Follow up to Allied’s response: Whomever replied did not make themselves known when I was in the office. If it is the doctor himself, they said he was not available and he has not responded to any of my calls or voicemails. Beware and take caution. I found a fantastic doctor who is respectful, and the staff is too. Thanks for your concern, and attempting to keep money when I was told I would receive a refund. Please research this place, you can do better too. Original post: I Came all the way to the office for an appointment. The receptionist said hello and then asked me for my deductible right away. I also had to put down a down payment of $50 that did not go towards my deductible. which was not stated at time of scheduling the appointment. The financial person who sits in the back of the receptionist was rude. Rolled her eyes, and was very nasty. I will not go back there. Treat people the way you want to be treated, and if there is a high deductible tell clients before they come into the office.

This office is truly wonderful. The ladies that run the office are always so busy, but are always willing to help and accommodate any specific needs you may have. They have been so very kind to me. The counselor and the doctor I have worked with truly care about the well being of their patients. I never feel rushed or part of an agenda. I feel very heard and listened to. I would greatly recommend all staff at this office.

My psychiatrist was absolutely fantastic before he retired. I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone at any of the offices for well over a week now and I’ve left messages and NO ONE has responded. This is simply just not acceptable. I do not recommend this service provider to anyone.

(Edit: I received a call today 4/5 from Elizabeth because my doctor had called about the missed appointment. She was very kind and offered to reschedule my appointment for later this week, she stayed on the phone to confirm I received the virtual visit link. Hopefully yesterday was just an accident. Very happy with the service today. Thanks Elizabeth!) If I could give them zero I would. I have worked with my doctor through Ohio Psychiatry for about a year before it closed. My doctor then transferred to Allied Healthcare in Independence. I called 3/22/22 @8:49am and scheduled my next appointment for today 4/4/22. I needed to email a copy of my diagnosis from a different specialist to my psychiatrist before the appointment, so I called and left a voicemail. No one returned my voicemail so I called at my appointment time because I had not received the virtual visit invite. The receptionist, Jen, stated I did not have an appointment for today, I stated I did, she then confirmed my email and stated I should receive the invite. I called back not much later to ask what program we would be using for the virtual visit , Jen confirmed doxy.me. I never received the invite. I called multiple time during what was supposed to me my appointment and no one ever responded or called me back. I understand if there was a mix up and my appointment wasn't made. But confirming my email, saying I would receive an invite and confirming the software then essentially ghosting me is very unprofessional. I made this appointment to talk about my recent diagnosis and refill my current prescriptions. I will call tomorrow and hopefully speak with someone different but I'm not sure if I will stay with Allied Healthcare.

very caring and understanding providers. Dr Schenkenberg worked with me diligently to get me on the best combination of medicine and I actually got cured. He was so patient and stuck with me until I got the right combination of medication. I had to leave due to relocation, but left this practice and wish I could find one like it in Florida.

From the front desk to the back where the doctors are, the staff and doctors are so wholesome and truly treat you with the utmost compassion and dignity, unlike most doctor offices nowadays unfortunately. Jen was nice enough to call me back hours after they closed to help me get a closer appointment with my doctor. My doctor, Dr. Shenkelberg, is an active listener and is not “my way or the highway” type of doctor. Hats off to the entire staff and thanks for all you do.

Very disappointed in this place. This guy is an addictionologist! I needed a real psychiatrist and this guy just wanted the money. He dropped me and tried to hand me off to another doctor when he couldn't deal with me. All he did was judge me bc I couldn't live up to his unrealistic expectations. I have Cancer and they never even took my hardship into consideration. Their therapists are terrible too. Don't come here if you don't like being judged for your problems

The Drs prescribed medication for me was spot on and did an amazing job with my issues. Then I broke my toe and could not come in for a urine test to receive a controlled substance prescription which was an integral part of my recovery. I offered to have my husband bring a sample, as well as any other necessary information that would be needed to get my medication. I was told he could not do it for me and I had to come in. It would be difficult because I could not put any weight on my toe as well as shoes. My fracture was nondisplaced so concern about me injuring it again and displacing the fracture was told me by my Dr. It was snowing and I was out of my medicine. I called and no one ever called me back. That was 2 weeks ago. For the last 2 months none of my refills were phoned into my drug store. That was the last appointment I will be having at this office. I have scheduled elsewhere and found a new Dr. who will put his patients first.

I saw Dr. Oros for help with depression. My out of pocket for 5 weeks was over $500.00. To see the Dr. or therapists on staff all new patients must take a itinerary test. I do not even take aspirin! The lab bill came today for $845! The therapist I saw spent most of the time talking about themselves. I have sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes without even an apology! I would Never Seek Help from this place again.

I have only ever had extremely positive experiences here. The reception and nursing staff are always kind and friendly, and I love chatting with them before my appointments. Dr. Oros and Steve are both excellent practitioners who take their time in my appointments and never make me feel rushed to leave. They are awesome at answering any questions you may have and finding a treatment plan that works with your needs and concerns. I can tell that everyone there genuinely wants to help me be the best version of myself!

I am very happy with the care I am receiving here. I have seen counselors and psychiatrist throughout my entire life trying to figure out how to cope with life and to find out "what's wrong with me" and for the first time I feel not only heard but I'm getting feedback! I've not felt judged or condemned here , Dr. Masters and Dr. Oros both have helped me to really dig into and address each issue , it feels nice to feel affirmed in many things and but also given the grace to really work through the sometimes painful realizations that I personally am the cause of some of the stuff and I'm able to take responsibility without feeling laughed at for having faults, thats something that I haven't found at any of the other practices I've been to. As far as medications go I feel that Dr. oros is very thorough while choosing what would best suite me and my other existing prescriptions. He is more than willing to listen to me about what my body tells me while taking the medications. I feel that it's very important to be urine tested while taking medicine so that he is able to make sure that the medications he is prescribing won't cause any potentially fatal reactions. So I'd say all in all if you are looking for a down to earth practice with people who genuinely care about your well-being this is this is the place to go. Also I am seeing some complaints about the office ladies and all I can say about that is , they are human too , busy and I'm sure not a one of them are purposely leaving calls and questions unanswered . It helps to have a little patience:)
