I started doing online art classes with Monique at Art Zoo from mid April 2020 and haven’t looked back. Monique is one amazing, extremely talented, highly qualified art teacher and I look forward to our Thursday morning sessions. Monique is a vibrant breath of fresh air - she is inspiring, compassionate, funny and totally committed to her art students. What I love is that we make use of all the different mediums - you can choose which class to you would like to do and the best thing for me personally is that I can always go back to the replay which is available for all the students. In that way I can pause the class and work at my own pace. I highly recommend the art classes given by Monique at Art Zoo - give it a try you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

I stumbled onto the Art Zoo Facebook page while looking for some creative ways to de-stress during the COVID-19 lockdown but what I found was so much more. There's no turning back, and I wouldn't want to. Monique has a unique style of making the most impressive works feel easy. She had a beautiful gift and has the talent in transferring the love of art. Mon and Art Zoo had unleashed an inner artist and developed a deeper appreciation for being creative within me. Monique is a Brilliant Art Teacher! I find her Art Zoo online classes easy step by step lessons very inspiring and fun. Being gently nudged to venture out of my comfort zone meant that I have been happily surprised by my unexpected hidden creative abilities.

I started my art journey during lockdown, doing online lessons. I have never had an art lesson, I don't even have great art supplies. Nothing has stopped me and I am impressed with my own work. I have used charcoal (graciously supplied by Monique), pastels, watercolours, coffee and mixed mediums. Monique is phenomenal, I cannot praise her enough. Art Zoo has been lifesaving during quarantine! With so much time on my hands and no idea where to start I saw that Monique was teaching her classes online! I signed up right away. Monique has the ability to find the artist in everyone - from young to old. Her classes are fun and informative and you will be amazed when you are done. You won't believe how clever you actually are. Her on-line lessons have brought such joy during this depressing time. You will not find a better teacher. If there were 100 stars I would give them to her.

I have always been intrigued by art and wished I could produce art, however, my art skills were limited to dodgy looking stick men. Monique changed that for me by creating a safe space and provided me with personalized tools and techniques that transformed into my dream of creating art. I love her classes and her method of teaching but most of all her artsy personality. Highly recommended for all.

Another of Monique’s “making magic happen” workshops. Such a well planned and relaxing morning shared with participants that wanted to play and learn a new skill. What a fun morning! Having never done art (or not since school, many years ago), I felt like learning something new. Monique is an excellent and inspiring teacher.. There is something incredibly motivating about someone who is so passionate about what they do. I was so happy with what she inspired me to create, and in awe of what the more artistic people created. I highly recommend Art Zoo for beginner or advanced artists - you will be amazed at what you are able to do with inspired teaching..
