Shop smart and you can save a significant amount on your shopping at makro. Take advantage of the great deals on Makro specials, and you can buy products from the Groceries category at less than half of the normal price.

    Worst customer experience I have ever had, Wendy Alexander who is a manager there is extremely rude and just walks away from you while you speak to her and ignores you. Refuses to listen. Worst customer experience I have ever had. The least you can expect is good manners and politeness from people. If you have any customer service problems avoid Wendy at all costs, your problem will not even be heard let alone resolved.

    I went to Makro springfield yesterday to buy a fridge, they kept me waiting for morethan 30 minutes.. all the people I requsted to help me me told me that they are not responsible for the fridge section, i ended up leaving the shop withouth buying the fridge because the was no one to assist me.

    I went in to buy a product at this store and I couldn't find it. Although the store was about to close, 2 gentleman went out of their way without any limits to assist and ensure I managed to get the product I require. Ross and Lloyd, you have earned my respect, thanks to you I will always shop at Makro Springfield.

    Super efficient with their online orders. Easily accessible from the parking area. You can order and pick up on the same day which basically means you don't have to stand in any long queues. Only drawback is confectioneries are not available for pickup. Otherwise all good

    Love shopping at Makro. Unfortunately today I was unlucky because when I got home I discovered my one item was broken. I'm sure when I go back tomorrow I will get the same excellent service as always. Update - I took my damaged items back and got great service from the returns department.

    The makro store was pretty busy but it was spacious enough to fit two trolleys in every space. The selection of products is greater than any other store I have been to in Durban and we found international products as well as very hard to find South African products. The staff where helpful and very polite and we had three different people help us find exactly what we needed. All round very good expirence. Really deserves five stars

    I would like to thank Sue-Anne Jones, General Manager and Wendy who assisted with a return and refund. I gave them the wrong informationn about the product that was bought and they were still gracious and able to assist me in a timely manner. Thank you again and I apprieciate your time and professionalism.

    Niresh - branch manager - and his staff are on the ball when doing their work. Super careful when it comes to a client's car. Always friendly. Niresh knows his products inside out. Prices, very reasonable. I'll recommend Tyres & More. Peace of mind.

    Disgrace of a store!!!! Bought a TV 9 days ago from this store but only had it installed yesterday. The TV worked for an hour at the most and now refuses to come on!!! This store refuses to have it sorted out today which is wrong given the fact that my cash was taken from me very quick when making the sale, I want a new unit or my refund urgently as I am now stuck without a tv at home

    I bought an Iphone 11 from Makro online in October, now it's the end of November and they have not delivered or provided an update to me. When I call them, they just send from pillar to post. I am even getting tired of chasing but it's a lot of money, I cannot just give up. I am disappointed, I feel like I have run out of options to try and get my phone from them. I cannot even opt for a refund because I have see reviews that their refunds will take years to reflect.

    Be aware that items on the Makro website may be shipped/sold by a third party. Check to make sure it doesn't say 'available online only' if you intend to go into the store to purchase something you want immediately. The staff was friendly and helpful. The gaming equipment selection in store was a little limited.

    This store has robbed my family. After working for 12 months and receiving our bonus we decided to pool our money together and buy a TV. We purchased the TV from Markro. When purchasing it the TV was tested by the employee’s. It was working 100%. When the Makro employee’s put the TV back in its box they damaged the TV. We didn’t see this until we arrived home and the TV was damaged. When we returned to Makro we were told that they didn’t damage the TV and they had evidence through video footage of the testing. They refused to provide the evidence that there employees didn’t act negligently by damaging the TV and we were treated terribly by all the staff at Makro. We will never do business with Makro again unless the resolve this.

    Absolutely horrible experience the cashiers were so unfriendly n so rude. The staff inside were very helpful and friendly the car guard guys were the best . I did get really good deals on wat I wanted oh and also wen I went to customer service they were rude busy talking stories wile long line of customers are waiting .

    Lovely outlet with a spoil for choice. Clean and cool. I found their once magnificent laptop section absolutely disappointing. All in all I'm pleased with this place.

    Shereen in the Large Appliance section is incredible. Phoned to ask about and dishwasher and when we arrived, it was on the trolley waiting for us. That is customer service at it's very best. Well done. If only all shopping experiences could be like this. Keep it up.

    It was really hot today in the store. There is literally no air conditioning in the store. I really battled in there with my mask on. Temperature outside was like 34 degrees. It felt the same inside the store.

    It's a great place to be, but they need to fix the issue of a shopping card, if you forgot it, there must be an option to insert your ID number to access your profile, instead of sending you to another section to make another card before you purchase.

    Terrible store. I have spent some time here, buying an R8000 washing machine, R11000 TV and yet the service is still and will always be atrocious. Rude staff and dodgy characters in the store as well. Airconditioning doesnt work either so you want to get out asap!
