Visited
Castle
Island
for
an
early
morning
walk
with
my
dog
and
we
both
had
a
great
time.
There
is
a
nice
pathway
that
loops
all
the
way
around
Pleasure
Bay
to
a
smaller
island
and
then
back
to
Castle
Island.
There
are
several
monuments
along
the
way,
and
there
are
some
great
views
of
the
bay,
the
boats
in
the
harbor,
the
sunrise,
and
even
some
distant
views
of
Boston’s
skyline.
Fort
Independence
is
a
great
backdrop
to
all
of
this,
but
unfortunately
I
was
not
allowed
inside
when
I
went.
The
ranger
said
they
do
tours
occasionally,
though.
Very
popular
area,
even
on
a
weekday
at
5am
so
I’m
sure
it
gets
very
crowded
on
the
weekends.
While
I
would
personally
prefer
to
spend
a
beach
day
at
Revere
Beach,
the
calm
waters
and
lack
of
waves
make
this
a
good
choice
for
parents
with
small
children.
Regardless,
this
is
a
great
place
to
come
for
a
sunrise
or
sunset
walk
and
enjoy
the
beautiful
scenery.
