Absolutely breathtaking! Every step you take in these magnificent gardens offers a different view or perspective of the piece of sculpture you're looking at. Wear comfortable shoes, there is a lot of walking, but all the paths are well maintained and easy. Just don't forget to book or you will be sorely dissapointed. Remember your hat and purchase some water when you arrive.

I highly recommend a visit to the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Gardens if you are at all a fan of beautiful gardens, scenery or art! We enjoyed a private tour on the day we visited, but I'd love to go back and walk the gardens at my own pace, using the informative brochure you receive when entering. The setting of each sculpture in the garden is so incredibly breath-taking that I felt I needed more time to revel in their beauty. I would reckon that I could easily spend about 3 leisurely hours walking the gardens. I am also appreciative of the fact that a limited amount of visitors is allowed entry each day, which limits congestion and noise. Bookings can be made via email. In the summer months, I would definitely suggest an earliest entrance as possible, as temperatures easily sore in Stellenbosch. The gardens graciously provide parasols, hats and even suntan lotion! There is a little cafeteria which serves very good coffee and excellent home made lemonade!

An absolute must see! One of the most impressive sculpture installations you will ever see. Impeccably kept gardens with indigenous fauna and flora and the scale is difficult to comprehend if you do not see it in real life. Just stunning! His work is world class! Some sculptures could unfortunately not be viewed close up as the winelands area had just experienced some flooding.

We landed at the place randomly due to a detour… and it was a really nice place to spend 2-3 hours with lovely walks around with beautiful backdrop of stellenbosch vineyards. The highlight were the artistic stone sculptures all around the area, the concept is an open museum

Stunning garden with beautiful sculptures, filled with treasures. It was a lovely place to walk and be inspired. Advance booking required but easy to do online.

An enchanted place. Absolutely worth a visit. The combination of indigenous sculpted garden and Lewis' sculptures is just soul stirring. We took more than the 2 hours recommended and still wanted to see more. Cannot recommend it too highly.

The most beautiful gardens I’ve ever visited. Fantastic landscaping and sculptures with the backdrop of the mountains. A must see if you’re visiting the Cape Winelands - would recommend spending about 2 hours here.

Great experience! Beautiful sculptures varying from finite detailed pieces in final form to sculptures in the rough showing primal and decaying forms. All perfectly placed in a beautiful outdoor natural park setting.

Beautiful gardens with paths leading to the various sculptures of bronze and other materials. Well laid out. There is a main reception with other art too. Wheelchair access to the garden is limited.

A wondrous experience. The only thing that detracted from the serenity was some grinding work that could be heard at times during our 3 hour visit. But the gardens, bird life and artwork make this an exquisite place to spend a few hours.

Spectacular!! The gardens are amazing, the paths are well kept and it is such a beautiful stroll! The parasols are a unique touch of awesome! The sculptures are so incredible and some are MASSIVE!! Loved this outing!!

Lovely well manicured gardens. They provide parasols, sunscreen, hand sanitizer and refresher towels. The security at the gate is not very friendly, and the man working at the cafe is very grumpy and not knowledgeable at all. However, the lemon tart was tasty and the ice rooibos tea very good. Sculptures are very impressive but not everyone’s cup of tea.

Words cannot really describe this magical, thought provoking space. It borders on a spiritual experience. Magnificently laid out gardens and pathways leading to sculptures. I visited again two weeks ago with my granddaughter and I still feel the same about this wonderful place. Lewis's vision is phenomenal.

Truly a stunning day outing. I highly recommend going on a nice day, but it’d even be pretty in the rain.
