I bought $60 of pastries at Sofra today. My first visit. The praline pecan croissant was very tasty, but the 3 rhubarb pastry were not proofed properly and unfortunately had an undercooked dough. I bought 3 of these at $5 per, so not very happy about spending $15 on uncooked pastry. Do you see the condensed mass of dough. This is supposed to be fluffy and cooked on the bottom. Whoever is in charge of this pastry doesn’t know how to make this.

It's so worth the wait! Just join the line then enjoy the superb preparation and original creations that give Sofra an intercontinental reputation. Better than Europe but with plastic spoons.

Food is really flavorful and the quality of the baked goods is notable. The space for customers is somewhat small or primarily intended as a place for takeaway given that there maybe 20 seats inside total and the line to order and wait isn’t clear. The baked good selection was smaller than I expected relative to the number of plated dish options for the cafe portion. The latte and coffees are good but not very hot. It’s a somewhat pricier bakery with moderate-to-small portions in an okay location. I would not recommend this bakery to large groups looking to sit down. I would recommend visiting in the nice weather and getting food to eat outside. The seating or flow of the order line could be improved by reducing some of the shopping space with goods that most people didn’t appear to be purchasing.

Packed when we went with limited seating. Food can be described as a modern interpretation of traditional Turkish breakfast food. It was incredibly innovative and delicious! The cinnamon bun had date in it and the frosting was still nice and runny. Very fresh food!

Yeaaaa just give them your money and wait in excitement for the culinary masterpieces to roll out, esp. the whipped feta, either of the shawarmas, lamb is divine!

One of the best, if not the best Turkish Bakery in the States. I am jealous of Bostonians since I flew all the way from LA for these goodies. Love the Turkish breakfast and with no exceptions all the baked stuffs

Small place, but clean & nice setting. It could be hard eating inside because of the limited seats. They have the outdoor dinning setting and it's a nice place having things to go or eating outside if the weather is good. Their egg sandwich is a big pricy but definitely the best by far. Their pastries and cookies are really good at texture and flavor. I definitely will go and grab the pastries very often.

A great small bakery with delicious treats. Eat in or take out and enjoy. We had the Turkish breakfast which was small but yummy. Coffee was very good as well

Great cafe with great baked goods and treats - I got 3 pieces of walnut baklava, a Turkish coffee and a lamb shawarma, all were so good. The shawarma was hot and fresh with red onions and hummus, a fantastic snack. It's cozy on the inside but the large windows offer a nice panorama of the intersection ahead.

The Turkish breakfast came without a pita. The flavors were too intense without a pita. We had to ask for a pita and were charged for it. The pancakes were far too salty and undercooked. The portions were all really small. Positives: The staff is very kind and friendly and the iced chai is great.

Sofra Bakery & Cafe never ceases to impress with its delectable array of dishes, a primary reason my visits have become a delightful routine. The culinary finesse here is evident in every bite, marrying both taste and visual appeal in a way that's genuinely captivating. Their unique fusion of flavors and the sheer artistry in presentation make each meal not just a dining experience but a feast for the senses. However, it's important to note a few areas that need improvement. The quaint size of the restaurant often leads to longer wait times, especially during peak hours. While the cozy ambiance is charming, it does sometimes impact the overall experience. Moreover, the service can be hit-or-miss. Instances of receiving the wrong order or finding out that desired menu items are no longer available have been minor setbacks in what would otherwise be a flawless experience. In summary, Sofra Bakery & Cafe is a gem for those who appreciate culinary artistry, but be prepared for a bit of a wait and some service hiccups. Despite these issues, the exceptional quality of the food makes it a place I keep returning to, eager for the next delightful dish they serve. Four stars.

What an incredible place. The baked goods are incredible and the food is unfairly high quality. It's a little cramped in there and the shaded outdoor seating is usually taken but it's worth it!

Delicious Mediterranean meals, pastries & other baked goods! It's a small place, but very cute. I went with the Turkish-Style Breakfast with a nice cup of joe. It def hit the spot! Everything tasted so fresh.

Must visit if you are nearby and crave for some middle eastern cuisine. On a visit to mount auburn cemetery which itself is a great visit with so much to offer chanced upon this little delight of a bakery Sofra. Their halwa and biscuits/cookie is delicious too.

There are too many delicious options to choose from, plus the staff is very friendly despite being so busy. We went on a Sunday morning and it was very crowded, so you have to be prepared for a long line, but it's worth it. Everything is so good. We ordered shakshuka, turkish style breakfast, simit and turkish au lait. Everything was great!

You can get breakfast and your lunch/brunch at this place. They have great pastries and sweets along with savory pita wraps. They also have a little grocery that sells spices, teas, and even cookbooks. The outdoor seating is a little cramped but it's also a nice place to take out. Even on a Sunday morning the wait wasn't too long. They keep things moving.

A delicious assortment of savory and sweet Middle Eastern food prepared in approachable formats. Lots of wonderful flavors and textures to experience here. Good staff, though overwhelmed at times with how busy it can get. Be patient and be nice. They also have a few items to buy for your own kitchen (find a spice you've never heard of and bring it home!) As well as a refrigerated case for grab and go items.
