Dar Antonia

Hotel

😠 This hotel is to be avoided ABSOLUTELY. We arrived today, first night no water in the room, neither in the sink nor in the shower. The owner does not care about the customers, he assures that it is not his problem, that it depends on the state. Does not offer a reduced rate, and asks us to go showe... People often mention room, hotel, beautiful, water, rooms, breakfast, stay, staff,

This hotel is to be avoided ABSOLUTELY. We arrived today, first night no water in the room, neither in the sink nor in the shower. The owner does not care about the customers, he assures that it is not his problem, that it depends on the state. Does not offer a reduced rate, and asks us to go shower in the room of our friends who have water. ZERO customer service, to avoid urgently, you know what to expect if you have any problems in this "supposed" 4 star hotel...

The place is fine, the rooms are below average, the couches inside the rooms are dirty (not just in our room) the walls needs a repaint job, a broken mirror sink, bathroom door not practical and the water leaked outside. nothing authentic about the breakfast and barely acceptable with very tiny portions. It is too expensive for its condition. I'd like to visit again to try the restaurant but thats it

Really, really beautiful guest house in Sousse. It's a new accommodation and they keep rooms and shared spaces in immaculate condition. I really enjoyed my stay at Dar Antonia and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sousse.

The places looks classical and sweet, yet the prices are high. Why would I pay 2.5DT for a cup of tea ( Just a cup of tea with some mint )

Beautifully designed and exquisitely decorated place with personal touches throughout. Attentive staff, relaxed and quiet. Somewhat ironic though, that even though restaurants close early, you’re not allowed to eat in the large rooms - which are equipped with tables and chairs - but are asked to sit outdoors in the cold.

I tried to cancel it three months in advance because the flight we had next day was cancelled. They don't return the money.

Definitely one of the best hotels we stayed in so far in Tunusia. The staff was friendly the rooms were clean and it just makes you feel like you are in an authentic house. Highly recommended. The rooftop is amazing btw.

This place is amazing; stayed here in August 2022. An oasis of good taste and comfort. The owner did an amazing job. And on top of that the food served here has been on par with any European gastropub.

I had a choice to stay in a big resort on the beach but chose to stay here and happy I made that choice. Rooms, food, and location were great but what really made this place special were the helpful, friendly, and wonderful staff. Thank you for a fantastic stay :) Aichik Fadi

5 stars for the staff. For their beautiful smile, effort, hard work and kindness. Overpriced and overrated place. Cons: Lack of maintenance on the room facilities. Creaking doors, rusty and leaking shower, lack of power outlets. No mini bar to keep your water cold in 40+C weather. Pros: Staff, location, breakfast was amazing. Rooftop is stunningly decorated.

we tried the restaurant, and yes we really appreciated absolutely brilliant Starters, main and dessert, all three impeccable in a magical setting of a refined and revisited Arab-Andalusian patio, possibility of a rooftop also with a magnificent view on the Medina of Sousse International clientele, tight menu, including wines, but it's just sublime Well done !!

The place is truly beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. The restaurant is also top notch. It was so good we had to eat there three nights in a row!

Very disappointing experience ! Didn’t understand the high rating reflects what ? I did find an excellent service provided by Marwa alone. The rest is not enough for the value ( I would recommend this place for backpackers)

The stay here was very lovely, every bit of the hotel is beautiful done. Marlo was fantastic, really helpful in every way and made myself and my partner feel at home. We stayed in the executive suite, it was beautiful decorated. Location was great too, could step right into the medina.

Authentic experience in the heart of the old town. Friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend it. The breakfast is good as well. However there is no parking close to the hotel as stated in the booking. We had to park down in the main street next to the petrol station outside of the old town (3-4 min walk). The bathroom in our room didn’t have a door and it was weird, also the water pressure in the shower is too low and takes very long time to get warm water.

This place was such a lovely experience. The rooftop is the perfect spot to drink a bottle of wine and the rooms couldn’t be more comfortable. The breakfast was a real highlight.

Truly unique. Unrivalled hospitality. A lovely taste of traditional Sousse. The host is extremely welcoming and went out of his way to make our stay pleasant and enjoyable.

This is the one of the best hotels in the area. The owner called and picked us up from the train station and give us a ride to the hotel which is in the center in the old wall part of the city. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and where to go. The owner really goes out of his way to show design and lifestyle at this beautiful boutique hotel. The breakfast is amazing, local, and fresh. The owner also talks great English and very personable. Each room is designed differently so you get to pick, I like the one on the second floor with a in room a hot tub. Don’t forget to climb all the way to the rooftop for one of the many azan prayers or as sunset drops onto the city.
