Great restaurant but Only one issue and it has nothing to do with the quality of the food or staff BUT IT DOES HAVE TO DO WITH THE SAFETY OF THEIR EMPLOYEES. You can see the picture I have posted with the staff head right behind the TV super exposed to all the radiations from back of the TV!!! It's a easy fix and I hope someone takes care of it before she gets a brain tumor. Great restaurant and an amazing themes especially if you have kids to bring them and show them some boats hanging from the ceiling. Food is great and staff are also friendly and attentive.

This is one of the best restaurants in Montgomery country.. not too many left due to The County Council .. I really enjoy the different rooms they have.. I will give you a warning there’s lot of senior Citizens that partake in meals at this location.. other then that it’s very nice place.. enjoy

We've often gone to Clyde's for Thanksgiving since there are several different eating habits. This was our first visit to the Rockville location. Our experience has usually been good. This was less than usual. I thought the traditional turkey plate was smaller than ever, mediocre, and at $42, decidedly not a bargain.

This was not my first time at Clyde’s and will not be my last. Every time I come here is with friends and or family. Each time is an amazing experience. The staff treat you like thier own family, the service is amazing and the food is spectacular. Clyde’s never disappoints.

The decor was lakeside/cabin like and it was awesome. The place is beautiful and the lighting made it even better. The food was amazing! My husband and I went for Thanksgiving. They had a Traditional Turkey Dinner, which is what I got and it was pretty good. My meal definitely felt like a home cooked meal rather than a restaurant meal. My husband ordered the New York Strip Steak and it was the best steak either of us had. The chef was just amazing! I only have two complaints and they are the reason for the four stars. My first complaint is where we got seated. We got seated near the bear and at first we were excited about this, but everyone wanted to stop and view the bear or take a picture with the bear, which was incredibly rude for the customers sitting in that spot being the bear is directly behind our booth not really a spot for others to be taking pictures. We just felt like we couldn’t enjoy our meal with the amount of people stopping for the bear. If you get seated there and see how close the bear is you’ll understand why it was a problem. The second complaint was the waiter. He was a great guy, but he would take off so fast we couldn’t really ask for anything and he really didn’t ask. When we got our check I wanted another beverage but we had paid already paid, but I was wanting another before he took our card and he took off so fast we couldn’t ask first. When he got back we just asked for the drink and said he could charge us separately, but he said he could revise the current one and we just said “do what is easiest”. Well, he didn’t do what was best for the customer because we got charged the first ticket before the added drink plus the ticket once the drink was added. They said the first pending charge should cancel within five business days and I really hope that is the case, because it seems just giving us two checks would have avoided the double charge and we wouldn’t have to wait for a large amount to go back to our card for 3-5 business days. He was a great guy but he just needs to slow down a bit and let the customers ask for things. I believe he asked us once if we were doing okay, but at the time we didn’t need a thing. Overall it was wonderful and I would try it again.

Stopped here for lunch while in the area. Service was friendly and food was good overall. We got the crab cake with fries which was good. We also tried the scallop dish we didn't enjoy that one to much. Place was rather pricey too but overall decent time.

Beautifully set up, riding lodge environment. Wry good service, delicious food and drinks. Rather than main courses, we ordered appetizers and dessert to share. Fresh oysters, yum! The crab dip was divine as was the sticky toffee cake. The salad and wings were nice, nothing out of the ordinary.

Got picky in-laws that complain about portion-size, price, taste, and ambiance? Take them here cuz they won’t complain. Never been able to take the family somewhere without them being upset about something. Clyde’s Tower Oaks is going to be our new annual tradition. The place is giant, everything was outstanding. Don’t miss the # crab and artichoke dip, shrimp fra diavolo if you like a little heat with your squid ink pasta, the giant porkchop, and pan roasted mussels with oyster happy hour for lunch time or dinner time. Other dishes that were enjoyed were the pan roasted icelandic cod, the sausage rigatoni but with shrimp, apple crumble for dessert, appetizer bread, and cocktails.

Wonderful atmosphere, it's clean and quirky. I love the woodsy hallway with the lights. Bar seating as well as tables. Honestly, it's a very dressed up Fridays. Pricey, but delicious food. Great service and nice drinks. I will definitely be returning.

Hidden gem in Rockville!! The food was out of this world, and service was the cherry on top, from the hostess to the server, the food runner, everything was just on point. They have different rooms with different ambiances, every detail was well maintained. I am definitely coming back, there a lot of things I wanted to try, each of them looking better than the other one!

I visited the restaurant today for lunch. Our server was friendly and helped us with all the questions we had. Clyde's is a restaurant that is a bit on the pricier side versus typical restaurants in the area. However, the food quality more than makes up for it. We started with the Mozzarella Arancini (Stuffed Rice Balls) appetizer. The appetizer was great: the cheese and rice combo with a slightly crisp outer layer shell brought the appetizer together. Next, we had the Rigatoni alla Norma and this pork sandwich that was stuffed with a good cut of meat with Parmesan Fries. They nailed the food for the entrées as well. The Rigatoni was freshly made. Portion was a bit on the smaller side for this, but it didn't bother me too much because we made this visit a three-course meal. The pork sandwich was a hit. Fries were awesome. Well crisped. Finally, we finished with dessert: Peanut Butter Pie and a pina colada seasonal cupcake. I loved the peanut butter pie. I didn't really try the cupcake, but I was told it was slightly too sweet. Overall, the experience was fantastic. Honestly, the managers, owner, and wait staff really did an awesome job. I can't wait to return again in a few more days to try some more food.

Pros: They certainly excel at atmosphere, eye candy to look at just about everywhere. From when you drive in at the gate ,to when you sit down . Service was ok. The food tasted good. Recommend the fried mozzarella with little bread sticks. Kid menu was usual kid stuff . Seem to have neat bar area . Cons: the sitting is comfy, but hard to get out of for the booths. They could use dusting pretty, pretty dusty. Front desk people were not very inviting. Prices are slightly high for what you get quality and amount wise. The steak I had was cooked well ,but kind of fatty. Parking is very tight. They put a lot of hope in their environment to justify the costs a little too much. All and all, I would recommend, mostly to experience once . But I wouldn't frequent there often. In fairness I've been there once and haven't given the whole restaurant a try. I'm Beef and that's where I was.

Ate here for a family celebration and it wasn't as good as our prior visit last fall (that was a 5, this visit was more of a 3). One of my most favorite things about our brunch was this delicious bread they provided previously. It had cinnamon, almost like a pound cake and was so memorable. Although other tables had it, we did not. I asked about it and was told they were out, but 15 min later I saw a server provide it to another table. Disappointing. My meal of French toast was lacking. It wasn't hot and it was supposed to have strawberry compote, instead it had one strawberry, cut in half. On the side bacon shared the plate (not cool for vegetarians). For $13, it's incredibly underwhelming. The burger my table ordered medium came out well done, however the rest of my family enjoyed their meal. The sausage and egg biscuit looked the best of any meal on the table with huge roasted potatoes. The highlight for me was the warm blueberry scones, you have to get it with the lemon butter, I'd go back just for that. The birthday sundaes were a very nice touch. It's a neat lodge atmosphere and I know my family enjoys it for special occasions. Sadly it just didn't hit the mark on our most recent visit but hoping it was a small blip.

The service and atmosphere here is always great, and the food is delicious! There was a mix up with one of our orders, so that’s why I’m putting 4 stars. But otherwise, such a fun place to eat! If you have a big group, I’d suggest making reservations ahead of time.

It's definitely got a unique atmosphere when you first walk in. Kind of like a hunting lodge meets a horse racing club. The calamari is crispy and well seasoned, it's pretty standard but good. The Parmesan trout is an interesting dish. The trout is fried and covered with Parmesan sauce. I've never had fried trout and it's done pretty well but honestly I still prefer baked or steamed trout. The prices are a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area as a heads up. The restaurant seems extremely popular and busy but I don't think the food is particularly mind blowing and worth driving an hour for. Nevertheless it was a good time hanging out and talking with friends in this setting.

It wasn’t my first time eating here and every time it’s perfect. Foods amazing and delicious. 😋 I would definitely recommend for appetizers the Mozzarella Arancini. They only have regular fountain minute-maid lemonade but they made it flavorful for me and added cherry flavor. The shrimp bowl was amazing 10/10. The homemade tiramisu was delicious, the caramel popcorn fits perfectly well with this dessert. I would highly recommend Clyde’s to friends, family and everyone else.

We had a Father's Day reservation. We were seated right away even though it was busy as expected. The decor of this place is so cool. We sat in a room I've never been in before so that was fun. The waitor was excellent, just a little slow for us to get items, but we expected it, it was a holiday so we just relaxed and enjoyed. The cinnamon rolls are an absolute must! You will never eat the refrigerated dough in the market ever again! The crab omelet was so good without being covered in sauce litter other places. For a party of four, appetizers, and drinks, I was surprised that the bill wasn't high at all.

Cute decor and really great service at the bar. Drinks are nice and strong. I ordered the fish tacos which were not the best to be honest. could have used more seasoning. Would go back to try other items from the menu perhaps

Wonderful food for sure , that was the best steak and frites I’ve had ever but unfortunately I can give the 5 stars. The reason is because of the service. This is the second time I come to this location and the service is unpleasant. The waiter had an unpleasant smell of cigarettes ,when he brought us the utensils he accidentally dropped the knife, instead of picking it up he simply kicked the knife towards the kitchen. I really wish the service gets better because the food and atmosphere are amazing.

Food was good, and dessert was even better. Our favorite dishes were the sea bass and the passion fruit cheesecake. If you like beer, try the thunder peel snake IPA. Fun place for gathering with a group. The restaurant theme and decor is a mix of classy and theme parky. Our service was pretty good.

I recently dined at this restaurant and had the double Jumbo crab cake with tartar sauce and fries, and it was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was fantastic, with unique decor on the walls and ceiling, including taxidermy animal heads and boats, creating a captivating ambiance. The desserts were delightful, and I must say, the drink selection was excellent as well. My only slight concern was that the double crab cake was a bit pricey for the portion size, so I'd recommend trying a single piece for a more budget-friendly option. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience.

My wife and I eat here about once a month. The atmosphere is great!...you feel like you are in a classy North Woods Lodge. The cocktails are excellent, but pricey. The 'Happy Hour' fresh shucked oysters are fantastic. Every meal that we've had here has been delicious.

BLUF: the main dinning area is a big, open, well decorated lodge environment which allows for no dissipation of sound. BUT the friendly service, excellent food and overall experience makes up for overly boisterous customers. Loads of space and no problem getting a table and our server Sean just made our evening. Polite and full of suggestions and recommendations. We got a dozen oysters on the half shell, a cup of crab bisque, and the ravioli and fried trout for dinner. We saved room for dessert too. Looking forward to returning to a truly top notch Clyde’s experience.

This place is pretty great. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The staff was attentive and extremely pleasant. The food was absolutely delicious. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the calamari, the breading was under seasoned and although the squid itself was cooked perfectly, they had weird vegetables in it as well. It was very bland and would have been good if they had seasoned it. Again, the random veggies were weird and didn't really add anything to it except now you had less calamari. I started with a drink, an Orchard Fizz, that was light, very yummy and had me feeling like fall was here. Then I had the cream of crab soup which much to my surprise and delight, had a very large scoop of lump crab meat right in the middle of a velvety broth. It was wonderful. My friend had the short ribs that he said we very good. I had the scallops which were cooked and seasoned to perfection. It includes what I think are plantains that look almost exactly like the scallops and at first I was disappointed because that means less scallops, but they paired perfectly with everything and really made the dish to be honest. The winter citrus was mild with just the right acidity to elevate the briny rich scallops and the greens added a brightness as well. The parsnip puree tied the whole thing together and the hazelnuts were an added treat. I can say this is one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. Although this place is a little on the pricey side to do everyday, it's perfect for a special occasion or a nice night out. I totally forgot to take pictures of the appetizers and we had started our entrees as well by the time I thought about it. I highly recommend this place

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary a few weeks. The food was delicious! Our waiter, Clifford, was very attentive and humorous. You could tell he was a hard worker. We look forward to going again!

We came here for our wedding anniversary. Overall it was an ok experience for the price. The service was fine and average. We ordered the oysters, crab & artichoke dips, pancakes and crab omelette. The oysters and crab & artichoke dips were good. The pancake was ok, nothing special and fancy about it. The crab omelette, however, was pretty disappointing. I never had crab omelette so I could be wrong, but it was not hot all, and rather very lukewarm. Some of the crab meat were even cold. If I ever come back again (not sure if I will honestly), I would not order the omelette again. Overall I’d say this is worth trying if you absolutely have been eyeing for awhile, but I couldn’t make it part of your regular/semi regular restaurant to visit.

This review was a challenge. 🤔For those of you who follow me, you know that I tell it like it is. So here goes.🫢 I arrived early to take advantage of happy hour which features $1 off each oyster. 🦪I'm an oyster fan and I've had them all over the country. Well, after sitting at the bar and watching the two bartenders tending to whatever they were tending to 🤷🏻‍♂️ (It's certainly wasn't the customers) granted the bar was not very busy but I literally had to flag one down to get service. And it's a good thing I did because they immediately ran out of oysters 🤦🏻‍♂️ Apparently they didn't get their full shipment for that day. Meanwhile I ordered a cocktail. Rather pricey I thought but hey it was a special day for me so I went for it. Eventually the oysters🦪 showed up. I was surprised it took so long considering they didn't have that many in the first place.🤷🏻‍♂️ What a disappointment! 😥 That is the most I have ever paid for the smallest oysters I have ever seen 👀 They were the size of a nickel!😲 After that disappointment I decided to have another overpriced cocktail. Now by overpriced I am taking into consideration the decor of the establishment, the location, and the service, Just not impressed 🫤 Maybe that's why there weren't too many people at the bar? Before moving on to dinner I stopped back at the bar to pay my tab. It was $60 for two drinks and six oysters! I didn't realize until the next day that I did not receive the advertised $1 off per oyster for happy hour 😑 Okay dinner. Here's where the service shined! Our waiter was super attentive and the restaurant was full, on a weekday! I truly had one of the best steaks I've ever had in this country! 🥩And it arrived unusually fast. Grilled to perfection just as I asked, medium. And don't let me forget the mushrooms🍄🍄. This is typically a must for me when ordering a steak. I get them everywhere. These were not the typical button mushrooms 🫣 Fresh locally grown shiitake mushrooms! This is an absolute must! Overall a wonderful dining experience. But really expensive 🤑, Compared to other parts of the country and higher end steak houses with a better atmosphere and servers wearing tuxedos. Maybe it's the area close to DC? I don't know. But $175 for two people to have 🍽️ dinner is certainly a bit out of my budget. I can't imagine what it cost for all the people in there with their kids 😬

I dine at Clyde’s fairly regularly and am always blown away by their incredible selection of oysters. As someone who loves these delectable mollusks, I can confidently say that this restaurant has some of the freshest and perfectly shucked oysters that I've ever had. Their selection is mainly sourced from the east coast of the US and Canada, but occasionally they have oysters from other locations as well. I am impressed by the variety of oysters on offer and appreciated the knowledgeable staff who were able to answer any questions I had about the different types. In addition to their standout oysters, the service at this restaurant was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations for wine pairings to go with our meal, which really elevated our dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves oysters. The quality and freshness of the oysters is unmatched, and the service is top-notch. Whether you're a seasoned oyster connoisseur or a newcomer to the world of oysters, this restaurant is sure to impress.

What an amazing venue to have a family dinner. We had appetizers drinks & dinner and everything was perfect. The Mussel appetizers were delicious, could go there and then for app and dinner!!! Mira our waitress was as very knowledgeable and gave the perfect suggestions. She made our night amazing.

Wonderful ambience for sure! Looks like a very pricey restaurant but it’s affordable. Service was little slow even for the oysters and other dishes. The food was excellent, the roasted fish is my personal favorite, it has burst of flavors and very well cooked up to the mark. Leaves a very pleasant and satisfied experience while leaving the place

Laid back chill spot. I had the lump crab cake sandwich with fries. The only thing I disliked was, the crab cake had shell pieces in it. So, be careful eating this sandwich. The bread that it is served on it pretty much cheap hamburger buns. It definitely was not the potato bread, at least it did not look like it. The prices went up. This meal use to be $18-$20. Fries were good, cole slaw need some flavor. The happy hour selection is very limited. They should update the happy hour selection and offer more drinks and food options like other restaurants in this area do. The complimentary corn bread was not good. My friends and I use to come here often back in the day. Before the Pandemic. We use to love this place. Overall, it was "ok." 3 stars because the quality has changed. Update: also tried the crab and artichoke dip, very good! Tried the vegetable empanadas, those are a BIG NO! Weird taste.. they should've use spinach instead of squash. They actually made my stomach ache 😩.

I visited this restaurant back in August with a friend for my birthday! Environment: We sat outside on their patio and it was a really nice experience. There was a koi pond and nice coverage from the sun. Everything was clean and nicely decorated (inside and outside). The had pretty string lights in the restaurant that we (and other people) took pictures with. Customer Service: The waiter was super nice! Both of us had dietary restrictions and he was helpful in showing us what our individual options were. I wish I remembered his name cause he was great! Food: The food was delicious! I loved the variety of raw oysters they had available. Hands down my favorite part of the meal was when the server brought me sorbet with a candle. I really appreciated that! I also got blackened salmon - which was good but so small. I expected the portions to be larger for entrees and was still hungry after it. I wanted to get rice but, unfortunately, it contained some type of milk product that could not be removed so I left a bit hungry. However, the server was kind and apologetic about the lack of options. Overall, it was a really nice restaurant with great service. I highly recommend this to people without dietary restrictions but caution those that have them. Check with the restaurant before you go to see if they can adequately accommodate you!

This restaurant is amazing. The food was delicious and the ambiance was awesome in addition to a great service. It's a big restaurant so I guess it won't be hard to get reservations. I love this restaurant and totally recommend it.

Clyde’s has a good ambiance and staff and great good choices. I always come here for the phenomenal service, great servers that have great attention to detail and an overall dining experience that is exceptional cuisine. I tired the pan roasted rockfish added a side of mac and cheese, delicious. I will return!
