Extremely amazing Story Bridge! Whenever I walked along the river, I can enjoy this wonderful view both at daytime and nighttime. It also will change the color regularly, which makes it more attractive. Highly recommend to take a walk here when you visit Brisbane!

One of the most picturesque places in Brisbane to photograph by night. Tuck away on the cliffs above Howard Smith Wharves and pop off a few happy snaps. Such a beautiful bridge with a very cool history.

The Story Bridge is a heritage-listed steel cantilever bridge spanning the Brisbane River that carries vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic between the northern and the southern suburbs of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is the longest cantilever bridge in Australia. Excellent views at night time with beautiful illumination.

I recently had the chance to visit the iconic Story Bridge in Brisbane, and I must say, it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The bridge, which spans the Brisbane River, offers spectacular views of the city and surrounding areas that are simply unparalleled. Walking across the bridge was enjoyable in and of itself, with a wide pedestrian path and dedicated bike lanes that made the experience safe and comfortable for all ages. Additionally, the Story Bridge Adventure Climb was a thrilling opportunity to take in the sights from an even higher vantage point, with knowledgeable guides leading us up to the summit. The bridge is beautifully lit up at night, adding an extra element of charm to the Brisbane skyline. Moreover, its close proximity to numerous bars, restaurants, and attractions in the area made it easy to continue our adventure after our visit. All in all, I highly recommend visiting the Story Bridge while in Brisbane. It's a stunning piece of architecture with amazing views and a unique experience that you won't find anywhere else. Don't miss out on the chance to create lasting memories at this incredible landmark!

What an amazing place Brisbane is! Everywhere you go it’s nice and scenic. So many great neighbourhoods. Kangaroo Point has to be my favourite if I had to choose. With the Story Bridge and the surrounding parks and buildings it’s amazing! It takes a while to walk across the bridge but you’re treated with great scenic views! 👍😎

A great place to walk on the bridge and enjoy the view of the city. You can walk around the river and capture amazing views of Story Bridge. You can also climb on top of the bridge with a tour they offer and it is only one of the 3 bridges in the world to offer that experience. You will plenty of food options below the Story bridge. Fireworks display called Riverfire happens during Brisbane Festival in the month of September and it is one of the most important event of the year.

Beautiful bridge especially when it’s lit at night - it’s the venue of the main fireworks display during the Brisbane Festival. Lots more of F&B outlets nearby to enjoy the night view.

Well I've only been to Brisbane twice and this been the 2nd time. But each time I've here I'm drawn back to the Story Bridge. Last year I did an evening climb, and the views from the top as the city went from day to night, were spectacular. Even more so as she lights like a Christmas tree, as it gets dark. The walk across or under her by boat is both enjoyable and a sight to behold. It's a must see attraction for all locals and visitors alike. The Story Bridge is the heart of Brisbane city, with a wonderful history that is as colourful as she is at night. A must see.

I flew into Brisbane for the day (from Sydney) and I had to walk over the Story Bridge and loved it. It has a beautiful view, good walkways and the bridge itself is great to look at from afar and also be on. I almost got run over by some people on Scooters (but not the Bridge's Fault), so I say enjoy it there, and be careful!

Under the story bridge has a great small open area with sands where we can walk our dogs and let them run wild. My dogs love it here because its the nearest beach place in the city. There would be some other dogs coming here sometimes so they can play together. Such a great place for photo shoots 🥰

The walk on the bridge is a bit noisy with all the traffic but you can have nice view.. It's also worth to take a pic of the bridge once you get off it, and you are walking in the city. It connects kangaroo point to the city. It's super scenic at night with all the lights.

Master piece of work with a unique position across the river that gives stunning view from either side CBD as well New Farm. Great way to symbolise and communicate through the colourful lights based on theme. Definitely great minds behind this.

Brisbane is an international city and this bridge is a big reason why. Many stories could be told of people's thoughts of an exciting time in the valley or at a pub, an opportunity in the city, an anxious ride to the hospital, a thrilling event or a reflective ride home. As an Uber driver, I have to take a glance at the city when going over Story Bridge, especially at night. But better still appreciate the city and the bridge from accommodation at Kangaroo Point or from the Brisbane Riverwalk from the city Riverside to Howard Smith Wharves beneath the bridge. Yes, the traffic can get a little stuck at peak times but so does any bridge. If you are in a hurry, take the tunnel, but why not slow down and take the bridge? It will be nearly 100 years old when the Olympics come to town. Let's make our mark from this bridge, so watch out Sydney Harbour Bridge! Brisbane is booming with investment, interstate and international workers and tourists. These stories and future ones are the reason this 5-star bridge deserves to be lit up with lights and fireworks 🎆🎆🎇 at every chance.

Story Bridge is the biggest bridge in all Australia! Completed in 1940, it’s now the most iconic landmark in Brisbane The bridge connects the 2 shores from the famous Kangaroo Point to Fortitude Valley. You can cross the bridge by walk, which I recommend if you want to enjoy one of the best Brisbane view. If you are more adventurous, you can climb the bridge and get thrills and spills!

After completing our flight from San Antonio Texas to Brisbane we checked into our hotel along the river walk at 9 o'clock, and walked along the river front to unwind. When we reached the bridge we were treated to its constantly changing lights that were enhanced by the Central Business District lights. Well worth a night walk.

The Brisbane Story Bridge is an iconic landmark in the city and definitely worth a visit. However, the architecture surrounding the bridge doesn't always bring out its best features. While the bridge itself is undeniably impressive, some of the buildings and structures around it did not compliment the view and make it difficult to fully appreciate its beauty. That being said, there are still plenty of great vantage points to take in the bridge from, and it's definitely worth seeking them out. One of the best ways to experience the Story Bridge is to take a walk or bike ride along the riverfront, where you can get an unobstructed view of the bridge and the surrounding area. There are also a number of parks and lookout points that offer great views. In terms of accessibility, the Story Bridge is well-served by public transportation, and there are plenty of parking options in the area as well. Overall, while the architecture around the Story Bridge may not always do it justice, it's still a must-see attraction in Brisbane. Whether you're a local or a visitor, taking in the bridge from one of the many viewpoints is a great way to appreciate its unique beauty and place in the city's history.

Such a terrific experience to enjoy with my teenage children. We celebrated their milestone birthdays with a twilight climb and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Darcy, was terrific leading the climb and was fun and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this Brisbane experience.

Probably the most famous of all the bridges in Brisbane. It runs from the CBD to Kangaroo Point and you can walk over it on a footpath. You can also do a guided tour and walk over it as well if you want to. Not a bad view from the city side, and you can take the elevator down to Howard Smith Wharves if you wanted to check out the food and drink options or get the ferry.

Great spot for evening walks and clear your mind on a weekday. You can easily get from Fortitude Valley to Kangaroo Point. I just read that the bridge was named after John Douglas Story, who was an influential public servant back in the days.

Handy Bridge for crossing to Kangaroo Point. If you are a pedestrian, watch out for cyclists and scooter riders as they zoom last. The western crossing gets a nice look at the city and Kangaroo Point.

The Brisbane Story Bridge is a great gateway between North and South Brisbane. A well photographed landmark, has an LED lightshow that changes colour based on historical events etc. A bunch of bars and restaurants at the base, and as a good backdrop for a photo with the Brisbane city in the background.

If you're in Brisbane, you'll likely find yourself crossing the Story Bridge several times. While it might not be a must-visit, being centrally located, there's no need to specifically plan for it in your itinerary. Just be aware that parking around this area can be a bit tricky. There is a free ferry ⛴️ in Brisbane which will take you through the Centre of Brisbane

We walked the bridge north then took the lift down to Felons for a drink and coffee. Then we walked back the other side. A most enjoyable walk and would like to walk more along the river. We also took a river cruise which also went under the bridge.

This bridge is amazing!! Being from Melbourne I had only heard about this bridge and so I made it a must to check out on my visit to Brisbane. With a long rich history, this bridge is something special. With great views from either side of the bridge, you can use the walking tracks to overlook Brisbane River. At night time the bridge puts on a show, flashing its various coloured lights for all to see. Definitely a must see for all visiting Brisbane.

Try the bridge climb to take in a sunrise or sunset or even during the day for great views over the city of Brisbane, plus the boating traffic on the river.
