    We were greeted warmly by front desk staff member, Alisa. She was knowledgeable and provided us with useful information about booking for a second night. Alisa was at the desk when we checked-out as well - she was helpful and explained the charges clearly. Alisa is a great member of your team. We were also impressed by the bell hop on duty Sunday afternoon when we departed at approximately 3:30pm - He was a young man from Shanghai whose English was exceptional. he was friendly and exceptionally helpful. We found the extra touches by the housekeeping staff very helpful - our room was regularly freshened when we were out - so it was always convenient. This was the luxury we were looking for - thank you!

    The Horizon Club is so wonderful, clean, comfortable and amazing services. And many thanks to the Front Desk Sandra, she really helps me a lot and so kind to help me figure out the best places nearby for shopping with my family and friends in this special Spring Holiday Vocation. It is such a wonderful trip for my family.

    We celebrated our first wedding anniversary with two nights at the Shangri-La Jing An. It was an amazing experience. Our room exceeded expectations. The champagne and flowers in the room, along with the beautiful cake made it extra special. Our dinner at 1515 West was superb. The restaurant and bar staff went above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience. I appreciate that the hotel staff was made aware our of special occasion and we received several greetings and anniversary wishes during our stay. This personal touch made our time at the Shangri-La extra special. We will definitely return for what we hope will be many anniversaries in the future.

    I share very fond memories of this hotel as we stay here regularly. The last time I came here was right before Covid. More than 4 years have passed since then it was a special moment to visit my family in Shanghai and staying at the Shangri La again: It felt like coming home. The breakfast is still at a high level, though many dishes that were available in the past in the club lounge (salmon steak) are now gone. This is a bit unfortunate. The afternoon tea and canapés in the evening are still very enjoyable. The staff, particularly on the 55 floor are extremely welcoming and helpful. The gym is one of the best I have ever used. Also the SPA and pool facilities were top notch and clean. I am looking forward to my next visit to Shanghai already.

    This is one of the best Shangri-La I’ve stayed at in the world not gonna lie. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable and my whole family loved it. The rooms were fantastic. We got one of the corner rooms and the view of Shanghai was just breathtaking from my room. Rooms were clean and luxury. Service is fast and efficient. Friendly staff. Honestly nothing to complain about this magnificent hotel. It truly made my trip to China one of the most memorable one in my life.

    Had a near perfect stay with a great room with a view. Staff were mostly wonderful and courteous, with the exception of one concierge, when asked how to access the next building, he was so reluctant to provide information! The least helpful person during my entire stay! He should have his pin removed. Since he was the exception, I decided not to knock off a ⭐ from the review.

    Recognition Note I would like to recognize Coco Li/ Executive Lounge Service Staff for her outstanding professional performance. There was a time at breakfast hour where a hotel guest picked up a croissant from the basket with bare hands, only to inspect it and put it back. Coco Li collectedly followed up and replaced the entire basket without any commotion. I was sitting at the table next to the counter and witnessed the incident. It was most impressive that Coco Li showed tolerance for that individual guest's impolite and unsanitary behavior while handling the contaminated food items promptly in order to maintain other guests' health & safety. That was excellent crisis management and evidence of Shangri-La's superiority. Well deserved of a heartfelt recognition! Din Shin Shyu Room #5831, 12/20/2021 to 1/13/2022

    The team were simply amazing, Eason at the front reception helped in everyway possible, he guided us with information on courier, weighing our luggage and anything else we required. The team at the breakfast counter were outstanding. Our house keeper Rebecca was simply wonderful. Great team demonstrated great service all through our stay over 7 days. A great place to recommend, simply amazing facility and the staff are so nice, great to see such hospitality still going on strong and customers being valued. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

    1. Location : near metro station Jing’An Temple 静安寺站. Many malls nearby. Can walk or cycle around. 2. Room : clean and tidy. Nice view. 3. Service : excellent. Helpful front office staffs and bell boy. 4. Food : breakfast serve local and western food. Good qualities with many varieties. Friendly and helpful chefs at the different food stations as well as service staffs. No need queue for the food, once you order at the stations and they will serve to your table.

    Overall it’s located in a very convenient and central area. Hotel bellman is very helpful and professional. However front desk team are friendly but not too professional. I don’t know how to describe it, they just don’t look that professional to me. The way they speak, the way they dress, the demeanour and so on, really don’t meet my expectation of Shangri-La. When they check us in, a group of them come, I don’t know why we need 3 team members to do this job, and they kind of gossip and check you from head to toe. Anyway, even the the front desk counter doesn’t look like a five-star hotel one, a Holiday Inn front desk counter looks better. Just my honest opinion. Room is great, nice view of city, bathroom is very spacious. Bed is very comfortable to sleep. We enjoy everything here except the check in process.

    Fantastic customer service. It feels like home away from home. The staff is fantastic and the rooms and facilities are always so nice and comfortable! I go to Shanghai quite often for business and I always choose to stay at Shangri La, even though we have corporate agreements with other hotels. Manager Li was super attentive and the staff at breakfast is particularly friendly. Love it!

    We understand the hotel is very busy. But because we are the Jade Member, we even have to wait to check in when we arrive at 5:00pm waiting for the room. Further, house keeping came in suddenly which I only experienced in this hotel. Hotel has been nice to offered for extra amenity which we can go to the lounge for such convenience. However, the room has always been great and comfortable. The bed is really nice. We understand the whole issues are due too many people for the holiday season. but we should address it for further training and education.

    From the booking to the check out, it was an amazing experience. This hotel goes over your expectations concerning the quality of the beds, restaurants and the professionnalism of the staff. They anticipate your needs with a 24/7 smile that make you feel at home. The facilities are in an excellent condition. I was told this hotel is among the best hotel in Shanghai. I would say that based on the ideal location of the venue, it is the best.

    This is a great property and very conveniently located. The rooms and amenities were great with great city views! The staff is friendly however explaining in English to housekeeping or room service is a challenge. I also had to call and remind housekeeping each day about having my room cleaned and it would be done post 4pm or 5pm which was frustrating. There need to be more vegetarian choices on the lunch buffet at the cafe.

    The public bathrooms in the toilet are old and broken. My guest went to use it, and the lock was broken so the door wouldn't close properly. Someone tried to open the door while they were inside the bathroom, it was very embarrassing. At breakfast, the staff kept bothering us to put our mask on, while so many guests were walking around with no masks when getting their food. The manager was more concerned about masks, but there was some food at breakfast that was all gone even though the breakfast time wasn't over yet. The selection of food was also very small compared to other major hotels in Shanghai. It took a long time to get seated at a table, and the staff looked confused and disorganized.
