What an amazing find! We all enjoyed being around the animals and feeding them. We were welcomed by a very friendly gentleman who explained where to go and what to do. Everywhere you look, there is something to see. Will definitely go again and recommend it to anyone who has kids and wants an outing!

If you looking for a place to see and interact with animals this is the place to go. You get to see peacocks, pigs, bunnies, goats, emus, ostriches, zebras, ducks just to name a few. We were provided with some food for the animals. The staff are extremely friendly. Very reasonably priced. Both kids and adults will enjoy it.

This place definitely qualifies for a 5star. If you want to visit a peaceful place with your kids, a breakaway for yourself and your wife/husband or even a honeymoon; look no further! From the moment you are welcomed, it feels like you entered paradise. The children will have the time of their life with the animals while the grown-ups can enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful place, tucked away in the majestic mountains of Ceres. Would you believe that the cafe is left unattended with a little book where you can write down what you took and then trusted to pay for it later? That is just one of the priveleges you will experience. Although I would ask the owners for shelves in the cupboard to pack your clothes and a light at the braai to watch your meat without a torch, I still cannot give them less than 5 stars. Thank you very much, we had a great long weekend and would definitely return again.

Best experience!!! Rustic little animal sanctuary with a stunning chilled happy vibe. The host Maurice, was so friendly, helpful and such a kind human!!! He made our day at the sanctuary feel so special and has such an awesome nature. Animals were well looked after and the place is well run, everybody doing their bit to rehabilitate these animals. There is a map, with awesome different animals to see; emu’s, goat’s, tortoise, nguni goats, bunnies, (lazy lazy lazy) pigs, donkeys, lama, alpaca, sheep, springbokkies, ostriches, zebra, geese (loads of other birds) and more!!! Spoilt for choice here!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND (Shadow followed us EVERYWHERE- shadow is the horse sized dog > very cute) The meditation room is really calming (I think Maurice spends a lot of time in here!!!) Thanks for a AWESOME experience to remember

We went camping for a few days, and have to say can't complain about anything, what a lovely experience we had. This is really a hidden gem. What was most amazing was all the animals and how well they are looked after. Can't wait to visit again ❀️

About 15 minutes away from Tulbagh, really enjoyed it here with my wife. Excellent place to visit with couples or family, feeding and seeing all the beautiful rescue animals was truly magical and the price for entrance is also extremely affordable. Hidden gem!

What a lovely place to visit, especially with your young ones! My toddler thoroughly enjoyed feeding and seeing all the animals. There are so many animals to feed and interact with. The sanctuary is very clean and neat, the staff very friendly! I also love all the different walkways zigzagging past the animals. We are definitely making this a compulsory stop everytime we visit Cape Town.
