getting some updates, a cool bottle greenhouse, a couple ponds with nice benches. I can really spend all day here.

This park is stunning! There are multiple different trails and even connects to Sand Run if you want to go for a lengthy hike. Some parts are paved if you are handicapped or have a stroller, but the longer paths turn to dirt. There is a large garden with many arrangements of flowers as well as a pond you can overlook. Great place for families.

F.A. Swindling nature realm is a lovely path for the inexperienced hiker. Several trails are wonderful for pushing a stroller around it's not paved but if you have a stroller with tires it's good to go. Lots of places to stop and sit so I think it's mostly geared towards old people and families that being said if you did all the trails that would be many many miles I don't think you could get it done in a day unless you were a pretty serious runner. Also inside there are some exhibits as well as maps free license plate covers and more! Definitely a much nicer place than I expected.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and it is nostalgic. Absolutely beautiful any time of the year. The animals in the park are very used to people and will get close. We usually just stand to the side and they will mind their own business. Deer, rabbits, squirrels, geese, chipmunks, all kinds of birds will be seen. Such a beautiful park. If you're deciding on going...then go! Also check out the visitors center if they are open because there is a great place to watch birds inside!

Beautiful place to visit! Flower gardens are amazing. Trails are fun, easy - or difficult and challenging.

This is a special place taken care of by special people who care about nature. Beautiful trails and flowers that expose you to bees, birds and water. It's a refreshing change to the other parks that are nearby. It also offers a center, Japanese garden and some paved walking areas too. Come relax, grab a bench or have lunch in the open.... enjoy the outside.

We had a great time there. The place is very clean and very well kept up and the trails are beautiful. The staff is very friendly and are explaining wildlife to children (and adults really) at the visitor center or even just walking around the grounds. The chipmunks are really daring!

Well manicured walking park with a beautiful herb garden. Wheelchair accessible. If you want to see a beautiful woods without the sweat of slogging up hills and ravines. It connects to Sand Run Park if you want a more traditional style of hike. The visitors center is very interesting as well.

Oh my goodness I got lost on the trails and had to pull out my phone and use gps to get back. Beautiful scenery. I saw chipmunks everywhere on the trail and a deer saw me and ran off, that is how I saw it because it stopped to look back at me. I also saw a rabbit. The managed herb and butterfly gardens are well done, but I really enjoyed the wild areas.
