The pizzas were amazing. And their homemade ranch sauce was even more delicious. We tried BBQ ranch chicken and make your own veggie pizza. Both Sicilian style and we literally had to fight for who's going to eat the last piece.

It is known for its "slice of pizza", tell me why their slices are old, tastes like cardboard, and the toppings are very scarce!! Besides being old slices of pizza, they don't warm them up for you, so they are a bit cold. Will definitely skip this place from now on!!! Added extra pepper flakes hoping it would have some kind of taste.

Upper crust is an Old School original pizza place. Good service, large menu & an exclusive pizza menu. We got a slice of the original meat combo, buffalo wings with bleu-cheese sauce & A Sierra Nevada Draft Large portions, Very filling Easy parking in lot in back Located on Westside off of Mission near the rail trail, a few popular breweries & a remodeled Watering Hole next door Not far from the beach & a good family place to eat together or stop in for lunch

We got a thin crust Margarita pizza. It was very good. 😋 The staff was friendly and our food came out pretty quickly. We were hungry and forgot to take a picture when it first came out. 😅 Highly recommend this place. We will be going back before we leave.

Whenever I'm in Santa Cruz I try to stop here. Pizza is delicious! Staff is nice. Bathrooms are clean. Really all you need to know. Check them out if you are in the neighborhood.

What kind of person does not like pizza? A weirdough! 😂😂 I love a good square pizza and I found a restaurant that serves it next to the beach. I got the Original meat combo, which has Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers. The crust is thick, but not like Chicago deep dish, but still thick. For dessert, I got the Sicilian cannoli, which is a crisp pastry shell piped full of sweet creamy filling, topped with chocolate chips and dusted with powdered sugar. It was crunchy and sweet, the chocolate was bittersweet. I wish I would have went on a Tuesday for dinner because they have an all you can eat option from 5pm to 9pm. @uppercrustsantacruz 📍 Upper Crust - Mission St. , Santa Cruz, CA.

Service was good but pizzas were not easy to eat. Dough was dry, tomato sauce was not sauce it tasted like canned tomato paste and the cheese was not real cheese. We ordered 2 large pizza and could not eat it.

The folks who work here are pleasant, kind and efficient. Unfortunately, the pizza was less than amazing. Not bad, just not something I see myself wanting again. Of course, I didn't try all the options, so perhaps there's something that would hit it out if the park. My kids did not like how 'runny' the cheese was on their pizza. Also, being kids, they didn't like the thicker pizza crust and the fact that it's served cut in squares. But that's just kids for ya. Perfectly fine place for a quick slice of pizza that will fill you up, but if taste is what you're looking for, perhaps look a little more.

We absolutely loved the Sicilian pizza - was phenomenal- from people who have sampled the best of NYC and surrounding areas. Young woman who was taking our order was lovely.

What a great discovery, We had excellent service. The server gave us a wonderful lesson on some brew. We had a great time. The pizza was so good. This pizza is in my top ten.

Food preparation is super super slow. We arrived at noon as the first group, and waited 40 minutes for the simple pepperoni pizza after placing our order. 18% gratuity enforced, so the waitress didn't even bother to provide any service beyond minimal. The waitress didn't get our water refilled for even once.

Despite all the great reviews, it was very disappointing to get a pizza with undone crust and lacking taste. Looks okay, vegetable toppings are okay (overloaded black olives) and they put different toppings from the order. There was hardly any taste, Sicilian crust was undone except for the edges. Gooey dough with melted cheese tasting yeast with hardly any sauce/taste. Overall it is a bad experience. Hope they pay attention and serve well done tasty pizza.

We order from Uppercrust frequently for delivery and have always had great food and friendly delivery drivers. Today was the first time we have come in for dine in and we don’t plan to again. The woman who took our order today around 3 o’clock was visibly and audibly rude and annoyed with us from the start. Brown hair, highlights, acrylic nails - I believe I heard someone call her Sarah. We were kind from the moment we walked in and she was still short with us during every interaction. During the ordering process she asked snippy questions, making a point to let me know ordering a “regular drink” was incorrect and that it is called a “fountain drink.” When she asked me to remove my card from the reader I said that the screen was telling me to please wait. She sighed loudly and started tapping her fingernails on the counter. She loudly sat the plates down at the table and didn’t say anything, when she delivered the pizza to the table she also didn’t say anything to us. The worst part is that she was incredibly nice to every other person who came in and we don’t understand why. We have loved this place for years and it’s super disheartening to be treated that poorly for no reason.

Fantastic food and service. We had 4 pieces left to take home, however we forgot them at the restaurant...we went back 3 hours later hoping for the best...and though they had been thrown out, our wonderful waitress gave us 4 new pieces to take with us....Fantastic gesture.

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and it had a funky taste and smell to it. I didn’t think much of it until I got sick. My total was $51.45 for two pizzas. I was looking forward to trying this place but I no longer think it’s worth the money or the sickness.

This place has great reviews and the only thing I can conclude is that nobody in the area knows good pizza. We got their square pizza and it tasted like a cheap frozen pizza from the grocery store. The restaurant itself was fine but the bathrooms were not in good order.

I've been here so many times, last time was a few years ago so I can't speak to quality now, but would come here with friends and family growing up because we loved the Sicilian style pizza, and it was casual and comfortable. This pizza is probably the reason I prefer a thick crust today. I appreciate the by the slice option too (IMO every pizza place should have that) and definitely did when I was looking for good lunch for a few bucks.

We love Mission St Upper Crust! The food is great! I find it really hard to find a great pasta sauce when we go out, but I found it here! And the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you like Italian comfort food and/or pizza this place is the best! We come here at least once a week!

Not a good experience. I was never given a receipt and asked to tip before I received my food. This is a prepay situation now. I ordered gluten free pizza with Italian sausage. The girl at the register said it wasn't Italian sausage (just regular sausage) and changed her mind when I showed her the menu. It was not Italian sausage. I ordered a Harvest salad for 8.95 (paid for in advance) and the server brought me the 7.95 salad. It took about 40 minutes to get the pizzas, and I asked for to go boxes. I paid .85 with tax for a smidgeon of ranch. I had to remind the server to bring my ranch before I left. The male server said "free salad" when I asked for what I paid for. This restaurant used to have good waiters and waitresses, but something went haywire. The pizza was good but took forever to receive. What I paid for is not what I received and I had to be a squeaky wheel to get what I ordered. Way too expensive for pizza. No mas! for me.

Pepperoni Pizza was just ok, salad was average and the muffuletta was dry and lacked flavor. The employees were friendly but unfortunately the food is not worth going back for.
