Good diving center. Good location. Good staff. Reasonable prices. The owner (Reel) is very cooperative and responsive. The diving center is recommended if you are interest to do diving in Mosselbay.

What a privilege to complete our Open Water Course at Garden Route Scuba! Every single staff member made us feel welcome and treated us in a friendly and professional manner. The dive centre is well-equipped and they place great emphasis on safety, but in a way that things are comfortable and not overwhelming at all. A huge thanks to Reel, Aiden, Keanu and Jessie. We went from "I don't know what I'm doing" to "I can't believe I'm doing this" in less than a week - and it's all because of your patient and knowledgeable approach. Started off with finishing my open water certification.... I loved it so much, that I decided to stay another month to reach Dive Master. And WOW, it was such an amazing experience!!! I accomplished so many things that I never thought I was going to do!!! Everybody was so kind and patient with me and took their time with everything. So a BIG THANK YOU to Reel, Colyne, Aidan, and Phil for making me feel welcomed and part of the team!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!

I have been diving with Reel and his crew at Garden Route Scuba for the past 6 months now. Together with all the 60+ recreational dives I have done with them around Mosselbay, Meiringspoort and Knysna - it has been an absolute pleasure completing my Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver training with them. They are always friendly and conduct themselves in a professional manner. When it comes to buying gear - I have always received valuable advice from them. I would recommend Garden Route Scuba to anyone! I completed my DSD (Discover Scuba Dive) at Garden Route Scuba and enjoyed the experience so much that I decided to complete the Open Water course. Aidan, my instructor was very patient and helpful. He listened to all my concerns and kept me calm. I am really pleased with the professional manner that Garden Route Scuba operates. I always felt welcome and at ease. Their communication is efficient, their customer service is superb and they are more than willing to help with concerns and give excellent advice. They also have a variety of scuba gear and accessories and is easily reached in the center of town. I'm completely hooked on scuba diving after completing my Open Water Course at Garden Route Scuba. Garden Route Scuba - Definitely the BEST dive centre in town!!

Took the kids for diving course today,staff is very friendly and professional and make sure you feel safe and confident before you go into water. Would certainly recommend them and go again.Great adventure,money well spend.

Left our items in their “secure” room at the shop and when we returned from our dive, our money (3800ZAR / $200) was stolen. Evidently no one foreign entered the shop and the owner was there, so it must have been an employee. Money stolen from multiple wallets. They said they “can’t rewind the security footage”. They basically told us sorry nothing they can do or compensate. Aside from our money being stolen, they did not supply dive computers as part of the rental equipment: This is a basic piece of equipment that should be supplied by a PADI dive center, especially for a boat dive where your descending in low visibility water and can’t see the bottom. Quite disappointing considering the actual dives were fine.

We had an absolute brilliant week with Reel and his team. Due to weather my son of 12 did a shore entry dive with the team which was different to the other dives he did before. He enjoyed it a lot and Aiden and team were so accommodating and compassionate. The next day we tried out the snorkeling at the harbor wall with my daughter who has Down Syndrome and a friend of hers with Down Syndrome. Not knowing how they would react to this new experience, we were so surprised how Reel and his team just seem to know how to handle them in the water so they would feel comfortable. Because it was so much fun, we went again the next day. Absolutely unforgettable experience for all of us. Thank you so much!!

Completed both my EFR and advanced scuba with 2 of the most awesome instructors I have come across, they went far beyond my expectations and I honestly could'nt have asked for better, thank you Reel for providing me a team of divers I will happily say are 2 of the best people to dive alongside,I will be joining garden route scuba on many,many more dives, you have helped open doors for furthering my diving education abroad,in my eyes,after this experience they must have a very high standard to even compete with the amount of fun I had doing my cours. I did a refresher course because it has been quite some time since my last dive. The staff was friendly and professional. The divemaster was patient and helped me refresh the important scuba diving skills. Spent 50 minutes under the water, and it was great.

Diving was a life long dream of mine.. I just had to do a Scuba course. After hearing from Pierre and Melis of their amazing experience with Reel and his team, we knew we had to go with Garden Route Scuba. The patience Phil, Colyne and Aiden had with Mike, Mikaela and me, are to be commented and admired. I have multiple health issues.. but Phil took me by my hand and calmed me down, promissed me I would qualify and he made my dream a reality! Never did we as a family feel we were too much effort. Me and my son did an entry level scuba training in April 2021. Very professional with emphasis on safety. My 13 year old son did a follow up training and 40 minute dive in January 2022 at the Mosselbay harbor, and to say the least he had a phenomenal experience with a super dive instructor.

Thank you Aiden and Charles. You guys were really amazing Instructors. You made the experience so much more fun. Thank you for being patient with me and helped getting me out of my head! Now we are Divers!!! We will be back for more dives. Oh and thanks for all the help and advice regarding gear, Reel. You guys rock.
