Would not in any way recommend this hotel, not sure if it even deservers three out of the five stars it claims. The building itself was not bad, but was obviously maintained poorly for the last decade. The rooms decently clean, but every day it is a mystery if you will have the normal commodities - some days you may have towels, some not, water will possibly be provided, etc. The food was decent, but with zero variety from day to day. The staff needs to be tipped at the start of your meal, in order to have a chance to receive napkins, salt, pepper or water, but still not guaranteed. The alcohol, even if they happen to have what you want, is in a bottle without a label and extremely watered down. The air-conditioning in the whole hotel (except the rooms) is never on. Staff does not properly speak English and it is almost impossible to get what you want, even if you pay for it outside of the included things.

Not the best. I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think it deserves 5 stars, to be honest. It took us hours just to check in. They charged us differently than what was on booking. I understand it's high season, but the hotel was at capacity and should've just managed it better. They didn't have enough amenities in the rooms, and they weren't cleaned properly. The only plus was the very helpful but super overwhelmed staff member, Mr. hicham and Mr Ali, on reception were very good, but I still think you should have more staff and not come in high season. Also, paying per person, not per room, is crazy! I expected better quality for the price and the 5-star status.

We rested in this hotel in August, but only now, looking at the photos, I got around to writing a review. There are no 5 stars here. We arrived at the hotel at 3 am, there was only one person at the reception who lost the keys, and he settled the whole group for 3 hours. Then we went to the beach, everything was destroyed there (as we were later told there was a hurricane at night). Never stand in line for food from the grill, they do not know how to make it, the photo shows when you call the manager, he says “yes, everything is fine” (because he does not know English). There are cockroaches in the rooms. The food is monotonous and the whole rest you will eat the same thing. Some sellers who walk along the beach are also enraged and are very persistent, especially the seller with scarves. The beach is gorgeous, the territory is also beautiful. Everything else is a complete nightmare. I do not recommend this hotel to visit. If you do not hire a new manager and cooks for the season, this will be another fiasco.

Beautiful hotel, the beach and pool area are fantastic 😍 Airport i right across the street and we checked in within a minute of arriving. Our room was clean, new towels and sheets every day, ac was working properly, it was cold in the room. Only one thing we didnt like and it was food, but we were never hungry. Great vacation!

Very disappointing experience and wished I had red the reviews on google earlier . Very passive staff ,cleanliness of the hotel and their facilities like the indoor pool was off putting.Food cold and not cooked properly.Lift wasn’t working and we were on 4th floor with much luggage. Taxis around hotel will charge you more just so you know . Also ,overpriced Spa ,booked 40 minutes full body massage which lasted only 25’. I recommend to stay in any other hotel which is on the same beach so at least you have the view but avoid this one unless you want to waste your money .

They deleted my review!!! I was in this hotel in July 2022. There were ants everywhere in our room!!! The food is disgusting! Terrible smell throughout the hotel. Old repair, dirty corridors, dirty rooms, air conditioners do not work. The staff is rude. don't believe the advertisements foto. This is a lie! Close this hotel! It's a shame!

I will tell you my experience in this hotel.. it is never really 5 stars.. on the first day we arrived at 7am and we could only check in at 3pm.. they didn't even give us towels to go to the pool.. the food is every day same .. there is no variety or quality .. on the 3rd day one of the employees stole my slippers .. I spent 3 hours of my stay talking to the manager to go see the cameras and when I did .. we saw that the slippers were stolen by an employee.. on the fourth day there was another problem with the pool towels.. I had to wait 3 hours to change the pool towel.. a lot of lack of organization.. in the room whenever the air conditioning was turned on, water dripped from the ceiling.. the afternoon snack is ALWAYS crepes with chocolate and plenty of it.. not to mention that at dinner and lunch the only fruit there is watermelon and peaches.. the 5th day I called the employee to fill the glass 3 times.. and he I said I wouldn't be bothered anymore.. once again I had to go to the reception to complain.. the animation team is very good, Torres, Mikey, etc. the best employee is a gentleman who is mute, MONGI .. a person always helpful and always looking to give the best to customers. I don't advise you to go to this hotel.. most of the employees don't know how to work and are always in a bad mood.

We were for the first time in Tunisia. Great experience ever. We’ve loved the hotel, the food, the beach. Our room was so clean. They clean it every day. Amazing staff, great cocktails from bartenders. The animation team is amazing too. All the staff is very funny and do perfect their job. Will come back for sure!

The hotel is located opposite the airport, looks beautiful and has a nice beach. 1. Food and drink Very versatile for every meal. The beer is on tap and surprisingly tasty. 2. Service Unsatisfactory. They often forget to leave toilet paper or shampoos or water in the room so you have to search later. 3. WiFi Very bad. During the meal period it is almost impossible to connect. 4. Free activities OK. Aquagym and ping pong very nice. All in all, for a 5-star hotel, the rating cannot be higher than 3.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel.. rooms are a good size but tired and dated.. bits of decorative concrete falling off the hotel.. food is appalling.. always cold with very limited choice and the service was slow.. to many bosses and not enough waiters. Snack bar only open certain times and the choice was minimal. Hotel in general needs a huge makeover.. would definitely not recommend to anyone.

This place is such a mess! If you’re planning to enjoy your holiday, avoid this hotel! Worst customer experience. Extremely bad and tasteless food that will make you sick after your vacation! Employees will not be kind and friendly to you no matter what you ask for. Rooms are the worst- small, no light, not clean, nonfunctional, bad AC. Not all inclusive- they want you to pay as much as you can!

Definitely not a 5* hotel, maybe a 2* or 3* if I’m generous. Very bad experience at this hotel and in this country. Would not recommend at all. Rooms were terrible. Even though we paid extra at the reception to get a nice room with a sea view, it was old, dirty, full of ants, with a garden view. Doesn’t look like the pictures online. Fridge and lights were not working. They gave us a room that had a sharing door with the unknown guests next to us, and they could’ve opened it anytime, but we were lucky they didn’t. Staff unprofessional, unkind, very passive, always trying to charge us something extra even though we paid for all inclusive and were giving a lot of tips. Also, always staring, commenting, approaching and bothering female guests. Waiters were extremely slow, not coming to your table unless you call them 5 times, and most of the time: 1.forget to bring your order 2.bring you something else 3.bring something more expensive that you didn’t ask for. Housekeepers don’t even bother to knock when coming inside a room. Beach is tiny, dirty, the sea is nothing special. Very windy everywhere. Boring entertainment, same playlist and activities every day, annoying animators who always want to high five and touch you. Night life nonexistent. Wifi doesn’t work, only sometimes in the room but you have to reconnect it every half an hour. Food bad, tasteless, monotonous. The all inclusive concept they gave us at the reception wasn’t true, for example late breakfast does not exist. Drinks, especially alcoholic ones were horrible. You have to pay extra to get a normal coca cola or a cocktail that doesn’t taste like poison. Receptionists speak english poorly, so it’s a torture to try to ask for an explanation for anything. Other employees speak only arabic and french, not even basic english words. Every person that came with the same flight as us had the same comments. Huge ripoff. Shame that this place still works. Came back to my country with health issues. Never going on a seaside holiday outside of Europe ever again.

Last day of a 7 days all inclusive package. First day: dirty bathroom and urine stains on toilet, no towels, no water in room. Second day, we wanted to go to the gym only to find out that you need to pay a 20 euro fee per person per workout. Third day until last day, they ran out of alcohol included in the package. That means no rom, whiskey, vodka, and also no mixers like Schweppes. Why do I pay for the package?! In theory, after each room cleaning, you sre entitled to a bottle of water...only in theory. If you meet up with any of the cleaning ladies they almost ask you for a tip. No tip, no water in rooms. Staff is bored, mocks you and and not interested in providing what you ask. No ice, hot drinks from the sun and no name Coca Cola. Glasses are dirty and after each client they are only rinsed!!! This hotel has very bad problems regarding basic hygiene! Covid pandemic is not over and it is not normal only to rinse the glasses. During meal times it happed to me to find dirty dishes and cutlery on the table, provided as clean ones. Please choose another hotel. For sure will never come back here!

We have spent week in Royal Thalassa Monastir. Rooms are clean and well serviced. Food is quite basic and not much is left by the end of meal time. Beach is lovely and safe (security is there), weather hot and sunny. Staff friendly and helpful. Great place for families. However not all drinks are free of charge.

Hotel and resort itself is very nice but hotel management and the way its ran lets it down. Air conditioner doesnt work for particular months in the whole hotel. So we had to sleep with balcony doors open and woke up with red patches in skin due to mosquito bites along with sweat patches in pillow and sheet. To make it worse electricity gone off completely for our room multiple times and stayed like that for few hours until they sorted it out .Food was part of all inclusive deal, however absolutely awful food. Its same buffet pretty much everyday and tasteless to say the least. Dessert awful too so had to rely on ice cream mostly. Hotel reception ran by one person mostly who appears to be managing customer and the hotel it self so you have to be lucky to get the opportunity to be able to speak to them. Even asking for things via phone to the reception is like playing lottery as you can never get hold of them. Some staff are really nice and others couldnt care less. Hotel appears to be mostly catered for french people so if you are not french and cant speak the language you might struggle a bit. Overall I liked the beach and the pool itself but rest of it not so much or not at all. I have been to few holidays in my time but this hotel has to be the worst of all.And I dont think I will be back to this place unless some drastic changes takes place.

From booking in to going to room there is no information, so times of meals etc you have to guess. There is a barcode on the desk you can scan but in all fairness you just need youre room, which is 14.00 but is realy 15.00. Check in is made easy but if you ask for safe key you are told to wait for changeover staff, prob cos first staff cant be arsed. The pool animation team are brillll, cannot fault them, also safa who runs the kids club is absolutely brill, she painted me as spiderman and half way through asked if i was sure hmmm🤣... Room wise, went to the desk to report a toilet seat was broken and still waiting after 10 nights. Just give me the seat and i will fix, also i can replace the lightbulbs that had blown. It is missing a room check list which MOST 5* rooms have. Oh balcony door does not lock, but being so high up was told no one will climb up 🤣 Bar staff and animation make this hol good "and Safa" Aircon is no good also,no kettle in upgraded room, basic room with tele bath/shower and a picture that is slanted by the morning. Would i stay again hmm yes as its the atmosphere that is needed for us and yes we had it. I only say what i see, my review is mine but in all fairness it"s a 2* Still wont say about the food as my other reviews as i dont eat 😂

I recently had a rather unpleasant experience at this hotel, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. The issues began at check-in, where I had to endure a lengthy wait of a couple of hours. Upon finally reaching my room, I discovered two separate beds instead of the promised king-size bed. The restaurant experience was equally disheartening. The staff seemed oblivious, often ignoring patrons, and the constant back-and-forth to the same tables for tips was not only unprofessional but also disruptive to the overall dining atmosphere. Overall, my stay was marred by poor service, misrepresented room accommodations, and a lackluster dining experience. I hope this review helps the management address these issues for future guests.

Nice hotel with lovely pool & beach Good selection of food with exceptional desserts but unfortunately every guest had tummy issues during our weeks stay Poor choice of drinks in bars. Wine awful, gin & vodka very strange and if you wanted tonic or diet coke forget it. Staff all pleasant and always trying to please although all areas seem rather disorganised. Be warned that although you have to pay deposit for room safe & beach towels in sterling (cards not accepted) you get dinars back. Make sure you are given paperwork/recept to go with this as without this you will not be able to exchange the dinar at the airport and you are not allowed to use it in duty free!! Spent a lovely week with friends at this hotel but will not be returning to either this hotel or anywhere else in Tunisia

Just stayed here for two weeks overall has good points and bad points Bad points The beach isn't clean rubbish and stones in the sands sunbeds broken mattresses worn out and torn. Staff only seem to be attentive when you tip them otherwise wont give you service, this seems to be the same throughout the hotel Breakfast time was bad coffee machine always breaking down food cold and dirty plates however the omelettes were hot just the grumpy staff making them The indoor bar the spirits are very weak the beer isn't bad again no service at the table Rooms clean we had problems with tv reception not good took me 2 days to get it rectified in a fashion, no Aircon in room was like a sweat box terrible Pool looked okay but never used it animation team never seen them as we used the beach they always work round the pool No entertainment on an evening I could go on and on Wouldn't stay here again

It is a shame that we cannot put a zero. Very unfriendly staff. Receptionists are not collaborative , looking to have an argue with guests. We have two rooms with a horrible view, we asked for different rooms, the receptionist refused to change it but when we were about to leave after 3 hours, they changed it to the pool view but very far from each other. The food is horrible, the service is worst. We asked the waiter for the water, they said we are not allowed to give you even though we booked a full pension. They even turned the lights off while we were having lunch in the restaurant. No animation, super boring atmosphere SHAME ON YOU!

Outdated, overpriced, aggressive security, make you feel on edge instead of a guest and relaxed. The beach in front is OK but it's miles away from anything else - would avoid.

Not even close to a 5 start hotel , we had to wait numerous hours to check in , staff don’t understand English and most people staying here are English , rooms are not clean , our room had hundreds of ants in our wardrobe and bathroom, all over our clothes , we told them about this they said they wouldn’t send someone up , we had to go 3 times to complain and all they did was change the bin so we had to repack and spray everywhere , the glasses and plates are not clean what so ever , limited amount of food and it’s always cold even when we go as soon as it starts , pools are dirty , the alcohol is watered and there’s never anyone at the bar so you have to wait get a drink. there’s like 2 staff members that are really nice and it’s a shame because this hotel is so bad .the entertainment team girl and boy and amazing always in a good mood cheering and making the place lively I wish all the staff were like these too so amazing 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 have to ask for clean towels all the time , staff are pervy and stare at you and make you feel uncomfortable, for £400 for a week with flights included this is an ok hotel for sun bathing but that’s it I wouldn’t waste my money on coming here again . In the middle of no where, the sea is dirty you have to pay £20 for a taxi into the town and don’t feel safe either

The animation team were so lovely and friendly!!! made loads of memories with them and they made me feel very welcome! massive shout-out to Alex, Mikey, Tores, KouKou, and Mohamed, they were the best people at the hotel by far, they deserve pay rises🖤 5/5 star rating for those guys

Definitely agree with the bad reviews on this hotel. It's a shame because it can be much more. It's outdated, the waiters give very srrvice, cannot take an order and cleaners just come into the room without notifying. Enter then knock.. Luckily we only reserved for a night so that saves more days of being disappointed. Not even going to try the food here so no luckily no need review on that.

Where to start. Staff were fantastic and friendly, couldn't do enough. Rooms a little dated but comfortable, bathroom was 'worn' and needed maintenance. Food, plenty to choose from, was repetitive tho but always good. A la carte, nothing special. Drinks, all inclusive was fine but no stock of anything if you wanted to pay for premium. Location is a bit out of the way, need to taxi to basic shops. Right on the gorgeous beach with watersports available. O.... Not a 5* as advertised, maybe a 3*. Either way, a great relaxing break with no complaints.

⚠️ HONEST REVIEW ⚠️ I stayed at this hotel very recently, and after reading some of the reviews I want to give an honest, unbiased review of this hotel. The service is very good, the staff are very friendly and do their job well. The food is very nice, no dishes are "too spicy to eat", a wide selection of food to eat but it is true that they repeat similar dishes everyday, and some of the food is dry like some chicken pieces so you have to know what to get. The pool is nice to cool down in on a hot day, and the beach is also good but not good for snorkelling as it is very shallow and low visibility. The location is decent, doesn't take long to get to monastir city centre or sousse. Room service are very friendly and do a good job in keeping your room tidy. The room I stayed in had no bugs, and the air conditioning was decent but the room was slightly too hot for me. Wifi is not that good but at least it works most of the time. Maybe not a 5 star hotel, but definitely a good hotel.

Please don't be taken in that this is a 5 star hotel. It is far from it although the hotel is very nice the food is very basic and the same is served twice a day. Eating out is advised. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would I come back 🤔 if they got rid of the catering staff and employed someone with imagination.

We don’t normally leave reviews as we are easily pleased, but feel the need to let everyone know the truth about this hotel! Me and my boyfriend booked this hotel after reading so many good reviews. When we arrived, we were happy with how lovely the lobby was and how easy it was to check in. When we got to our room, we were surprised that we had been given two single beds pushed together, as we had booked a double room. We found hairs on the bed and floor, as well as many around the sink and toilet. We struggled to settle on the two beds, as they kept moving and my boyfriend fell down the middle a few times, so we asked to change rooms and we were charged £30, which is not acceptable as we booked the double room in the first place! The man who we spoke to on reception, was rude, not helpful and made us feel uncomfortable for wanting to change rooms. The new room had no kettle, no small mirror in the bathroom (which I need as I cannot do makeup in the big mirror as I wear glasses), the toilet was leaking all over the bathroom floor, the shower goes from hot to cold and the air con only blows out hot air. The bed linen was never changed, they would only make the bed. We wanted to keep our balcony door closed, to avoid mosquitos coming in, but the cleaners would leave it open all day. I understand we have come out of season, but there is literally no entertainment even though there is a fair few people staying here. The food is absolutely atrocious. Everything is cold, but they put boiling water under the trays so it looks like the food is hot. When we complained that the food was cold, they told us to use the microwave to heat it up, which is a food hazard (as a lot of the time they were serving rice). The food hygiene in the restaurant is outrageous. When you sit down to eat, there is never any staff to get you your drinks, at times we had to get up ourselves. There is a “A La Carte” restaurant, which you can book into, but the food is just as awful in there. The spa is ok, there was a funky smell in there and the robes they gave us didn’t fit, but they told us they didn’t have any others. There were no signs within the spa, so we had no idea where we were going because we were just left to it. There was a day where the hotel was full of local Tunisians, so we asked a member of staff what was happening. We were told they have a meeting like this every couple of weeks, which was no issue. However, the men made me feel extremely uncomfortable, as all they did was stare at myself and many other women around the hotel. They made me feel the need to put a jumper on, so I was completely covered up. The best thing about the hotel was the bar staff. Haikel went above and beyond for us, he always had a smile on his face, was super friendly and was always happy to help. Overall, if you want to lose weight, hug the toilet all day and be bored out of your mind, come to this hotel! We definitely will not be coming back to this hotel, we would rather pay a little extra and actually go to a 5* hotel!

Amazing hotel with great amenities even during winter months. Staff are friendly and accommodating with no pressure to tip. Great range of foods/cocktails on offer daily for those who want some local cuisine or prefer to eat comfortably. Top quality facilities such as indoor/outdoor pools, on-site spa, gym, sports facilities & direct access to beach. Highly recommended.
