I lived 14 miles away but never seen this historic site since 1777 before. Checking sunset and moonrise schedule if you want to take photo of NY and NJ skyline, you probably need tripod and long lens. It varied everyday of the year. Despite all that, you can enjoy the historic time of George Washington.

There’s a beautiful step down to take pictures. The scenic view is amazing with a straight shot of Manhattan skyline on a clear day. There’s a couple of tables to sit. A parking space for about 10-12 cars. Was packed when I stopped by but multiple cars pulled out shortly arriving. It’s not a place to hang out for a long time. Most people will stop to take pictures and leave.

Best views in the region mixed with a strong dose of meaningful history. Easy parking across the street and short walk to scenic spots. Sublime and romantic. Well maintained too, although careful moving below the observation platforms - evidence of degenerates (broken glass and garbage).

Very clean and peaceful park. There is a nature trail to walk with your dog if you want. The view is spectacular, especially on a clear day. Pictures always come out great. Only downside would be is there’s not plenty of parking space when it gets busy.

Lovely place to visit in the fall; not much to see but it is peaceful and the drive to it is lovely.

I enjoyed a quick visit here on a gorgeous 77 degree sunny fall day. The views are breathtaking and there was plenty of room for everyone to socially distance themselves. There are a few picnic tables that are available to enjoy a meal on, and a parking lot across the street. The fall foliage is gorgeous! A nice place to stop for a short visit if you ever find yourself in this area.

Haven't been up here in years. Still a nice place for a picnic or just enjoying the scenery. I think fall is the most ideal time to visit. It's when the trees change color and start losing leaves. You'll be able to see a wider view.

Very interesting trip for family or couples. Not crowded at all. Great view all the way to NYC. View finders work and is 25 cents for about 3 mins. Parking is a lil tight but still available. Beautiful view. My report is coming back in Autumn.

View is super cool 😎 and parking is limited to some 10 cars. Few picnic tables and trails are really beautiful. History worth to know about the old war time activities. Lot of buds that are hiding on everywhere be careful of them. Overall place is small but must visit place around beautiful Warner township

Park is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The historical significance of this site during the American Revolution adds an extra layer of fascination. Get Spare quarter coins to see beautiful New York skyline.

A cute overlook that was used by George Washington during the Revolutionary War. It's a must visit location. Make sure you bring food for a picnic!

Beautiful View, picnic tables, historic sight, makes a great trip to just enjoy the heights, rarely a lot of people here, walking trails. The only thing I would recommend is a public bathroom besides the porta-potties.

Good view when the sun's going down. Few picnic tables and one solid light for when it gets dark. The park is always clean and there's a free parking lot.

Washington Rock State Park, Green Brook - As Ministers/ Wedding Officiants at Kimberlys Blessings, we have celebrated Micro weddings at this lovely place. We have found the grounds to be ruggedly beautiful. On a clear day, you can see panoramic views of the NY Skyline. Highly recommended. Let us know if you have any questions about Your wedding and this Memorable place for Micro Weddings or Elopements, or if we can be of further assistance. *(Please check with Park Officials ahead of time if a permit is needed for your size Wedding or Elopement.)

A very nice place to watch the sunset. The commander was leading the war from here. You can see Manhattan from here. There is also a car park at the back.

Historic place with picturesque and romantic views. There are few places higher to the south giving it an unobstructed view. It is a great pity that it closes at sunset as the night views can be stunning. The restrooms are the portable type.

Charming spot for a lookout, the fog today making it even more so. Great picnic areas, with hiking trails to enjoy as well.

Definitely great place to disconnect and connect to nature. This place is one of the best places I have visited, and it feels like the top of the world calmly relaxed. I recommend visiting there as I visit here often.

This Park is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Nestled amidst nature, it provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The highlight of the park is undoubtedly the panoramic vista of the surrounding area, including a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline (with a clear weather). Whether you're a nature enthusiast, history buff, or simply seeking a tranquil spot to unwind, it is worth a visit. The well-maintained trails and picnic areas make it an ideal destination for a day trip with family and friends. Don't forget your camera to capture the beauty of this picturesque park!
