Even though I didn’t buy a car here, I checked this place out during Monterey car week. They had a few Porsche 959s, a Mclaren P1 GTR, and a racing museum with several cool race cars like the Gulf Porsche 917K, and Dale Earnheart Sr’s Monte Carlo SS. The Fuel Run car rally was aslo at Canepa when I was there which made the experience even better.

I visited Canepa dieing a road trip after it was suggested to me by my Porsche mechanic in Orange County. I was surprised to find out that all of the vehicles on display are for sale. Each vehicle has a tag attached to it containing the history of the vehicle and ownership. There is also a racing museum upstairs.which includes F1 cars and a catwalk where one can observe the mechanics working on the various Porsches and Ferraris. If ever in Santa Cruz and interested in Porsches, I recommend stopping by Canepa for the wow factor. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience for a Porsche fan, or any motorsport fan for that matter. A Fantastic selection of cars to see, between those for sale, the museum and then the workshop. They were very welcoming and friendly.

Hidden gem, friendly people and amazing cars on display and being restored and repaired. Do not recommend bringing kids unless they are very well behaved.

Wow!... Let me rephrase that, WOWwww!! Kid in the candy store does not give you and honest feel for what this place is does and has a reputation for. First of all let's start with the owner he's been racing Porsches since he was old enough to drive. Having a passion for Porsche means that they will have a lot of Porsches in here.. but wait did I mention to 959 you know that poster you had in your bedroom with a kid read with a Spanish style house 959 parked outside? Yeah so the 959 was illegal to own the roads and these guys help bring it to the US. Beyond that they have modified the Porsche to modernize it and essentially keep it running. I don't know how many there are out there I believe under 350, suffice it to say that I on my visit, saw no less than 7 Porsche 959s. In fact, Porsche now allows these guys to badge these cars when modified, with their Porsche badge!! In fact, they, Porsche even comes to these guys for help when they can't solve the problem on a 959 that they have in the world. This could wrap up this review right now and be sufficient to mark this place as he must go to but wait there's more... You can go on most any weekday or any Saturday and you the museum which is two floors. On the first floor you have cars that are for sale anything from $60,000 upwards of 10 million dollars. From a Porsche that is one of four in the whole world to Ferraris, mercedes-benz's, BMWs, Austin-Healey, and most things in-between including cobras. Upstairs you'll find the racing Museum where you'll see 914 s 917 964, 934, 952 and a whole host of Indy champ Open Wheel Dragsters and other cars. I was fortunate enough to go through the shop on the store we're not one drop of oil is on the floor where every single tool is arranged neatly on the workbenches where work is put in Ziploc bags and labeled neatly simply this is a place where you can see all the cars you wished for in real life go go go go go!!!! Need I say more?

Canepa is simply a splendid experience for anyone with knowledge of vintage racing or for the car enthusiast! Downstairs is a showroom of vehicles ranging from vintage Porsches to modern day super cars. Upstairs is a museum featuring iconic Indy, NASCAR and LeMans vehicles spanning different generations.

It is a private collective and show. Thanks to the owners’ contribution. My son loves it very much.

I was absolutely astonished when I saw 1 of only 106 McLaren speedtails sitting in the showroom of this beautiful museum and better yet, sat right next to it was an astounding 1 of only 56 McLaren p1 gtr’s! I was so suprised to see these beautiful cars right across from my house! Wonderful!

Super impressed that they were open on the long Thanksgiving weekend. Always a great selection and range of cars (and a Toyota FJ) on display and for sale.

First time seeing Canepa Motorsports and I was impressed. If you love Porsches, you will really enjoy the collection of race cars and modified street cars. Plus they have a bunch of other exotic and classic cars. I've never seen this many 959s in one place. I really dig the 959SC as well for all those for whom the original was too tame. I think the car I wanted to take home the most was Bruce's 934.5 in blue. Fantastic collection! Encourages me to work harder so I can own finer toys.

A large collection of very cool cars including several Canepa custom built vehicles. The racing museum upstairs included a couple one of a kind vehicles. The catwalk overlooking the shop provided an amazing view of many in process cars.

Tried to work a deal out for a car in their showroom while selling another car. Once some of the terms of the agreement changed, they became unresponsive & will not clarify any details on purchasing the car. On top of that. Bruce requested a non-refundable deposit on the car which is illegal in the state of California.

If you have the cash Bruce makes dreams come true. I really enjoy the “Sports Car Museum” (not sure what the folks who work there call it) in the front of the building Mr. Canepa displays a variety of Import and Domestic vehicles ranging from Showroom stock to full race, exotics as well! Worth a visit for sure.

Well worth the hour and a half trip, they had a P1 GTR, 2 Carerras, a GT and much more!

Don’t miss an opportunity to visit. Thank you Mr. Canepa for opening your doors to us. The museum upstairs was crazy amazing! The workshop was double amazing! Is it possible that you had three 959s in there??? The show stopper was the main floor sales area. I never dreamed I’d see some of the cars you had there! I’m a Porsche guy. The Carrera GTs (yes, 2 of them) were my favorite but the whole collection blew me away. Thank you again for allowing the public to see your collection!!!
