Great bagels and freshly squeezed juices. The staff are friendly and the cafe is relaxing and welcoming. Make sure you check out the specials boards for tasty treats!! Their schmere bagels 🥯 delicious!

On the list of my favourite cafes! They are not wrong when they describe themselves as part cafe, part living room and a whole lotta lovely. Instantly you feel like you could slink into a comfy corner, put your feet up (maybe actually don't) and do your thing whilst being genuinely welcomed home. The location and space is airy, attracts the sunlight and comfy as hell. The staff are genuine in their desire to serve you up some tasty eats and brew and you this consistent with each team member and each customer. I ordered the vegan bagel, a soy latte and then also an almond latte. The bagel was fresh, GREAT size (I hate leaving hungry) and full of flavour and the coffee was strong, smooth and consistent. Literally cannot complain

Lovely place to sit, eat and spend a few hours. They have a bottomless coffee option for an extra $2 on top of the $5 coffee. The quality of the drip coffee is very good. Bagels were excellent and dietary requirements can be accommodated easily. We had the cheesy broccoli bagel and the chicken bagel with no cheese. Both were really excellent and delicious Service is very good, owner is extremely kind and welcoming and all staff are lovely. You always feel attended to. 2 bagels and 2 coffees (one of them unlimited) came to c. $48 so not too expensive either In a lovely peaceful and pretty location too, liked the vibe and decor a lot as well as surrounding. They DO have a bathroom, it's just you have to go around the back, but it's clean, well maintained and pleasant.

Poor quality coffee, knife not washed, no table water offered, average staff attitude at till, and still absolute premium price point. Subpar coffee, food and service. Used to be expensive but pretty good, now just premium pricing for a very average cafe, not to mention the three lanes of noisy traffic. $18 for a basic toasted sandwich, there is much better value and quality to be found.

Really yum bagels and coffee, with a beautiful outlook over the Roma Street Parklands in a character building.

My friend recommonded me to try this cafe, and now I'd love to recommond it to you. There are a variety of bagels to choose, which they are concentrating on and really good at. Otherwise, you won't want to miss the coffee, not matter espresso or white coffees are nice and enjoyable. My favorite part was the environment. It's beautiful and literary, you can spend time with friend there, or enjoy it alone with nice lunch, amazing coffee and some reading, like me. Actually I didn't want to leave since I've taken a seat until they were closing.

This place is great and have a creative dish taste so delicious. So glad to order a take-out and the service is great and fast. I like to come back and dine in here with my kids and taste the bugers and other foods. I just love the coffee and everything they served here.

Brilliant little dog friendly cafe, there's a decent amount of seating inside and a couple tables outside too. Their covid process is super simple and easy to do as well. They have a good range of drinks and a decent breakfast menu. Definitely recommend a visit! #coffee #fruittoast #dogfriendly #bagels

    Best mushroom burrito in town

Went to scout cafe for breakfast and ordered the meat version of Scouts Honour. It was super delicious! The egg was perfectly cooked with the yolk nice and gooey! The sourdough remained nice and crispy and didn't become soggy! The pork and maple sausage tasted so good and flavoursome. Such a great combination! Also ordered the ice latter which was refreshing on a hot day! Even though it was hot, we sat outside as it was super busy inside (but a lovely day to do so!)! Great service too!

Amazing Café, perfect spot for Breakfast or Lunch. I went twice on my stay the first mid-week so a quieter day had the Brekky Bagel, freshly squeezed orange juice and the best latte I've ever had. My second visit on a busy Sunday service still great and the food still equally as good a great sign of a well ran business. On the weekends they do meat and veggie full brekkies that I highly recommend and again the coffee 10/10 made by a different barista. These guys know what they are doing, if you're in Brisbane please do yourself a favour and go. I'll be back when I'm next in town.

I've been frequenting Scout for almost 2 years now. The owners and staff are delightful. The food and coffee is great! The big table at the back is perfect for doing study/work during the week and perfect for escaping the heat in summer.

Food tastes yummy😋😋. Very busy cafe (may be cz its Sunday) Juice tasted fresh. Good ambience. Service was good and it can be a bit long wait for food which is warned by the staff when u order. Overall would come back for those bagels 🥯

World’s best Breakfast bagel 🥯!!! Ok maybe not world best because I’ve never had a breakfast bagel in any other part of the world but definitely Australia’s best. So yummy and plenty of choices but can’t go past the traditional breakfast bagel or the salmon bagel. Coffee is really good too and the staff are super friendly. Great local business.

Excellent cafe with possibly the best bagels in town. Both decently portioned and well priced, their bagels are awesome, with a wide variety of options available. Their cake slices and desserts are also delicious 😋

Super cute little cafe with delish bagels! I got a plain bagel with the vegan sun-dried tomato and cashew schmear and an iced latte on almond milk and it was so good 😩 service was lovely too!

Scout cafe is one of my favourite breakfast spots in Brisbane. I love the bagels and if it is too busy in the shop they allow you to eat in the park across the road and they bring your food to you. And the brownies are great too

Amazing bagels! Very friendly service, and delicious Saigon. Came in on a public holiday and even the limited day menu was scrumptious - will be back ☺️

Always a cozy nook to drop in for a quick bite. I was by myself and shared the table out the back, which had a nice vibe. The new menu is sure to be a hit!

The breakfast was amazing. Absolutely gave me what I was expecting. Such a big portion with eggs, bacon and veggies. I recommend this place when you are in Brisbane.

  • 2/5 Vicky B. 4 months ago on Google
Maybe just due to time of year but they didn’t have many of the items on the menu (including cream cheese which seems like an error for a place that focuses on bagels). Crazy expensive - $45 for 2 bagels which were nice enough but not worth almost a whole pineapple! $16 for coffee and a cake I’d just try somewhere 5 minutes further out and pay 2/3 the price. Staff were friendly and seating and parking was easy enough. Responding to the questions: 1 avocado bagel with bacon + 1 brekkie bagel (the most basic thing you’ve ever seen) = $45 No it wasn’t multiple coffees

Scout really is a lovely place to come. The girls are warm & welcoming and great with kids. Children's toys kept on the wall behind the bar, are passed out to the littlies, much to their excitement. I ordered the Scouts Honour, essentially a British Big Brekky but with a local twist. Coffees are hot and the chai soy latte's come in a little red pot for you to pour tableside. Chilled bottles of water are regularly put on the table, collected & replaced just before you can finish them! I liked this greatly, always having chilled water on hand. Everyone was smiley, but the warm genuine ones, like the staff actually want to be here and enjoy what they do! 730-8am seems to be the busiest time, however the numbers thin out just after 8. Local paramedics stop for takeaway coffee and brekky rolls on the run.

Had breakfast here two weeks ago during the holiday period and there was a short queue. We were attended to promptly and got a table outside within 15 minutes. Ordered the brekky bagel and a raspberry smoothie for myself and the salmon bagel and iced chocolate for my girl, both of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. The bacon in the brekky bagel was thick cut and tasty without being too salty. Raspberry smoothie was ok, but nothing special. Definitely recommend coming here for the food!

I am really fussy about my coffee and this is in my top 5 in Brisbane. I buy my (Supreme) beans there for when I make my own coffee at home. The staff are really friendly and the food is good too.

Best staff, coffee, sweeties and bagels you’ll ever find.

  • 1/5 Bonnie R. 4 years ago on Google
This is the third time I have been here, and the third time they have taken over 15 minutes to make a simple coffee order. Even when it's not busy with only one or two people ahead of you, these guys seem to move so slowly that they themselves seem to need a coffee, pronto. Being a cafe that would cop so much traffic from those on the way to the city for work, I think the cafe needs to consider that not everyone is stuck in a the 70s like they appear to be.

A funny small room without much atmosphere or embiance. Staff sort half interested in serving you. Stale card and take away coffee not as ordered. Forgettable.

  • 5/5 Grace M. 4 years ago on Google
Needed a coffee and some breakie before heading to an appointment in Spring Hill and decided to pop into Scout on our way through. I have been following them on Instagram for awhile but haven't had the opportunity to go there until today. For a Monday morning it was busy! All tables taken by the time we sat down after 9am. Very nice coffees (strong, well made) and we had the bagel, fruit toast and kiddies cheese toastie for my son. Nothing overly fancy but very nice. The only downside was the time for the food to come out - not *too* long but when you are on a time constraint I would take this into consideration. Staff were friendly. This cafe reminds me of what I would find in Melbourne or inner city Sydney (ahh those were the days!).
