Absolutely beautiful location and view. Tranquil. Stunning. Staff were highly professional, welcoming and so genuine. The whole place is geared towards relaxation and you feel it the moment you pull into the carpark. The nourishing nectar package was utterly divine. Massage perfectly executed with my preferred pressure, body scrub so refreshing. Hot stones amazing, even placed small stones in between my toes during foot massage - that attention to detail is what set them apart from other day spas I have visited. Warm pots of herbal tea in every room and little Minties or chocolate eclairs - even in the bathroom! I was set up with feet soaking in the foot spa to finish off my treatment and could sit there as long as I needed, which was two cups of tea worth! I love being able to support a small local business that is offering the same and/or better services as the bigger chains and posh places in the city, and to be blown away by the calibre of the service provided... what a treat! Obviously, giving a rave review here... so impressed and definitely recommend you book in asap!

The biggest scam I’ve ever had the misfortune of experiencing. How this place has a 4.8 star review is baffling, are they paying for 5 star reviews or are they all from friends and family? What appears to be a quaint cottage day spa is in fact a day spa squished into a quarter of the house. There was essentially 3 small rooms equiped with beds sheets (hanging from the ceiling) to act as room dividers. Very little natural lighting and very little options for a bathroom. I had to use the bathroom in the main house and I literally walked into a living room WHILE an older couple watched tv in their pjs. The ‘sauna’ (if you can call it that) was miraculously shoved into one of these tiny rooms, this ‘sauna’ looked like it came straight from amazon. The kind of sauna you buy for personal use and to tell people you have a sauna, when in fact its a contained electrical heater. The massage was okay, not the best I’ve had nor the worst however what makes me upset is the price. An hour long massage for $175. $175!!! We had some cheese and tea but it just seems extremely overpriced. I could justify this price had the amenities been of a higher quality as well as the service itself. We watched one by one as our massage therapists left the building. By the time we had gotten changed back into our clothes and were leaving, NO ONE WAS THERE. Not to mention having to pay before the service, red flag. When I tell you, I literally cried when I got home because of this experience. I could have used that money to buy myself something I actually enjoyed, a concert ticket, a bag (iykyk) or better yet I could have thrown $175 off a cliff along with myself. Save yourself the disappointment and your bank account, thanks for coming to my Ted talk. *mic drop*

What a fantastic experience. My daughter treated me to a full day at Hahndorf day spa for my 70th birthday.I was pampered from top to bottom experiencing massages for the first time. Everything from the sauna, full body massage, facial, mud scrub, foot spa, head massage and spa. The beautiful food was perfectly thought through. The rooms were clean and very relaxing, I could go on and on. The staff were experienced and so friendly. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing and enjoyable day Maryanne & staff. xx

I had a wonderful experience here. I booked for an "Unfold". The staff were lovely. The setting is beautiful. The facilities were clean, pretty, and welcoming. The products smell so nice. I did not try the food so can't comment and that's why 4 stars not 5. Highly recommend!

A very average experience. I arrived 10 minutes early and was still waiting 15+minutes after my appointment time, finally taken to treatment room and left to wait on table for therapists. No proper introduction or information from therapists, she asked how the pressure was and I said I'd like it alot firmer but the whole massage felt very weak, lacked any flow or rhythm, especially the head massage , it seemed completely uncoordinated like she was distracted by something else. I'm not one to cause a fuss so didn't feel comfortable saying anything in the moments. I asked if it would make more sense to have the sauna before my facial as all the lovely products will just sweat off, she said no it's fine and we could moisturise afterwards. The facial was ok, nothing to rave about but not awful. I was then told I could have my sauna and hop out whenever I like or in 30 minutes and then shower. I did this and went back into the treatment room, expecting someone to be there to apply or give me access to moisturiser but to my surprise everyone had gone, I walked out to reception and there was noone there. Everyone had gone home? I was given absolutely no warning of this, it was not mentioned at all that I would need to see myself out. Not sure how they get away with this from an insurance perspective, especially leaving you to use and turn the sauna off yourself (luckily I knew how to switch off!) I have visited 3 times in the past 6 years and each time have left feeling like it just wasn't worth the money (only returning due to being gifted a voucher), it's just not a luxury experience, at one point a dog was heard growling before somehow running through the treatment room, a staff member running in after it...this could have been very embarrassing had I been in the middle of turning over or popping out of the sauna! I feel that they are really trying to create a special space for pampering but the simple courtesy of introducing yourself to your client, explaining a few things and maybe letting them know that there will be no staff around at the end of your treatment could go a long way!

I've been going to Hahndorf Creek Day Spa since 2014. I first went as I was celebrating my birthday and I wanted to treat myself to a pampering. Marianne and I played phone tag for a little while until we eventually spoke to each other. She was so friendly and made me feel like I was part of her family. I booked in for a two hour pampering. From the moment I walked in until I left, I was treated like a princess. It was the best two hours. I knew it wasn't long enough. So I made a booking for the following year for my birthday and this time I booked for the half day. So off i went the following year for my half day birthday pampering and guess what? Still wasn't long enough. So I booked for the full day pampering for my birthday the following year. It was truly amazing. I now book in for the full day birthday pampering every year. I love how Marianne and her staff always make me feel so special and make my experience something to remember. I also have the odd pampering during the year and it's always fantastic. If you're looking for special for yourself or a special person in your life, I wouldn't hesitate to make a booking. You'll not regret the experience and you'll be wanting to re-book. Once again I can't thank Marianne and her staff enough for always looking after me and treating me with love and respect. I can't wait for my birthday pampering September.

Service was really good. The treatment was also very nice. Having warm tea and water in every room is a very good idea. From the fluffy robes, the cheese platters and light lunch, it really made me feel special. I would have given 4.6 rather than a 4 if it were technically possible. Only change would be that there were some machine noises or at times noises from washing equipment that disrupted the relaxing music. The initial mud on my back also felt cold but was later on a beautiful warmth when applied to the front parts. Overall though, I would definitely recommend 😊♥️

Visited on Friday 19th May. I booked a half day spa package for my husband and I to experience together. I also booked the Infrared Sauna as an extra treatment for us both. Having never been to a Spa retreat for a package of treatments I was really excited about this experience. However, both husband and I were left feeling a bit underwhelmed and disappointed from our visit. The retreat location is in a lovely and tranquil location. Upon entering reception we were met by a friendly lady (who I assume must be the manager as we saw her throughout our time there) However, she seemed to be a little disorganised and our experience came across as a bit haphazard. We filled out forms but nothing was really explained to us what treatments we would have first etc and how our four or so hours there would pan out. More of a case of follow me through to the treatment room and lets get on with it. Our first treatment was a foot spa which the same lady set us up for. The two chairs to sit in are low living room armchairs and ok if you are on he short size like myself and can comfortably put your feet in the bath. My husband on the larger taller size was most uncomfortable as he was way too low down causing him to have to shift about and eventually have to move over to the settee and still have to sit on a cushion to give him a bit of height. So for the 30 min foot treatment hubby was not very comfortable at all unfortunately. Perhaps the spa should take this in to consideration for future clients as most other spas do have the proper seats. We were then escorted into another treatment room with two beds and decor, ambience was lovely. The two ladies who did our treatments also did not tell us what would follow next throughout, but they were very nice and treatments good. I would however suggest that they make sure clients are fully comfortable on beds before starting as this was an issue for us both. No problems with the treatments, very enjoyable. Just the noise of either a heater/air conditioning unit and sound of hot water constantly boiling which did take away the relaxtion feeling as it became rather annoying! That said treatments were nice and ladies did a good job. After a body scrub we went into bathroom for a spa bath and (manager) had brought back our clothes to get back dressed into after the bath. She had however, forgotten that I had also booked the Infrared sauna treatment! So after our bath we stayed in our robes and were left to stay in the foot treatment room ( with option of using foot spa again) due to the Sauna room being used by another client. We probably waited about 40 mins and were then shown to sauna and our clothes were taken with us to get dressed into afterwards. Now you do get hot and sweaty in a sauna and we had just been in a bath before? However, nothing was said to us until we were both nearly fully dressed that we could take a shower if we liked! By this time we really couldn't be bothered to get undressed again so made our way outside where we were brought a cup of tea. I wouldn't say this was a totally bad experience, just a bit more attention to detail needed. Considering how much this had cost It just did not leave us with that 'wow' factor we had expected.

This is the most amazing Spa/Massage I've ever experienced. I'd never had a facial massage before but I highly recommend getting one from these amazing ladies. The service was next to none and the atmosphere couldn't have been more relaxing.

1st time visiting this business I could not fault in anyway from start to finish and told many a person it was the best facial I had ever experienced! But the 2nd visit with my sister was completely at the other end of the scale and this is why have given only a 2 star review as it was very very disappointing experience and besides running 3/4 hour behind time facials commenced with two staff and half way through one staff was doing both of us , and for money paid jyst not good enough. To top it off as both have ailments, staff just leaves the room my sister struggling to get up the bed falls apart, no pads where removed no help to get up I had to yell for help for a staff member for my sister. The whole experience was a disaster, very very dissappointing and not so sure if staff member was a qualified as certainly was not the same experience as my first. I wanted to speak to management before I left, but nowhere to be seen as I even asked. For the money you pay I expect the service on my 1st visit

•Service: 8/10 - foot spa machine slightly uncomfortable due to the height of the sofa. The bubbling water was boiling hot after a couple of minutes, and there was no staff available. The machine is not user-friendly, and we didn't manage to adjust the temperature. •Value for money: 8/10 •Skin products: 8/10 •Environment: 10/10 •Parking: 6/10 Limited space. Booking required. •Access for disability: 3/10

Nothing was too much trouble with any requests extremely accommodating. Lunch was lovely with a view of the countryside. Massage by Leah was amazing. Facial with Chocolate Mask by Kavita was divine. Body brush & mud mask by Marianne was wonderful. Priced so well too. Highly recommend!
