Very rarely do I give full stars nonetheless this place earned them. When we arrived for my daughter's birthday we were asked if we had a reservation. We were unaware that our reservation is recommended, but not required, regardless they were able to seat us within 5 minutes. The hostess was beyond gracious and welcoming. When the waiter found out that this is our first time at a Korean BBQ restaurant he explained the process the food what we should expect. He was exceedingly respectful courteous and helpful which only made the dining experience that much better. The food was Top Notch we chose the beef combo and the amount of food that was brought out fed our family of five perfectly. The quality and caliber of ingredients used is well worth the price. I would easily give this place 10 Stars if the option was available. The atmosphere is excellent for date night as well as bringing the whole family out. As a southerner I find it difficult to find proper sweet tea, this place has excellent proper Southern sweet tea. I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to try this place.

This place was so delicious!! Came here recently Saturday for dinner for a party of 6. We ordered two sets of the Combo A Chadol which includes Brisket, Pork Belly, Pork Bulgogi and LA Galbi—their meats were so fresh and tasted so good! I’ll have to come back again soon!

First time eating here and I was really impressed. The prices were on the high end of my personal scale but well worth it. The food was incredible and the service was the best I've experienced in a long time. The atmosphere was high end, a great place for a first date or a 20th anniversary. I had the pork belly and it's cooked right at your table. I can't say enough about Chadol, I highly recommend you take your spouse there for a delicious and romantic dinner.

For those local in Gaithersburg or Rockville, this is a good new option for high quality kbbq outside of ktown in annendale. A bit on the pricier side, however I came for the weekday lunch buffet, so for $29 per person it was comparable in price to other kbbq places in the DMV area. I would probably give it 4 stars if I ordered a le cart or dinner buffet due to the price. Overall meat quality was great. Beef brisket was our favorite. Quality feels better than average. Sides were also great quality. The sauces were a bit on the sweet side. Had to separately request gochujang and doenjang. Ambiance was great as well, much better than iron age Rockville which blasts deafening music.

I would consider myself a Korean bbq all you can eat connoisseur and let me tell you this place is hands down my top 2 Korean bbq in the Maryland area. Iron Age brisket is a hit and miss but overall it’s solid even if it’s a miss. This place has the best brisket overall with the right amount of fat and meat thinly sliced with the perfect tenderness. Other places has that do offer brisket in my opinion typically has too much fat or not enough fat and sometimes the brisket can be really tough to chew. Chadol brisket and bulgolgi seems to be top quality for what you pay for. The sauces were kinda weak but the quality makes up for it. The pink sauce is sweet, the brisket dark sauce is also weak and the salt/pepper is the best option. I would dip the brisket into the brisket sauce and dip into the salt pepper for the perfect taste. The salad was good and the dressing is also a good option to get on the side to dip your meat into. You have the option to get complimentary dessert in the end or the option to get a draft beer item in the beginning. The tiramisu desert is so good and the layers makes it really good to bite into and the chai cake was decent but not better than tiramisu. The server was also really good and attentive when we were running out of meat. 45 dollars per person after tip. Overall I would def come here after the gym and eat! Ambiance is pretty cool and def makes me unique from other Korean bbq! I hope they don’t go out of business and never offer cheap quality meat! 10/10 would come again!

We ordered the beef combo for two. It was more food than we could eat. Meat quality was very good, and our server, Maika was very attentive and friendly. Seafood pancake was great, as well. Restaurant was modern and well decorated. It exceeded our expectations. Will definitely return.

Side dishes were plentiful and service is excellent. We got the premium chadol set and a free soup on the house. The brisket really shines compared to all the other meats. They had some nice fatty layers that were packed with flavor. The soup was abit salty but was still delicious. It tasted like the soup was salted instead of the salt being layered in. The service was great and provided all the meat cooking and cutting. I'll give to another shot in a couple months to see if the meat quality comes up a bit and check on service consistency.

Great quality food and great service. So glad there’s a quality kbbq in the area. They do not have all-you-can-eat. They do have bundles that are reasonably priced and portions are pretty large.

My family & I came celebrated late Mother's day lunch at Chandol. The restaurant ambiance is clean, looks like an upscale Korean BBQ place. The grill has a good ventilation so when you finished dinning you won't smell like you been exposed to a Smokey BBQ Grill. Servers are very attentive, courteous and friendly. We ordered from the A La Cart menu as we do not eat Pork. Would be nice if the restaurant works on serving some seafood for those who does not eat certain meats. Overall, the meat looked & tasted clean, flavorful and tender. The quality of meat is outstanding, there was a plenty of food to eat. We loved the LA Galbi it stands out and was well marinated. The restaurant is a bit pricey but they offer high quality meats and good service. The only thing I would suggest is some customers are different from the rest, like us we understand that its a Chandol way server comes to cook the meat and cut it for the customer. Wish they would just ask and offer cause as a family we would like to just cook it ourselves and have a little family talk while enjoying delicious food. In other words we would love to take our time and have a little quality time while eating. 😊 Would definitely come back and recommend to family and friends. Hopefully by then there is some dessert and seafood in the menu.

Hands down the best service I have ever gotten (thank you Kevin!) and the highest quality Korean Barbecue I have ever experienced. It was my birthday and I received a free mocktail (melona, delicious) and a birthday card! Better than all the other places in the area, albeit more pricey, but totally worth it. Highly, highly recommend!

Compliment to a great server, Alexandra F. This was our first visit to Chadol Korean BBQ. Our server was Alexandra who made our dining experience very positive. She did an exceptional job! She was very pleasant, well-organized and remembered our orders and extra side orders impeccably when the restaurant was full. Also her suggestions of food were very helpful. Overall, Chadol, Rockville was a good place for family gathering but Alexandra made it greater. Visited on 7/23/2022-Table B-4

A very approachable restaurant for those who are not that familiar with Korean BBQ but not the best for others in my opinion. The restaurant tries hard to bring an upscale Korean BBQ experience but their food quality of the side dishes (banchan, which are very important for most Koreans) are way below par. Both in the variety they offer (included and what you can order via a la carte) and quality. Staff were super friendly and establishment was fancy enough for most occasions. The tables/benches are super tight with little room for adjustments so if you are tall or on the heavier side, request for one of the few tables with chairs vs benches. My biggest complaint was the lack of transparency on the portion of meat for the prices they were charging (understanding this may vary quite a bit due to market prices). When I asked how each portion of meat was on the combos (either in grams or ounces) vs the a la carte I never got a straight answer. I was told the combo will typically be ~ 8oz per meat type but a la carte is "likely" to be smaller.

We had the pork combo for 4 people. Meats were fresh, and the server cooked them for us. We got the kimchi pancake, by far the best flavored one I've found in the DMV area. The fried dumplings were delicious. Sweet tea was refreshing and made for the sweet tea lover - if you're not used to southern sweet tea, get half and half. The Black raspberry wine is our go too for Korean BBQ. It was a little chilly when we got there, but it's expected with a grill at every table - the facility can heat up quickly. Ellicott City is my go to Asian food. Not any more. This is the best Korean BBQ I've had. Kimchi was amazing, along with all the other sides. Nothing bad to say about this restaurant.

They have AYCE menu with very little meat sections, so we did a combo for 2, side order of beef tongues and pork jowl. Not happy with the pork belly that comes with the combo, it’s thick cut with lots of fat, waitress was very nice but manager said no exchange or return when food goes on the table. Fine, I take that, and the cooked pork belly turns out to have boar taint, very disgusting. Also, the side order of beef tongue ($30) also turns out to be not fresh. We ate the top two layers and wasn’t until the third/bottom layer that we found brown spots on the meat. This time they take the food back to the kitchen, admitted it wasn’t fresh, exchanged the meat (1 layer of meat), and served it to us. Through out the whole dinning experience, waitress is very nice, I still tipped 20%, but the managements seems stingy, and manager never showed up to the table for their mistakes. I don’t think I will be back here anymore. Update: I reached out to the owner after seeing his reply to my original review. After personal investigation of the situation, very professionally, the owner apologized for what had happened during my dining experience, promised to better train the kitchen staff and managements, and issued me a full refund. Which is definitely worth another star.

Found out this place randomly while looking for food on Google Maps. I was excited to find a Korean BBQ place because a lot of the ones in the area aren't very good. I had to drive all the way to Annandale or Centreville just to get quality KBBQ. First off when you get here, parking can be a little difficult. It's a busy plaza with lots of other popular shops. They do have valet parking available if that suits your fancy. Chadol is definitely a more upscale, premium KBBQ place. It's not an AYCE restaurant such as Iron Age or Honey Pig. The prices and atmosphere definitely reflect that. I just wish the lights were a little brighter, it felt very dark inside. The quality of meat is absolutely superb. Flavorful and prepared very well. Although the marinated galbi was not what I was expecting (their marinade seemed to be a lot sweeter), it was very delicious. We also got the "Beef Hangover Soup" as part of their special deal and while it was tasty, it was a little too spicy for us (we're very bad with spicy food in general). We also got the "Steamed Egg Custard" and "Corn-Cheese". The steamed egg was a little overcooked and came out a little dry. The corn-cheese was nice and flavorful, maybe would prefer with a bit more cheese. All in all, I can't really knock a star for small things like that. Maybe half a star? The service was incredibly friendly, our server, Jerycho, was attentive, helpful, and chatted with us. We definitely started to slow down eating towards the end and he would give us time to catch up eating before cooking the next meat. Other places would just pile it all on quickly to get you out the door quickly. It was nice to be able to take it slow when we wanted to. (It wasn't super packed inside so it wasn't like we were holding up other tables). I would definitely come here again. Especially because how close it is to home (just 5 minutes down the road). It's a little rough on the wallet, but it's definitely worth it for the better quality and taste you'll get compared to elsewhere.

Chadol is the best Korean BBQ restaurant in the area, in my opinion. You might think it’s a bit pricey, but the quality of meat & service make up for it. It's a trendy place, so reservation is highly recommended. Servers are always lovely and attentive, and they are so good at cooking the meat perfectly! Side dishes are delicious, and also ask for ssamjang & ssam. And also extra jalapeños & garlic on the side (to grill them). Chadol is an excellent place for family outings, dates, or even treating guests. We haven’t tried it yet, but they also have an all-you-can-eat option during Mon-Thu lunch.

What an amazing experience this place was! I recently won a gift card and was so excited to try it as we have not been to a Korean Restaurant before. The food was so delicious and our server Irene was very courteous, tentative and knowledgable of the menu as well as our questions on the food. We went with the Chadol Premium choice D and all of the cuts of meats were spectacular. The various sides all went perfect with the meal. We cannot wait to go back!!

Great place 4 meat eaters...not great if not...may need to read Korean to know exactly what u r ordering...atmosphere is a bit too dark for our taste....foods r too sweet but maybe okay for non-Asians. It's been around 4 18 months according to the waiter--first time I heard about it. Pancakes were good but better if they made the middle more krispy... But if they have been well...it's just my taste, thx

This was my first time trying Chadol and overall I thought it was really good. They were doing a special on the all you can eat that we decided to get. I think the soy chicken was the best thing we got. We got like 3 portions of it. The Bridger was decent but I think I like iron age a little more. The blugogi was delicious as well. The pork belly was a little bland but the sauces made up for it. We also got an order of galbi that is not an all you can eat option. It was great as well. I'd definitely go back here.

Great little Korean restaurant in Virginia. I was on a work trip and this was right down the street from my hotel. As with my other post, I love Korean food. Everything was fresh and cooked right at the table. The side dishes here were really good, the meat was typical. All in all a great place to stop in. The pork belly was definitely my favorite part! My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what I expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special whether it was service, food, staff, etc., and a 5 means I was blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing with no offer to correct the experience and a 1-star rating was terrible

Food was amazing, they don’t re-use perpetually frozen meat like other places. What impressed me was the service. They cook and cut the meat and refilled our drinks, side dishes, and rice relatively quickly. Might be the best kbbq in Maryland!

This is the best and I mean THE BEST Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to. They provide tableside service to every table and everything in the menu! For the amount of food we got our pockets and tummy’s were satisfied. I am not from the area but if I am down here again I will be coming back. Highly suggest the pork bulgogi and the dumplings. So so so good!

Had actually planned to hit another restaurant nearby, but my 11-year old son and I love Korean BBQ and shifted gears when we noticed this new (to us) place. And I'm so glad we did. Absolutely fantastic and we'll definitely be back. It's pricier than what we're used to with some of the other area Korean BBQ options, but both of us agreed that it's a) reasonable given the increase in quality and b) absolutely better than those other options. A wider variety of banchan than other area options and all were fantastic (definitely best kimchi). We got the dumplings, boneless ribeye, beef bulgogi, and pork belly and everything was fantastic. Portion sizes were good. I also got an order of the kimchi stew and it was A+. Definitely my top spot for kimchi stew now. Food was great and we immediately became big fans of this spot. Worth noting that the staff was incredibly friendly and our server was amazing. My son commented repeatedly that our server was not only very friendly, but very helpful and kept checking in to ensure we had everything we needed.
