Such a great experience! My cousins and I had a guide named “Captain Bob,” who was incredibly kind, funny, and informative about Boston history! The experience began with a quick lesson on how to ride, which I was able to figure out relatively quickly. Once we were out on the street, Captain Bob directed us where we needed to go, with another guide in the back (named Rob) to ensure none of us fell far behind. We went for a one-hour tour around the city, and it was so great that I wish I could go back and take the two-hour version! They gave us free water and coupons to local places, took photos of us for FREE, and also gave us a coupon for the next time we take a tour! This excursion is SO much fun, and I would recommend it to anyone interested! If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. 100/10, would absolutely ride again! Thank you Captain Bob!

My father and I went to this tour a week ago. The tour was very nice, and we saw some of the most interesting places in Boston. The tour guide, Captain Bob was amazing, ask for him when you arrive!

What a great way to explore a city like Boston! After this first experience I'm going to look for Segway in the future. Gotta be careful though mostly when stopping. I found out that this can be tricky as my Segway didn't obey me for a quick moment and decided to roll a few inches on my leg. Luckily our guide Captain Paul had some bandaids. Btw, Paul was a Segway riding city lexicon and a great guide. Can fully recommend this tour. Check out only a few spots we got to see.

Called 2 days prior from the ER just hours after booking and they wouldn't even listen. Sad they aren't considerate of adverse circumstances and just kept our money. I guess the $200 will be peanuts compared to the medical bills.

We had the best tour guide: Ryan. Ryan was funny and knowledgeable. Even as we got caught in a summer thunderstorm, his upbeat attitude allowed us to continue enjoying our tour. Doing a segway tour was such a fun way to experience the beauty of Boston city. I would totally recommend this company.

I took my wife and two adult daughters for a one hour Segway Tour of Boston. We had Rob as our tour guide. Rob was fantastic. He took plenty of time to make sure everyone was comfortable during our training before we went out. Rob provided an informative history of Boston landmarks. Rob took us over to the U.S. Constitution. I would highly recommend this tour for an age group.

I'm writing this review 2 years later because I feel bad that I never wrote anything (I gave 5 stars long ago so not sure what date is going to show, but the tour was in Sept 2019 with Ariel). This was our very first Segway tour and the reason we try to do Segway Tours in as many cities as possible. It was a great experience and absolutely recommend it to anyone else. Unlike the tour we took in Pittsburgh, which was an otherwise enjoyable and very pretty city, (but much like the tours we took in Atlanta and Savannah as those were amazing too) the guide really is what made the tour fun. Ariel showed us HIS city and that's why we loved it. It wasn't just listening to monotone facts, he genuinely seemed like he loved the city and wanted to share, with his own personal touch. So thank you. Even though Atlanta and Savannah were both awesome as well, with guides that absolutely made them worth it too, since Boston Segway tours were our first, and the inspiration for the rest, we will always appreciate you guys on our future tours in other cities. Had the tour been a bad experience, we probably wouldn't have gone to other cities. With the right guide, Segways are a pretty cool first impression to any city. We are probably more likely to try out new cities than repeat ones we have already done, however if I ever found myself doing another tour with Boston Segway Tours again, and if all your guides make it as exciting as Ariel, than it would absolutely be worth it. I know that this kind of Segway isn't made anymore, so I hope you guys (and all the other great Segway tour companies out there) find a way to keep going, which is why I am leaving this review 2 years later. Oh and for anyone worried about riding a Segway for your first time.... Don't. Take it slow and easy at first if you don't feel comfortable, but it will start to feel intuitive pretty quickly. Out of the 4 cities we have done, I've never seen someone that didn't get it by the end of the training; Even those that seemed super nervous at first. Boston Segway Tours does a great job of making sure you "get it" before the actual tour starts.

What a fantastic experience! Our tour guide Ryder was awesome. He was jovial and very knowledgeable about all of the sights around town. He made sure we felt comfortable before leaving on the tour (as it was our first time). We had a great time, and would recommend to anyone wanting a personalized tour of downtown.

Great tour with Jay! He customized the tour to our wants and needs, we were more interested in seeing all the sights rather than a history lesson and he did just that! However, when we wanted a little history he delivered! Highly recommend the 2 hour tour, you will get to see the entire city! We have been on at-least 10 Segway tours in other cities and our tour with Jay was one of the best! The owner is super awesome was well, made sure we had water and candy! When you go to Boston definitely use Boston Segway Tours!!

This was on ours son's bucket list. I was hoping to find a way to graciously back out, but Capt Thompson was very patient and I am so glad I went along. He was very informative about the city and tailored the tour to fit our interests. He also was our personal paparazzi and took tons of pictures that they're emailing to us. If you're the least bit intimidated, trust me take a chance! You'll love it!

Our family took a Segway tour of Boston with "Captain K" and it was awesome! He was very informative and entertaining. It was a great combination of learning the history of Boston and having fun on a Segway. We were able to see everything quickly and close up. We would highly recommend it!

Miguel was the most fun guide! He asked us what we wanted to see and do and catered our tour to us. The whole company was inviting and kind and it was such an informative and enjoyable tour. They took complimentary photos that were quickly sent to us. So much fun!!

Thomson was a great guide. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Boston. I had NO prior experience on a segway but they made sure we got the hang of it before departure. Last, you get to see a lot in a short amount of time. 👍🏼

We had a fantastic tour with Captain J. The tour was very interesting and informative. J was great, very knowledgeable and lots of fun. Could not have been better. This is a great way to get a good look at Boston before deciding what you to explore further. Segways are lots of fun and easy to ride. 10/10 for J. Highly recommended.

We were so pleased we booked with Boston Segway Tours! We have done Segway in Gettysburg, so we knew we wanted to do it in Boston. Our guide Rob took us out on a two hour tour all around the city! Very informative, lots of fun and just a great way to see the city of Boston! Highly recommended!

This was a great experience with Captain J! We did several tours in Boston and this was one of the most fun tours. Riding a Segway on a hot day was great. Up close views of the harbor, lots of ground covered and no walking! My teenager boys loved it and now we have added another recreational vehicle to things we've ridden. ATVs, snowmobiles, dog sleds, jet skis... Do this fun tour with Captain J!

My daughter and I decided to do the 1-hour tour on a whim last week and we are SO GLAD we did!! Captain Bob was phenomenal. Friendly, informative, catered the tour to what the two groups wanted. We started off with a safety lesson and all the water we needed (it was almost 100 degrees that day)! Then we went on a very full fun tour throughout the city seeing the harbor, china town, Boston Common and more! Captain Bob took all the pictures and we received them a few days later. I would do this again! Highly recommend and I would do it again (even as residents of MA)

  • 5/5 Nicole T. 1 year ago on Google
Our tour captain was Rob and he was phenomenal! My husband and I were the only two people on the segway tour, so Rob asked us what we wanted to see and where we wanted to go. He was a pleasure to ride with and we had a very nice conversation the entire time. Rob took awesome pictures of us and of the sights along the way. He also gave us wonderful recommendations for restaurants for the remainder of our stay in Boston. I highly recommend Boston Segway Tours and encourage anyone to ask for Rob!

Totally loved this new segway adventure we did this morning. Absolutely the best experience ever!! When my friends suggested this, I thought I'd definitely fall off that thing, but I had a short training lesson beforehand and got the hang of it really quickly.. We had a good 2 hours touring around the city with Ryder, the tour guide. It was so much fun.. I would definitely recommend to anyone to do this exciting adventure tour.

I recently had the opportunity to experience Boston Segway Tours, and it was an absolute blast! Our guide, Jay, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience enjoyable. A Smooth Ride from Start to Finish From the moment we arrived at the tour office, Jay made us feel welcome and comfortable. He provided clear instructions on how to operate the Segways, and we were off and rolling in no time. A Guided Tour of Boston's Best As we glided through the streets of Boston, Jay took us to all the must-see sights, including the Boston Common, the Public Garden, and Beacon Hill. He shared fascinating stories about the city's history and culture, bringing the landmarks to life. Jay's Expertise Made the Difference Jay's expertise as a guide was evident throughout the tour. He was able to answer any questions we had and provided insights that we would have missed on our own. He also made sure we were safe and comfortable the entire time. A Must-Do for Any Boston Visitor I highly recommend Boston Segway Tours to anyone looking for a unique and memorable way to experience Boston. Jay is an exceptional guide, and I can't imagine having a better experience with anyone else. Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars Pros: Knowledgeable and friendly guide Easy-to-follow instructions Safe and comfortable experience A unique way to see Boston Cons: None! Thanks again to Jay and Boston Segway Tours for an outstanding experience! I will definitely be recommending your tour to friends and family. Thank you Jay, the Brian's

Jay was our tour guide and he did not disappoint. He had a great sense of humor and an abundance of knowledge about Boston that we would have never known about had we not done the tour. Not only should you book this tour but request Jay as your "captain"!

I cant help it, I love a fun segway tour through a new city. This one was very "in the city" meaning we were driving alongside buses and bikes and cars and everything else. A little nerve racking, but our guide was great and we had a wonderful time!

Had a blast exploring Boston and learning some history at the same time. The guide was fun, knowledgeable and made learning for to Segway fast and easy. Felt comfortable on it after 5 minutes. I'll be doing this in every city!

Liam was a fantastic guide! He was informative and super pleasant. Provided a great tour of the city and was knowledgeable about what we were looking at. If you can get over the rude woman at the front desk then this would be a five star rating no doubt.

Having previous experience riding Segways we had a group of 4 and a great time on the Boston Segway tours. Our guide Ariel, was very informative and knowledgeable about the city. No issues or incident. Kept us all straight and safe. Had a few games along the way and some quiz questions about the history of Boston. Correct answers and safe driving are rewarded!! Thanks Ariel for the experience!!

Absolutely incredible experience. Likely the most fun I've ever had in my entire life, mainly due to our spectacular guide, Garrick. Garrick was a phenomenal segway operator and, as far as I could tell, knew every detail about the city and history of Boston. Someone give this man a raise! Overall, highly recommend this for anyone. The cost is well worth it! (PS: you will wish you did the 2 hour tour!)

  • 5/5 Mike M. 4 years ago on Google
We had Robert as a tour guide and he was amazing!! He took hi time to teach us how to ride the Segway and made sure we were comfortable using it before we left! He was very attentive the whole time and stopped at 2 extra places just for us. Request him, you will not regret it!

My Granddaughter (age 16) and I had a fantastic time seeing the Boston city sights with Jason our wonderful Segway guide. He made sure we remained safe and wanted to show us as many sights as possible. I would highly recommend taking the Segway tour. Much more fun than riding a tour bus.
