😠 I have never felt so ashamed to be a Christian. It has been 4 1/2 years since this church rejected my daughter because she has Down Syndrome. We were told we either had to miss the service and attend Sunday School with her, or employ a blue carded Carers to accompany her. This was for a beautiful 4... People often mention church,

I have never felt so ashamed to be a Christian. It has been 4 1/2 years since this church rejected my daughter because she has Down Syndrome. We were told we either had to miss the service and attend Sunday School with her, or employ a blue carded Carers to accompany her. This was for a beautiful 4 year old little girl. This church that prides itself on its giving, with hundreds of members, could not come up with one volunteer to help her out for one hour a week. It certainly drove home the reason I had noticed so few disabled congregants. This experience left me so jaded, that the only times I have set foot inside a church since has been for a wedding, a couple of funerals and a baptism. The fear of going through something like this again is too painful for me to face.

An incredible community filled with encouraging and positive people. Anyone and everyone is welcomed with open and gracious arms. The facilities and services are very modern (with an amazing espresso bar/cafe on location) and family friendly areas too, which is amazing for all family sizes and ages. If you are facing any challenges and don't know where to start, or just wanting more out of life - I'd highly recommend visiting one of the many services or events coming up. A great way to meet new friends. Enjoy.

My family went to Nexus for the first time last week. We were so happy to be welcomed warmly and really enjoyed how Ps Nathan delivers his sermons. Fun, funny, engaging and inspiring. I was quote emotional at the first service and was giving a very warm and comforting hug from Bec. Honestly really enjoyed the whole experience. A great church ran by great people.

I expect I will get chastised for this statement. However as a long time elderly parishioner I was absolutely appalled that a fellow Paris her who we all know of, assaulted a young man last night at the year 9 graduation. I witnessed the entire event and in that moment I was truly ashamed as a Christian to witness such a a shocking event on the church grounds. I expect some cold stares this weekend but what happened last night was utter violence and I hope the young man is doing okay . As a christian this shamed me to my very core.

I visited some friends up in Brisbane and we decided to go check out Nexus Church for the first time. We all had positive things to say about the place. Worship was great! The message was great. Good preaching, straight from the Bible. Though I don't have kids of my own, the kids ministry looking very vibrant. There were a lot for smiling kids and parents at the end of the service. One thing that stood out to me was seeing the pastor's and leaders of the church out and about talking with people before and after the service. Especially, for large churches this doesn't happen enough, and it was encouraging to see. There's a good heart at the core of this church and it's very evident that Jesus is at work in it. Would easily go back again!
