Absolutely one of the best places you could ever stay in the midlands. Amazing attention to detail on every little thing you want out of a self catering unit. Thanks to Mark for being a fantastic host. We will definitely be back.

A home away from home. We celebrated our Anniversary at Dashy cottage. Mark and Lee made us feel comfortable and welcome at Dashy Cottage. The amenities were good. Having the inverter made Loadshedding a breeze. The peace and proximity to some Midlands Meander eateries made our stay memorable. We highly recommend Dashy cottage with all its thoughtful touches.

I have one word for my weekend, WOW!! The Hosts are so friendly and very informative. The house was clean and very inviting, the attention to the small details blows me away! I would highly recommend this accommodation. Before my weekend start the host reached out to me and gave me all the information required. It is peaceful and quiet, perfect place to go and unwind

A Heartwarming retreat My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at A Far Away Place to celebrate my father's birthday, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, Marc and Lee made us feel like a part of their family. Their warmth and hospitality are unparalleled. The cottage was immaculate, comfortable, and featured all the amenities we could have wished for. It was truly the ideal backdrop for our family celebration. I highly recommend A Far Away Place for anyone looking to escape the bustle of everyday life and enjoy the beauty of nature, alongside some very friendly canine companions. We left with our hearts full and memories we will cherish forever. Thank you, Marc and Lee, for making our trip so incredibly special.

Hi Mark and Lee, I just want to say a very big thank you to you and your staff for a lovely stay this weekend. It was my daughters birthday and we had a lovely time at "Far away place". Fantastic to have a home away from home with access to everything you need and freedom from load shedding! Our cottage was exceptional, the outdoor shower invigorating and views that seem to melt away time.

Great getaway location but also close to lots of local restaurants and Midlands amenities. We had 4 adults, 2 Pugs, I Teenager and a Toddler. We all had fun and chilled.

What an amazing place!! Stayed in Dashy and Nguni, both was absolutely awesome, well equipped, stunning and the views are just breathtaking. Mark (an absolute superhost) was amazing, great recommendations and really friendly — going far and beyond of what is expected of a host. We hope to come come back soon!

Fabulous cottage - we stayed in Nguni - loved the hammocks, superb bedding (slept like babies) and the walks. This is the right place to come to if you need privacy, tranquility, nature. Our deepest appreciation goes to Mark & Lee for your warm hospitality and going the extra mile for us. We would love to visit again!

This was our 2nd visit. We didn't get to do much the first time because of a photoshoot but it left a lasting impression that we had to come back. This time we got to really experience the countryside. Lee was so amazing, very interactive with us and recommending great food spots. Our very first time swimming in a dam which was such an incredible experience and we were lucky enough to be accompanied by Lady and Smooches throughout the entire stay... but that view from the cottage... no words can describe it. We love this place so much that we decided that we want to make this our annual vacation spot. Peace and tranquility.

We stayed in the Treehouse cabin for 1 night. The host was amazing from introduction to saying goodbye. The cottage itself is amazing! The attention to detail, finishes and touches are not easily matched. A real getaway with a top end feel. A big thank you for the amazing hospitality.
