if u made it this way a must see of engineering. brought to u by the US Army Core of Engineers to solve the singular problem of building with local materials

This is really very special bridge. The Cribstone construction feels pretty fragile at the first glance, but given the weight of the stones and the construction itself it is safe. Worthwhile checking this out with your own eyes.

Great one of a kind architecture. Beautiful and holds up under crazy Maine weather and tides.

We used the parking lot at the far end of the bridge and explored both sides of the water. We were there in the off season so I will definitely go back in the summer!!!

It the ONLY Bridge in the world like it. Its very narrow but there's enough room for much Vehicles to go over at the same time, bigger trucks need to go single.. Watch the fire trucks yesterday go over they put their sirens on and make sure nobody else is coming in the opposite direction

Quiet, architectural unique in the whole world. Photo taken from the West side. Visit high or low tide regardless of season. The Maine granite Cribstone bridge is one of a kind allowing tides to flow through rather than to be blocked.

This is probably my favorite place in Maine. It’s beautiful and if you love looking for sea glass this is a perfect place!

You'll love it. It's such a beautiful spot, take a bunch of photos. The souvenir store is full of treasures that are pricey.

The Cribstone Bridge in Harpswell is an engineering marvel, and is the only one like it in the world..

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We had an amazing day hiking and sight seeing. It was a breezy day with light snow and ice covered trails. The views are amazing this time of year. The surf was raging and the sun was shining 🌟. The walk along the path to the big stairs is an easy one. The small town is a beautiful New England fis...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This sweet little trail is located right off route 24 for easy access. There is a dozen or so parking spaces but no rest rooms, grills, or picnic tables. The trails are clearly marked and are moderately challenging due to roots, mud, logs, and rock ledge that must be traversed. You are never more t...
