Traditionally, Vietnamese tea drinking is considered a hobby of the older, more learned members in households and in society in general. Tea drinking would accompany aristocratic activities such as composing poems, tending flowers, or simply appreciating nature. Vietnamese people generally favor lighter teas with flower fragrance, such as green tea or floral-scented white tea. Vietnamese teas are produced in many areas that have been known for tea-house "retreats". Vietnam has the world's oldest trees, dating back to 1000 years.[1]

One of the best tea drinking experiences I've ever experienced! I've been to Korea, Japan and China and tasted the best of the best. To that end,the quality of tea here is the definitely some of the best in Asia from what I've experienced. The tea is grown locally and roasted just across the street. The hospitality of the indigenous staff and knowledge of local customs, flora/fauna make this a must stop on any journey in the Vietnamese Highlands.

It was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Mr. Son is a person with a huge heart who puts all his effort into the cause. What cause? Helping ethnic minorities by supporting sustainable traditional tea cultivation to benefit the environment and protect people's labor. I stayed there about 2 weeks and from the first minute I felt at home. At the Tea House I left a little piece of my heart. If you want to discover more about tea, helping others and growing emotionally, this project is for you. Bye Mr. Son, thank you for everything. Bye guys and children. I wish you the best. I will miss you very much.

Amazing tea, great place to enjoy the locally harvested and produced tea. It is located in a beautiful area. The people are so friendly and hospitable. If you are going past take a break. Or, if you can spare a day, ask about going on a tour to learn about the local tribes and their tea habit and spend a night at the hotel. Highly recommended!:)

Amazing people + Amazing place = Amazing Experience. Make sure you take the tour up to the village where the people grows the tea. There are 2 different routes, one with paved roads and the other for the adventurous type. ( We rode up a mountain in 1st gear the whole time for about an hour + had a picnic with a scenic view) Hike through the jungle, swim by a waterfall, and trek along a river back down the mountain. San is an awesome person and creating a great community! Wish I can go back and visit everyone soon!

My friends and I just stopped by as we were driving along and I’m so glad we found this gem! We were offered tea and so much hospitality, I was amazed! This place is really unique and it seems like them are really doing great things for smaller communities here. Son (not sure if I’m spelling that correctly) was so kind and invited us to try the different teas and even invited us to join them for lunch. My friends and I had such a pleasant experience here, I cannot recommend this place enough. You should definitely stop by and see what they are all about! ☺️

Perfect gateway to learn about Ha Giang province and find out about fascinating tea making process. We stayed there for over a week and managed to learn so much about the culture and region. This places gives an opportunity to the young people from the nearby villages to practise their English and become a tour guide. The location itself is very peaceful and gives you a chance to discover what the region has to offer. Thank you so much for hosting us. We will definitely be back soon.

I stayed in the tea house for more than a week and overall I had a nice experience. I have met lots of volunteers and we have learned different things about tea. I went tea picking once, watched how to process tea and taught English to young students and little kids from the village. If you like structured plans, this is not the place for you. If you like flexibility and are willing to give your independent contribution to anything you are asked to do, then come and visit the tea house.
