It’s a great place with good food. We’ve enjoyed our family meals and take-away during Covid very much. The Farmers salad is one of the best salads we’ve ever had—so delicious. The pasta dishes (like 4-cheese/butternut ravioli) are very yummy. The mac&cheese is outrageously good and the peanut butter pie and butterscotch bread pudding are both to die for. Unfortunately, a couple of our week-night pick ups haven’t been that great. The chicken fried steak (yum peppery!) and ravioli with chicken cutlet were tasty, but both were overdone to the point of shoe leather. And, as my pics show, the soup is usually very good, but at $9 for about 3/4 cup (*TINY*) we will definitely skip it in the future.

Our first time here as a family dinner for my birthday and everything is delicious. The restaurant is well decorated and the staff are knowledgeable on the menu. I ended up getting the fried chicken steak, strawberry ginger margarita and a mimosa with a butterscotch bread pudding with a vanilla sauce. I like the fact you can eat outside in the warm tents or inside with the choice of the main floor or upstairs. Oh we did have the wings and biscuits for appetizers. Delicious delicious

Been wanting to try this plaza for a while but today was the day! It was a very good experience, the food was good service was efficient, clean! The men's bathroom was darker than I'd liked. While taking my 7 year old daughter to use the bathroom the only one stall they had was so dark I needed to turn my phone flashlight on in order to see

Our family ate at Founding Farmers last night. It was a unique environment. We loved the atmosphere. The service was great and the food was good quality too. The portions are large. Everyone in our family liked the food they ordered. We especially liked the avocado toast and the corn bread.

My friend and I were shouting why don’t they open a location near Baltimore. Great time there with goooood food and staff. 🧈I love their biscuit a lot. It was crispy at the edge, fluffy and soft in the middle. It was huge and good to go with butter. 🥗The corn chicken salad was our VIP that day. Super impressive and well flavored. I love the idea of replacing croutons with cubed corn breads. Adding mango was also a plus. 🥄The risotto was not that perfect but it still tasted good. I personally didn’t like the rice they used. 🍩The fried donut was a hit. The texture was amazing, it was fried perfectly. Crispy edge with fluffy, soft inner dough. My favorite sauce was the chocolate. It came with a slight rum smell. The only thing that I will be picky was the caramel sauce. I felt it was not pure caramel cause it looked transparent and the color was grayish.

Enjoyed Winter restaurant week with a delicious 3-course dinner of salad/soup, entree, and dessert! Reservations made via OpenTable with everything ready for us when we arrived. Table lightning was a dim (noticed a bulb out) making menu difficult to read but the server knew the menu well and provided meaningful input into our entree selection. I loved the atmosphere and decor. (Server commented that it was a slow night so I believe that’s why I had no problem with same-day reservations.) Regarding our meal, the salad (says “small” but it was a pretty good size with the fresh toppings) had fresh greens and just enough dressing to flavor each bite without the greens drowning. Our entrees came out hot and tasty! I enjoyed the Farmers Platter which was a perfect sampling of their offerings. If you love hotdogs, come here! Our other meal was the Fish of the Day (Rockfish) Meunière style (which was recommended by our server). It was a fabulous choice! We finished the meal with dessert and shared an ice cream sundae with superb ingredients! The hot fudge was perfection as was the vanilla ice cream and real (dense) whipped cream! (Coulda lived without the rock hard brownie at the bottom, but still…yum!) Overall, a wonderful experience and I would go again! Thank you for a wonderful meal on a snow day!

We came here for restaurant week lunch. You could get a soup/salad, entree and dessert for $25. As the normal cost of the quinoa bowl was $14.50, the normal cost of the entrees was $23-24 and the desserts were $12, this was an incredible deal and I would recommend anyone who is nearby one of their locations to stop by. The quinoa bowl was very good, perhaps one of the best tasting salads I've had, and a lot of very healthy stuff inside. For the entrees, we ordered the Chicken Bolognese Bucatini and the Chesapeake Wild Blue Catfish. Both were pretty good, although I wished the portion of catfish was bigger. Normally I am not a huge fan of grits but I thought theirs were actually very good. The bucatini had a good portion, very filling and I really liked the homemade pasta. The desserts were also very tasty. I liked the Banana Cream Pie more than the Key Lime Pie as the key lime was a little bit too sweet for my taste. I'm very happy to have come during this restaurant week deal as it was incredible value for $25 each. However, if rating these dishes at the regular price, the only dish I would order again would be the bucatini as I felt the others were a bit too expensive for the portion, although everything tasted very good. The only downside today was the service was on the slow side. The restaurant was quite busy, probably because of restaurant week, but we were on our lunch break and ordered as soon as we could, and ordered our desserts to go before our entrees came. We were in and out in about an hour and 5 min which isn't a disaster, but we were hoping for better than that as we felt at least we were pretty efficient on our end.

This was my second visit and this time I knew to make reservations in advance because Sunday brunch can be pretty busy. My girlfriends were happy to enjoy some mimosas and bacon wrapped dates to start. My Bleu cheese and bacon burger was pretty decent. I definitely prefer a thin patty like they had, so that was great. But both my friend and I agree that they could’ve been a bit more generous with those toppings as the edges were quite naked. However, their fries were great! I also took home two take and bake chocolate chip cookies. I thought it was odd they didn’t put instructions in the bag. So I just set my oven to 350 and kept and eye on them. In the end they took maybe 18 minutes?? They weren’t the best cookies I’ve had in this area, but I can’t say no to a fresh out of the oven cookie. Our server was great. Very helpful answering all my crazy menu questions.

My bf and I both left breakfast depressed. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and a egg scramble. I thought neither was impressive, just edible, though my bf liked the pancakes and said they were well fried. My bf ordered goat cheese tortellini and chicken cutlets (his normal order at other locations) and it was terrible neither of us could eat it (photo included) and a mocha which was delicious. Everything was so overpriced bill was about 70; We paid $5 for 6 oz of orange juice that tasted funky. To top it all off the service was slow so we had to sit and wait forever in our depression.

The service was great. Our waiter isaac was very attentive and kind. The main course i got was the scallops meunière. The scallops were amazingg but the risotto was a bit underdone. My favorite part was the desert- I got the vanilla cheesecake and it was great.

Had a pretty big egg shell in my eggs, but at least we know they’re fresh! Parmesan grits had good flavor but the crunchy consistency wasn’t for me — I prefer my grits smooth and creamy. The bacon was good…and that’s all I have to say.

Interesting menu, and lots of yummy choices. We started with fried green tomatoes which were yummy (be careful, dairy in coating and sauces). I had the lentil and pork stew which was delicious and presented nicely. The stew was topped with egg and avocado which complimented the flavors well. It was served with a crisp thick slice of toast and a great side salad that had grapes, dates, avocado, almond slices, grape tomatoes, and a fabulous champagne vinaigrette that was garlicky and delicious. I would have been happy just with that fab side salad! My husband and daughter had the fried chicken which they really liked which was served with an awesome buttermilk biscuit, yummy mashed potatoes, and unfortunately very mediocre and bland collard greens. Her friend had chicken bucatini which had a delicious creamy sauce and thick homemade pasta. I had a bourbon smash which was done well and my husband had a bourbon mule which he liked. The wait service was attentive and the manager came over to check on us even on a busy night. The atmosphere is inviting with interesting architecture/ interior design, warm colors, and lovely light fixtures. We sat on the balcony which was warm and inviting. I appreciated the acrylic dividers between the booths. I'd definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

A manager by the name of Alex at the Potomac, MD location did a great at understanding the importance of a life threatening anaphylactic allergy. He certainly put customer service as a top priority and I appreciated it. The Thanksgiving meal was good, but I do prefer their regular menu.

I love Founding Farmers. I have been several times. The drinks are interesting and the food is great. I really like the chicken pot pie. It is very unique and quite tasty. I have left happy every time. The servers are very helpful if you ask for a recommendation. Don't be afraid to ask.

Stopped in for breakfast last Monday. Atmosphere was great, service fantastic despite it being a busy federal holiday. I had the roasted veggies scramble and it was good but not out of this world for the price. Also, the sourdough bread was not great -- more like a rough wheat which I do normally love but I was looking for that tangy sourdough.

I can’t say enough good about our experience at Founder’s. The service, atmosphere, food were a collective collaborative 10/10 with our server Tavis. I don’t often write reviews but I was truly taken aback and honestly wish I could live closer to experience this more often. Highly recommend.

Service was awesome & Estella did an amazing job 🖤✨ We decided to celebrate, my sisters birthday here. Party of five for brunch on Indigenous People Day! We expected long wait times for seats and food so we made a reservation and arrived early! We were seated immediately and began to order! Drinks were ordered right away, with a couple of appetizers! Apps came quickly, and we decided to just go ahead and order our meals! Food was good, had to add some salt&pepper but, the drinks were great! Bacon lollipops also stole the show, according to my niece, sister and Mom.

Came here for Thanksgiving. Eating the turkey was like chewing on shoelaces - toughest turkey I have ever had. However, the rest of the meal was ok! Cocktails were good - I recommend the chi chi colada.

Ohh my former stomping ground! Been coming here for years! Love the brunch selection and stick with the chicken salad, chicken and waffles, steak and pasta. Will be back when I’m in town and enjoy the entertainment from the bar. 👊👊👊

Having lunch with a friend from Michigan and we had a great time...food, friendship and fun! I might also add that I had my grandson and nephew with me too and the had fun as well. My nephew loved his pancakes and my grandson loved the fried green tomatoes...who knew!

Fabulous experience! The food was delicious and our waiter, Isaac was superb! His service was above and beyond. We had the dates-some of the best we’ve ever eaten. The short ribs and the NY strip were excellently seasoned and prepared. My husband, who loves loves peanut butter, said the peanut butter mousse pie was the best he’s ever had. The beverages were just as good-wonderful cocktails and after dinner drinks. Dinner was so good, we can’t wait to try the brunch!

A popular place for breakfast based solely on the number of customers at the restaurant on a Friday morning. Our breakfast was filling and full of flavor. Coffee was frequently refilled - complete with a question "Do you want any coffee to go ?" Truly enjoyed our dining experience at MoCo's Founding Farmers restaurant.

Everything was so delish!! We got the hot crab and artichoke app which was great for three people. The sausage gnocchi was AMAZING. Issac was so friendly and helpful when we were trying to choose between drinks (the blackberry sour was refreshing and delightful) and making sure we had everything we needed. The beignets were the perfect way to end the meal and with three sauces, everyone had a favorite! Ask for Isaac, he’s the best!

Came here for dinner to celebrate with friends and found it very underwhelming. First of all the service and the starter (sliders) were great no complains there but as we got to the main dishes we found ourselves very disappointed. The Chicken and Waffles wasn’t great as the chicken was both dry and flavorless leaving both my friends to leave the chicken. As for the pasta I ordered flavor wise it was good but it was a bit over cooked and it was noticeable. For $20+ a plate I expected better. I think we were maybe just unlucky that day.

Well, let me start by saying up until this experience, I was not a fan of ANY of the Founding Farmers restaurants. In the past I have experienced unseasoned and bland food at the other locations. I decided to try this one out since the reviews appeared extremely favorable. Here are my takeaways: 1. The service wasn't that great because I had to repeatedly find or request other severs to assist our table. Our waitress had a table with about 8 people and had her focus on that table. We had to get other people to get our drinks and place our food order. The Manager did come to our table to apologize and assist us. 2. I had the spinach salad with apples, steak, nuts, a few other items. The salad dressing it came with was great! The steak had ZERO seasoning. I think they put in about 1/4 of an apple. There was too much spinach for the amount of ingredients, so the ratio was way off. I also recommended to the Manager that they either replace the spinach with arugula or add some to this dish. 3. Drinks-They only have craft beers. The Vodka and cranberry "juice" that my mom received was horrible! I guess they use real cranberries, but the level of tartness made this drink a "major fail". The infused coconut and cinnamon old fashioned drink lacked coconut and cinnamon flavor. I recommended to the Manager that they either fix the drink to match the description, remove it, or replace it with a smokey old-fashioned. 4. Everyone else at my table had the beef short ribs. They were seasoned well, but too lean which made it very dry. 5. The sides were a hit due to perfect seasoning and cooking! We had multiple sides like the potato latkes, mash potatoes and vegetable medley with squash. Overall, everyone agreed that we will go back and try it again. Stay tuned!

We enjoyed our experience, I am pleased. We were serviced quickly- there was so excessive wait to be seated nor was there an excessive wait after ordering to get our food. The servers were super nice and attentive. I liked my dish, everything was cooked well. We had to try their beignets which we didn’t really enjoy but this was already expressed to the restaurant. Everything we had was delish. Oh, please try their Mac and cheese - it wasn’t apart of my order but one of us ordered it and it was really tasty.

We tried the dinner before and absolutely loved it. So this time we want to try the brunch. However, it was a great disappointment. The scrambled egg is like the everyday dish you can cook at home. The chicken & waffle is really disappointing. The waffle is flavorless, and it is so crispy that it feels like eating cookies. And it’s kind of empty inside so you won’t get the normal waffle texture. Would not recommend ordering this as this is one of the worst waffles I have in my life. The crab cake Benedict is pretty yummy, same as the brûlée grapefruit. The only dish that lives up to their dinner standard!

The atmosphere is lively with a classic upscale bistro type vibe. The service was awesome - every employee from the front host/hostess to our waiter Isaac, to the people who came to deliver food/beverages or taking empty dishes away was friendly and provided a great experience. This was my first time but not the first for my party. The dishes were all phenomenal and we left absolutely stuffed. The two cocktails I had were a delight and I enjoyed every last drop. I look forward to coming back!

Founding Farmers was awesome. The restaurant gad a great vibe and the food had great flavor. The menu has everything from salads, seafood, chicken, steak and delicious desserts. There are a few locations around the DC metro area.

This was my first visit to FF and had very high expectations. Sadly it didn't live up to the hype. Went for a quick lunch. Ordered deviled eggs and tomato soup to start with. Deviled eggs were bland and lacked seasoning. Tomato soup felt like heated canned soup with toasted bread. The only savior was 4 cheese ravioli which was decent. I will definitely give another visit to try something different and then decide whether it's worth the drive and💲.

I remember coming to Founding Farmers in MoCo (our favorite location) when it just opened years ago. The wait was long despite having reservations, the restaurant was crowded, the conversations in the restaurant were loud and lively. And despite the wait, the crowd, the noise, we always had a great experience! The food is consistently good - perhaps less in quantity/volume than in previous years (only one small piece of chicken in chicken and waffles when they used to give two, or a bigger one piece), but still good! The beignets are still a delicious treat! And the eggs benedict with crab cake was so yummy! But enough about all this! Id like to talk about Cam, our server. She was attentive, anticipating what we might need or want and offering suggestions! We appreciate that quality! She came by our table frequently making sure we were happy. I even invited her to pull a seat so she could join us! Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, neat, attentive. Thank you for making our visit special, Cam!
