Ponnappa hotel is situated in T Narsipura and Nanjungud road. You need to drive slowly to find this hotel, as it is attached to the road. Car & bike parking on your risk. We visited this hotel post lockdown on a Sunday morning around 9am. It was almost occupied and we waited about 20mins to get seated. Menu is limited. We ordered: Idli, masala vada, Plain dose & benne saada dose (saada means plain again, but dose texture will be fluffy). Idli is so soft and it is soaked in chutney and saagu. Saagu is a highlight savoury. They have some unique way of preparing the saagu and it tastes so good and you feel like having more and more. Chutney is quite spicy. Masala vada was crispy from outside. Texture was great and deep fried to an extent were it has not observed much of oil. Benne saada as mentioned it’s fluffy and mushy. Plain dosa was quite crisp and tasted great. They also serve rice bath, tea & coffee. The taste is so mouth watering is because, everything is cooked wood fire. Wood fire is an ancient method and that gives an unique flavour. Hotel is quite small and accommodates about 20 people in one stretch. This is the reason, waiting time is more. As this is a small town, people quite don’t follow social distancing, but most of them had worn mask. However, hotel staffs were wearing mask. They serve hot water for drinking. Price is penny worth. You certainly feel satisfied here for the taste. Note: Due to COVID-19, kindly wear mask and carry sanitiser. STAY SAFE!!

It is already popular in our town....it is getting more popular across south karnataka....people are coming from Bengaluru and some far places as well just to have breakfast....as a localite I'm present on every Sunday without missing!!!

Loved idli and benne !

This hotel is famous for (butter) benne dosa and idli. I am visiting this hotel since 2013-2014. They serve vada, parota, rice baath, set dosas and tea as well. Roasted Plain Butter Dosa (benne roast) is very delicious (highly recommended). They serve complementary chutney and saag with it. But to be honest I have noticed that "old delicious taste" is missing since my last 3 recent visits. But I hope for the good in my next visit.

This hotel located in T.Narasipura, which is 40-50km drive from Mysuru. Dose lovers must visit and try the the benne roast dose. We tried Idli and benne dose. Both are tasted good, chutney will give extra add on taste for the both idli and dose. Service and response is good by staffs. Price wise , value for the money. Thanks

i visited this hotel with friends and family , we tried idle chutney with butter . ghee dosa , veg biryani . Its too small but served food was awesome .
