the " new South Boston people" treat it like a dog park. They have a bran new one less than a block away. It's for kids and would be nice if the new SB would stop bringing their dogs there. They are limiting a small enclosed area for the kids. It's just ridiculous. Some of the kids are afraid of dogs especially ones off their leash.

A really nice park, seems very cozy! Beautiful neighborhood surrounding the park! The playground is a nice addition, and plenty of well-behaved dogs to interact with. An opportunity to planespot is a nice feature as well!

Nice park but why do most of the benches face the street and parked cars instead of the trees in the park?

Fenced in playground with water sprinkler in the summer months, all play equipment is new and meets the minimum UN standards of fostering non aggressive playground behavior. The park was also decontaminated by replacing top soil and adding drainage in 2018. Recent environmental study estimated that no trace of PCB'S , Mercury or various other heavy elements will be present or detectable by 2025 (with an estimated total rainfall of 20 inches per year) unfortunately snowfall beyond 5 inches per season will delay the process. The pollution was caused by an old power plant across the street that was designated a super fund site by the World Health Organization in 2005. The plant had been in service for over 150 years the 3 plants on site had a total of 5 smoke stacks! The power plant site is now in final approval process for zoning change to residential.

Amazing atmosphere! 10yrs ago used to visit park with the now hubby. Moved away but will always treasure our memories here! Must visit for sure!

A really great spot for little littles, which can be hard to find. I'm really excited to see the water feature that will go in the upgraded section.

Pleasant open park grounds with a playground Lori A. Miller Tot Lot adjoined. Dogs and owners like to run around the park. It's on a hill so it enjoys good sun and breezes off the seaport.

A few benches, in shade and sun, with a single trash car on southwest entrance. Dogs may be on leash or not. It's very spacious and there's a kid jungle gym on the side with the view towards the commercial port with container cranes.

A normal park in a relatively not so decent area. We came here to watch the St. Patrick Day parade.
