We started with lessons for our wedding dances. We had so much fun we signed up for continued classes. Anna is an incredible teacher and knows just how to get us to learn while still making it fun. The monthly themed social dances are such a fun time to practice what we've learned and to get to know the other folks taking classes. We've also learned several new dances very quickly during the socials from Alex. If you've ever thought of learning to dance, this is the place to do it.

Before we took our first dance lesson with Anna, dancing seemed to be a completely incomprehensible activity that requires some unique innate talent, which, after a couple of prior unsuccessful attempts, we were convinced we did not have. Anna and Alex demystified dancing for us and proved that anyone can learn to dance. There is a logic, patterns, and routines that become familiar with practice and can ultimately be mastered by anyone. The more familiar they are, the more enjoyable dancing is. I can't imagine having more inspiring, enthusiastic, supportive, passionate and patient teachers than Anna and Alex! We are very lucky to have them as our dance instructors and very grateful for being a part of the amazing LSDA community of dancers! Life is much better with other dancers and dancing in it!

Anna is the best! I was referred to her for dance lessons which I ended up taking lessons for my first dance and my father-daughter dance at my wedding recently. I highly recommend for either occasion! My husband and I had so much fun with the lessons and in some ways that was more special than the dance itself. The dance Anna choreographed for us was perfect! Also had a blast taking lessons with my dad and gave us time to spend with each other prior to the wedding. Lake Shore Dance Academy is simply the best dance school in the area, and it's all thanks to our instructor Anna. She is truly a master of her craft, a true artist and genius when it comes to dancing. My husband and I have been taking private dance lessons with Anna for the past three months and we are having the best time! Anna is great at teaching us the dances we are interested in, being flexible with what we want to focus on, meeting us where we are at, going faster when we are picking things up quicker and slowing down to explain things where we are struggling. We LOVE Lakeshore Dance Academy! My fiancé and I only started our rumba, tango, and hustle lessons about 3 weeks ago in preparation for our wedding in October, but we are thrilled at what we’ve learner already in just 3 full lessons and the introductory one! I took dancing lessons in anticipation of my daughter’s wedding. My expectation was that as a person with two left feet, I would struggle to achieve my goal of learning the rumba. However, with Anna as my instructor, I was not only able to learn the rumba, but other dances as well. Anna is patient, but also able to push you to continually improve until all of sudden, you realize you are actually dancing! I highly recommend the Lake Shore, Dance Academy.

My husband and I started taking dance lessons with Lake Shore Dance Academy about 9 months before our wedding. We worked primarily with Anna who did an amazing job teaching us. We went into these lessons with having no experience or rhythm. We started out learning the basics of Waltz, Hustle, Swing, and Rumba. After finding the perfect songs for our dance, Anna put together a mash-up and worked with us to choreograph our wedding dance. Everyone at our wedding loved our dance. Looking back at videos so many people were engaged and entertained. Most people there had no idea we were taking lessons, so it was a great surprise to show them all our hard work we had put into learning the dance. After our wedding we are continuing dance lessons with Anna to learn more social dances so that we can continue dancing at other events. We have been venturing into the Tango, Salsa, and bachata. Depending on what you are looking to learn Anna and Alex have a lot of skill and great personalities that you’ll be sure to have fun! They are extremely funny and personable. Thank you again Anna for being so patient with us and creating the most beautiful wedding dance and we look forward to continuing our dance lessons!

My wife and I took lessons at LSDA to learn a waltz for our first dance at our wedding. We were both beginners and Anna did a great job making us feel confident and ready for our big day. She made the whole experience fun, and we learned so much that we were hardly even nervous during the first dance. I started taking dance lessons here around a year ago to learn how to dance better at weddings. I thought I didn’t have rhythm and it would be a near impossible task to learn the most basic steps. Within 20 minutes, Ania made me feel comfortable and understand that although it takes time, ANYBODY can learn to dance. From waltz, to hustle, to salsa, to tango and beyond, I always felt like I was learning something valuable while having more fun than I could’ve ever expected. You’ll learn more than just the basics and even feel comfortable to perform routines in front of others with the help you’ll receive from both Alex and Ania. I only have good things to say about my experience and recommend anyone to give dancing a try here.

We had such an incredible experience at the studio. We decided to sign up for dance lessons 4 weeks before our wedding and it ended up being our favorite part of the wedding planning process. I had swing dance lessons with Anna and learned quite a bit in one round of classes, with some Tango thrown in the mix. The studio is nice and clean and the classes are structured well with it not being overwhelming, and Anna was a fun teacher.

My dad and I took lessons for the daddy daughter dance for my wedding, and we had the pleasure of working with Anna, who is so knowledgeable, patient and funny. We did the 15 dance class package, as neither of us can dance, and Anna truly transformed us and made us feel comfortable each practice. Cannot recommend this place enough! My fiance and I had SO much fun learning the basics of a few different types of dance, and creating a special first dance with a lot of help from Anna! Our children bought us a gift certificate for 1 lesson. Neither my wife nor I knew how to dance and decided to try it out. Anna was very knowledgeable and patient with us and started by talking to us about what we wanted to get out of the lessons. We love her instruction so much we signed up for the basic package. After we finished those lessons, we enjoyed it so much we signed up again. We have also had lessons with Alex, and he is just as knowledgeable and patient. It is a hard decision which instructor we like to use because they are both so good. I would highly recommend this studio to everyone.

Our first dance blew all of our guests away! Anna was thorough, creative and efficient. She took our first dance song, which is a bit obscure, and came up with an amazing, elaborate, and beautiful first dance. You can tell that Anna is experienced in dance and really knows what she’s doing. The transitions flowed with the music and beats, yet the dance was not too complicated, as long as you practice, practice, practice! Which we did and enjoyed.
