Easy to locate as it is welcomed by a grand arch, closeby to Banerughatta national park.. One of the ideal places for a weekend getaway as one can have divine experience and get close to nature, quiet far away from concrete jungle and hustles of city life. Main gopuram can be seen from far end of the street which inculcates the divine feeling right at the entrance. Do experience quiet a good climb to see hilltop Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple. No need to search for parking spaces as we do in city centres. PS: Please do check out the temple timings for Monday to Friday . Temple closes at 1 PM and opens at 4 PM. Weekends no issue in afternoon timings. You will not find this info anywhere in Google.

A magnificent Venkatramana temple with 1000+ year history. The temple is peaceful and welcoming to all devotees. Folks visiting Bannerghatta should not miss visiting here. A short climb of 60 steps will also take the visitor to Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy temple. The views from this temple is breathtaking. The air here is very cool and relaxing.

Very good and silent place. Also it's the place where many filming take place. Can view the film shootings from nearby. Also there is a way to suvarnamukhi temple from champakadhama. Need to go to temple through forest. Would be better if gone in groups.

Great hindu temple built by ancient kings. The main gos is champakadhama swamy along with sridevi and bhudevi the temple also has lakshmi godesses. There will be a feastival conducted during ugadi time where a big charroit with the deities inside is rode along the temple street. Above on the top of hill lord narasimha ia there. Peaceful..! Feels good when you enter the temple premises.. It's an old temple from the period of chola's as I know.. Adjacent to that Lakshmi Narasimha temple is there around 160 steps beautiful.. You can enjoy the beautiful sunset here. Some more temples are there nearby but better to go along with others. I think it's a little difficult to go alone. Seen drinking water tap inside the temple don't know about the purity of water. Toilet is nearby need to be maintained. For emergency OK OK. I think there is no parking charges.. Sad Part - Please someone concerned with authority take action to maintain the cleanliness around the temple.. Hill tops are more plastic water bottle wastage, ice cream wrappers, so many wastages.. Very sad to see this.

This temple is called Champakadhama Swamy as it was the practice to give the deity Champaka or Sampige flowers regularly, Temple was build during 12th century, Inscriptions found here point to the fact that the structure was built in 1257 AD. The Temple is maintained by Government of Karnataka Preferred to be a family outing, spending half a day by explore around the temple.

It was my first visit to Champakadhama Swamy Temple, Darshan timings might vary depending on the day of your visit. The first shrine is for Lord Balaji , Further Steps carved on rocks leading to the Narasimha temple on top where you feel relaxed and can mediate. So religious space. Something really interesting is the pathway of about 2 KMS through the Bannerghatta forest behind Narasimha temple leading to Suvarnamukhi temple of Lord Anjaneya. It was an amazing experience, I felt really calm and spent almost an hour at the forest temple of Anjaneya. Localites said that the water in the pond near the temple has medicinal qualities and the idol of Anjaneya is kept underneath which will be visible during the summer. Must visit for all devotees and those who want to relax and calm mind with positive vibes.🙏

One of the oldest temple located near Bannerghatta zoo, also there is one more temple located on top on hill which is close to 170 steps from the Champakadama gopura. There is also a temple, statue of linga, pond which takes around 30 mins of walk from bill top to the 3rd temple area. A must visit place, please carry water bottle as u don’t get it until u reach the 3rd temple.

The Temple is maintained by Government of Karnataka. It houses unique stone scriptures. Champakadhama is another name of Lord Rama or Vishnu.Sri Champakadhama Swamy Temple is built by the Hoysala Dynasty ruler Tamilarasa in the year 1257 CE, at the foothills of Vahinigiri betta (Hill), it is just 2 km to Bannerghatta National park, which is a thick forest, by which we can guess that this place was once surrounded by the Jungle.

Hare Krishna, such a divinely experience. Spectacular, wonderful and other such words are just words. Those wont describe the real feeling what you get after having the Lord Darshan. Please do visit this place, have darshan and climb up to have darshan of Narasimha Bhagavan and then take a walk beside to reach Janamejaya Pond.

Supposedly one of the oldest temple, few hundred years old. The temple seem to have undergone a lot of renovations so you can clearly notice the variation of old and new in certain areas. Yet the vibe inside is great. The idols of Lord Vishnu with Godess Sridevi and Godess BhooDevi in the main temple look so beautiful. Adjacent to the temple is the gateway to the Lord Narasimha Swamy Temple. There are roughly 100+ steps to the temple that is in top of a small hillock. The view of the gopuram of the Champakadhama Swamy looks amazing from the top of the hillock. ------------------------------------------ We visited the temple again during the weekend. If you reach early, there will be very little crowd. After the visit to the Lord Narasimha Swamy temple, you can trek to the Lord Hanuman temple. The path is right after the temple further up after the temple. Pity that there's no sign board or any of the temple authorities inform you of the temple or the path to trek. We noticed a few regulars taking the path and asked them about it and decided to take the path. It's not a tough path though as we walked barefoot. After about 2 kms, you reach the Lord Hanuman temple and behind the temple after another 200 mts is a Kalyani adjacent to Godess Amba Bavani temple. Carry water bottles if you plan to trek. It's a small little trek. Besides the Lord Hanuman temple is the lord Shiva temple (there are 3 of them in fact).

I am no place to review a temple but this is just for information if anyone finds it useful. This temple located in very remote and peaceful area of Banarghatta near the Banarghatta Zoo road. It is clearly one of the oldest and biggest temple around. There is 2 temples here one of Narashimha at the top which people might miss easily. So be sure to buy to offerings for both the temple. In the first temple they offer rice and sambhar prasad where you can collect the prasad and clean the plates for next person. At the top temple you have a scenic view of Banarghatta from the rocky mountain, where you can sit and eat the prasad and enjoy the view with the gushing wind. The bad part is even this place is not spared by couples marking their names on the stones here. Other than that it is very peaceful place.

Very ancient temple, calm and pious place for worship. Also one must visit Sri Lakshmi Narasimha temple by claiming 170 steps if they are capable of claiming the steps. They can have panoramic view of the city. If you are a Hindu and planning to visit Bannerghatta zoo you can include this temple which is on the road and near to your Zoo. Plan to visit temple first before the zoo opens. Do not afraid of the steps. There is a slope available on the left side. Have nice Dharshan and avail God’s blessings with full satisfaction.

It's one of the most beautiful temple with mesmerizing architecture. One need to visit this temple and take god's blessings. Behind the temple there is a mountain where you can track and visit the Narsimha gods temple constructed on top of this mountain and the view from top is mesmerizing. A must visit place when you plan your trip to Bannerghatta.

It's a beautiful place to hang out with friends and family. Temple is well maintained, and decoration for Dasara was fabulous. After visiting champakadama, we should go by step to visit Narasimha swamy. We have huge monkeys there. The view from the top of it is mind-blowing and amazing. I just loved going there and enjoyed myself with my family. Kindly wear indian ware when u visit this temple.

This is very good hindu temple. Please don't write anything on the stones of the temple and spoil its beauty. The temple is very cool and old. The priest in the mahalakshmi temple guided me to the sashtanga namaskara I felt so good for that.
