We recently moved to Parkhurst from Cape Town, so you can imagine our pure delight when we discovered a second-hand furniture store that does re-upholstery right on our doorstep. We bought a beautiful ottoman from Michael and his team and had it re-upholstered with leather. The whole process was seamless and a pure delight. We've had some hair-raising experiences with Joburg service providers, who have to be constantly harassed before they get round to doing what the customer is paying them for. This is the reason why the engagement with Michael, who kept us abreast of the process at all times, was so refreshing. It shouldn't be, but it is quite rare that a business owner is so hands-on and attentive to a customer, so I'll gladly do business with the team at Redecorate in the future.

We bought an old retro server from Redecorate. Michael and his team have done an amazing job of redoing it just the way we wanted, perfect paint job, extras like closing up unwanted key holes and fixing broken bits. Plus delivery. We are thrilled!!

I had asked Redecorate to repaint my side tables. They were a dark brown and I wanted a glossy white. My initial experience was great with the owner. I literally texted him and he would reply almost immediately no matter the time of day, which i found comforting and professional. The minute my side tables were taken i received no further communication on progress of painting my items. Until I enquired about progress a month later. To which i was told stories about my side tables being damaged and therefore needing minor repairs which i think should’ve never turned into a month. What peeves me besides only receiving the side tables a month and a half later is that the owner took me for a fool and thought any little unreasonable excuse would suffice. If you want a headache, take your things to redecorate.

If you need your couch fixed or reupholstered, this is the place. Michael is excellent at communicating how they can help and keeps you updated throughout. Redecorate turned my old couch into a version better even than when I bought it, with new seating foam and pillow inners that will last as well as new material for underneath that my cats had destroyed. I am extremely happy with the end result and will certainly make us of their services again. Definitely a great option if you don't want to fork out the money for a new couch but need some life injected back into an old one.

Michael and his team exceeded *all* (already high!) expectations. Their quote was quick, and reasonable; they arranged to collect the two chairs as soon as I was available; they kept me updated about their (very swift) progress on fixing and re-upholstering; and they delivered right after the job was completed. Michael kindly agreed to work with my own, difficult, striped fabric - and the results are absolutely beautiful! Great artistic and professional care was taken. Thank you.
